I own a sony ericsson xperia mini st15i, I donno y unexpectedly the home screen started rotating when i rotated the handset.. i checked display settings and the auto screen rotation is disabled but yet only home screen and settings screen rotate when the phone is rotated.. I donno how to disable it cuz i dont like the home screen rotation..can anyone please help me how to disable the home screen rotation?

i think you have installed a launcher which has auto rotation enabled.. try downloading any other launcher whose auto rotation is disabled.. :angel:

thanks but No aneel i havent installed any launcher..its the sony's default.. and the OS is 4.0.4 stock rom ICS
ohh well.. i just rebooted my phone and my home screen is back to normal...its not rotating anymore....weird..sounds like its a bug....

So. I have a problem. After I rooted the phone with Gingerbreak, the autorotate is not working any more. I don't think the problem is because of the root, but the damn thing is not working in games too....
Any ideas ?

Forget about this and sorry about the post. I have shut down the phone ( With the auto rotate screen option off ) , take off the battery, put it back in, turn on the phone and enable the Auto Rotate Screen option. Done. The accelerometer is back again
Is it just me or anyone else have same problem with auto rotate not working in home screen display? I just found out that my Mini Pro SK17i with default 2.3.3 have problem auto rotating in home screen now. After I click an app or widget the display will go landscape from portrait if I hold in horizontal position, but it stays portrait even when I hold it in horizontal position while in home screen. The only exception is when I slide open the keyboard then the display will go landscape. Is it normal or is it just me? Is there any solution.
I'm led to believe that this is a part of the design, and the home screen assumes you will pull out the keyboard when you flip it sideways. :/
I've noticed a similar issue while using my Sk17a as well, at least.
Yes, its normal. The display only rotates when you pull out the keyboard

I'm getting this problem even with keyboard out, will test again when my phone is fully charged and back up running.
I'm using Mini pro, latest versions of miniCM7 & nAA Kernal.

And I don't think this is normal... before I flashed with miniCM7 it rotated fine and the fact it does for a second then rotates back is not normal in my eyes.
[EDIT] Right I have found out that official updates have caused this problem but I should still be-able to get the home screen to rotate when the keyboard is slid out. This does not happen.... anyone know why or could point me to a fix? And I have auto-rotate already on
When i got my S3 the home screen is always at portrait mode even if the screen rotation is on and i turn the phone sideways. But after 2 firmware updates I'm now on XXBLFB the phone suddenly can go to landscape mode. My problem is it is now stuck on landscape mode even if the phone is already vertical.. Any one has the same issue? Need your help on this.. thanks

Hi. Have you tried going to Settings> Display and scroll to the bottom page, then select Gyroscope calibration? Most probably it will fix your issue after you calibrate it
Either calibration,but also the launcher(not tw launcher,i think) has this option to set screen rotation.

After i flashed Paranoid Android rom v1.95a on to my S2 everything is ok except the lockscreen it has a TV effect while turning the screen off but whenever i was checking the time i lock the phone it will have a little bug its like when i pressed the power button once the lockscreen came out and i locked it back and it will go black after that lockscreen appear agn for like 1 sec n disappear i have no idea whether isit the TV effect problem or isit my phone .
If can i would like to disable the TV effect lockscreen .Help Thanks.

Try going to System Settings/Developer Options and set Window Animation Scale to .5x that desabled the CRT off for me.
After I change the windows animation scale to .5 now is when I lock Den will have the bug but before that it was when was at the lock screen den I got the bug

It wasn't a bug, it is a feature called CRT off effect. For current CM10 the "feature" wasn't working so well, so sometimes it appear and sometimes it don't.
some times i experience that my phone's screen turns from portrait to landscape. But how is this possible, i turned off the auto rotation feature. it happens when i connect my phone to charger or usb port of my computer, and today when i was watching a video i got a call i disconnected the call and suddenly my screen go landscape the lock screen where we draw pattern. My question is why is this happening? can i turn this feature permanently on?
My phone is Sony Ericsson Live With Walkman WT19i.

I am using Sony Ericsson Live With Walkman WT19i and its unrooted, i only upgraded it from GB to ICS 4.0.4 (the official update).
