Alright I have been having some problems with my Note 2 that would be for instance I used to use TWRP but know I use ClockWorkMod Recovery and I don't want to anymore but I try to switch back and it said it did but when I go into recovery mode it just goes into ClockWorkMod Recovery. Also another problem I am having would be I am trying to flash over a new rom (Jedix17) but when I put it on my sd card it says its on there on my computer but when I go into CWMR it nots even in there.
Anyways or ideas that you guys can think of to fix this would be greatly appreciated.
How are you installing TWRP? I would say ODIN or adb it. Also CWM is not seeing which SD, internal or external? Put TWRP on internal and try that if you have not already.
Just download goo manager and install the TWRP recovery through that.

Thought it was pulled from goo cause of having to have the correct boot loader? I know it said my device was not compatible or couldn't find it for my device. Pretty sure that it said that on the twrp page.

I installed twrp2 on my I717 Galaxy Note and want to return back to CWM. Does anyone know how to do this? I have all my backups in CWM and want to go back.
Please Help
Just put CWM.zip on ur sd card and flash it.
Twrp should be replaced with CWM.

I found cwm sketchy with backups and switched back to braways. I had cwm touch installed and ROM manager(finally supported) but the issues were too many.
I found using "flash touch recovery" from my tools in aospxxx works nicely.

How is this done? I have it on my SD card, but get an error if I tap to install...
An error you say?
That's specific...
What....error?

You are right! I should have been more specific! I know better! The error is: "No applications can perform this action."
Are you sure that's a recovery flashable zip, and not just a zipped up .tar package for Odin?

The file contains a directory called META-INF and recovery.img...
That's for recovery, the Mets-inf folder is the script to write the recovery.img
That's weird, You may try downloading the zip fresh, or if ask else fails grab the Odin flashable tar and use that.

Now, I can run TWRP and run it from there without any ill effects (meaning, a bricked phone!), yes?
Yup.
Given you download the correct file for this device.
If that still fails, which I dunno why I would, it should go without saying The Odin file, will need Odin a pc and a Usb cable

Thanks for all of your help so far! Please forgive the noob question, but where do I find the file you're referring to? I have Odin and the proper cable...

That has the Odin flashable cwm touch file... that version is outdated so after flashing that, you'll have cwm, but flashing a newer Rom zip might end up with a "status 7 error" in recovery.
At that point I'd personally use goo manager go grab the latest version of a cwm zip, that'll be usable in the version of cwm I posted above.

Are you saying I should _not_ use TWRP to put CWM on?
No, it should work, just saying if it still gives you the proverbial finger, Odin is your friend and that version is just the latest with an Odin .tar
So to have your cake (cwm) and eat it too (flash new roms) you'll need to update your recovery from that older version of cwm
So you said you get an error when you tap to install? You should be flashing that zip in recovery like you would a ROM or mod. Is that what you did? After it installs just reboot recovery within twrp and bam!!! You'll have cwm.
Thanks so much for your help...my problem remains, so I may go back to a stock ROM for T-Mobile, since that is my provider, and see if I can solve it... Before I installed CWM, I could sms/mms to my e-mail address...I can't any longer.
I tried installing cwm with rom manager and when I attempt to boot into recovery I am at the android screen with a triangle. I then used rom manager to flash rom racers cwm and I thought it was successful but I got the same screen when booting into recovery. So I used goo manager to flash TWRP. Same issue when booting into recovery. I am unlocked and rooted. Any ideas on what I could be doing wrong?

Here's an idea - stop using ROM manager!
How about you try flashing recovery using more traditional methods, like fastboot? That hardly ever fails.

I'm was just following the directions in the thread for installing cwm. The directions are dated since this is an older device. That's why I asked the question. TWRP is the recovery of choice for me on my GS II.

Did you delete (or backup) install-recovery.sh from /system/etc? If not, then that is most likely causing your problem. See the "Miscellaneous" section of this 2nd post from romracer's thread.
I want to try and get the cyanogenmod 10.1 ROM on my phone, but I just tried it through TWRP and it didn't work (kept getting Service Wizard and Gapps not working in beginning). I looked through the forum right here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2121931
and post #5 said it can't be flashed through TWRP. So, now I want to get rid of TWRP and try to use clockwork recovery mod in order to install the ROM. How would I go on about deleting TWRP and installing clockwork recovery mod?
You can install ROM Manager and install Clockwork Mod through there, although I have flashed clockwork mod from TWRP and vice versa before.
I have no idea why but the cyanogemod won't install, and it keeps falling on clock work, I even tried the older versions from 4/20/13. Have no idea what to do now

This is the Verizon Note 2 sub-section. You might want to try in the HTC One, and get better/faster responses.
Okay, so I was trying to install CM 10.2.1, but I got a missing md5 file error, so it didn't work out. I am using TWRP as my recovery, and naturally I wiped everything before flashing, so I then went into some of the recoveries on my sd card to try to restore from those, unfortunately all attempts at restoring have failed,. My next attempt was trying to use the adb sideload feature of TWRP to try to put a new ROM zip file into it, and try to flash that, but TWRP just hangs at "Starting sideload feature" and never really starts it so I am unable to do that. Any ideas on how to get things working? Also why is TWRP unable to do anything correctly? (TWRP v2.6.31)

Why don't you just take the SD card out of your phone and then put it into your computer and move the ROM file and gapps file to it that way?? Unless you don't have the SD card adapter.
I was having random problems with TWRP myself and got Philz Touch and now I'm good. Just a thought.

TWRP 2.5.0.2 is supposedly the most stable loki recovery for our phone. I would try "downgrading" to that first, If you still have problems with 2.5.0.2 then I would switch to Philz Touch. I had to switch to Philz because TWRP just doesn't like my S4 for some reason. It sucks though, TWRP has a way better UI than CWM.

It's just the little things like there's no real graphic interface, it's just a throwback Windows menu, or the fact that dalvik cache needs to be wiped separately, etc.

Well. You should do it every time if you want to enter into the CWM. If you want to change your recover mode permenently you should follow some other procedure!
