Head over to i9100 forums and look there. There are many threads there relating to this....also, when you ask, spend a little time explaining exactly how you lost it.
If you haven't backed it up you may have to send it to Sammy
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda premium
install original samsung GB firmware, root it, back up efs, install whatever rom you like and revert your efs backup... duh... besides: this question has been answered several times... on the correct forums...
I'd vote to close this thread -_-
Hello Everybody,
After rooting and flashing my galaxy S3 GT-I9300 I got some problems. I can't connect to the network and my IMEI has changed. I tried changing the IMEI following the instructions in this guide.
That didn't work. I figured that my phone might be t'mobile branded but i'm still not sure. So i installed a t-mobile ROM. This gave me more problems. The phone didn't start at all. Even charging was not possible.
At the store they flashed the stock rom for me. It does start but still weird IMEI and doesn't connect to the network. I also have these signs on screen (See print screen).
Can anybody help me please? Thank you!:good:
(sorry for my bad English)
Please ask this question in the relevant IMEI thread.
Basics read first.

Hi everyone,
I hope someone can assist me.
I rooted my i9300 device using Samsung Galaxy S3 ToolKit.
After installing Omega ROM 46.1
What i discovered after installing omega rom is that my IMEI number had changed to 004999010640000 and am no longer registered on my network.
I then went to rom manager as i had a backup of my sock rom i restored it but still no network says not registered to network.
i went to a couple of forums n dowloaded offical stock rom from this link (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2005286) still no network no back up nothing and the emie is still changed 004999010640000.
current version on mmy ph is
GT I9300
model 4.1.2
basebande version : I9300xxemb6
kernel version : 3.0.31 -1071725
build number : jzo54k.i9300xxemc3
after installing stock rom from this link (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2005286)
So basically:
I get the wrong IMEI number when running stock android from Samsung.
and nothing seems to work as not network
Can someone assist me with this? as i am new to changing roms .
You're going to have to search, as discussion of methods to change a device's IMEI is illegal in many places and cannot be discussed on XDA.
Sorry that it's not much help, but the answers are out there if you use Google properly.

Go to Faqs and Guides and read and post in the EFS/ IMEI thread we do not need yet another thread.
As it looks like you failed to backup your EFS as per the instructions its best to take it to a service centre for repair .
Please read the stickies then if you have any questions post in the sticky thread which is actively maintained. Also its IMEI not EMIE
Hi , all ..
I've had a problem with my GT-I9300 which made me pretty disappointed about it getting fixed ..
but after one month of searching and trying what ever i can try to solve this problem , i finally did .
- The problem accrued when i tried to flash Android 4.1.2 via odin
and then after i flashed another frimware which is CM 10.2 , my service was gone and my IMEI was changed to something like "****0000".
you see what happened is that when i flashed that 4.1.2 frimware the modem has been updated and when i got the CM 10.2 the modem was still updated , and the new frimware cannot recognize it any more , flashing back to the same frimware " Android 4.1.2 " wont solve the problem .
The solution :
you just need to flash Android " 4.2 " then try to find the proper modem from this link here :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2076857
after i tried a couple of them , my phone came back to life again the service is back and the IMEI is restored .
" just find the proper modem " that is the solution .
ps : it took me a whole month of searching and trying solutions to finally solve this problem .
Hope this would help guys , i registered especially to post this .

Then you didn't try harder. Read that thread again and again and understand it as not all of us are willing to flash a leaked firmware just to fix the IMEI.
Read and understand it especially the "/efs partition format changed".

i got your point , not every one would try to flash a leaked version just to fix ..
but in my case which is the case of many users i have seen ( the reason why i posted this in the first place ) i had no service warranty so i cannot take it to repair and simply fix it , i had to go with all the miss to get it right.
appreciating your corporation
