v0.5.3446.30305
Fixed issue with unable to load on other devices than WVGA.
Fixed shortcut issue - shortcut is now correctly created in Games folder
v0.5.3446.13816
This is a prerelease version. I will send you new versions as I manage to assemble reasonable amount of new functionalities or bug corrections.
For now this version does not support saving of the current scene nor loading it. Also there is no way to configure application. This single version supports QVGA, WQVGA, VGA and WVGA devices. QVGA and WQVGA devices are supported on the request of my close friends although almost none of those devices have G-Sensor. They are good with the possibility to wobble things with their fingers. It is also possible to change the look of the menu and wobble area.
Short description of menu buttons from top downwards:
1. Exit App
2. Load image
3. Add wobblie
4. Remove Wobblie
5. Start/Stop wobbling
6. Favorites (TODO)
7. Settings (TODO)
8. Info
9. Show/Hide menu
To enter your own images to wobble just copy them to Backgrounds folder that is located under the app root (Program Files\hdWobble\backgrounds).
Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mmzMwVzxZuQ
Any functionality suggestions and requests are welcome. Cool one will be put into todo list. Also report any discovered bugs and issues.
New name for the app
Thanks everybody for your suggestions for the new name. But it seems that you are stuck with hdWobble. That name caught on really good across the net so I think that changing it is futile. I can live with this name. Can you?
Features:
supports VGA, QVGA, WQVGA and WVGA displays
custom image loading (tested so far: jpeg, png, bmp)
adding any number of round wobbling objects
deleting wobbling objects
resizing wobbling objects
vibration feedback when wobbling objects are pressed or dragged
start wobbling using g-sensor, stylus, fingers...
TODO list:
app configuration panel
load previous work and save current work
solve the problem with some jpg images not loading
vibration response on some devices
album scrolling
minor glitches and bugs

There will definatelly be a VGA version. I'm trying to make it device independent so it could work on all resolutions with all devices (even those without G-sensor).

I hope by the end of this weekend I will release a version that is more stable and has all main features implemented, at least with the basic functionality working ok. Currently I'm too bussy to do it durring the week.
Have a little more patience, everybody! ;-)
I started this thread just to see if there is enough interest in this app so I can keep working on it (like I was in any doubt ;-) ). But as I can see, it seems it is going to be one looooooong summer!
my hero! XD
Great news...look forward to seeing the first results.
I wouldnt mind having a crack at a few iphone style apps like isteam and ifooty but i have no developer experience and wouldnt even know where to start. a point in the right direction would be greatly apprecieted for learning to develop apps?

|RAPH|ROM|6.5|WWE|Beta 2 ROM *Blue Shine?*

Here is a ROM that I'm working on. Far from finished, but I wanted to get some input on it. Still working on better folders, once I figure out how to do it, and some registry changes. I hope to have this as a final version soon. I can't see any of the functionality change if there is a new release. But, feedback is what I'm looking for. I still have a lot to learn. Thank you.
Also, how do you list the software installed? I plan on trying to keep everything up to date as much as possible.

Beta 2: http://rapidshare.com/files/264836743/ruu_signed.nbh
i guess I need to go back to the previous connection settings. The new ones seem kind of flaky. oh well. I created the rom before checking my work, now I know to check before rushing.
Hi splxtreme,
I created a free Collector account on www.rapidshare.com ... that's where folks are pulling my kitchen files from.
Doesn't appear to impose limits other than wait time for downloaders.
HTH,
Thanks for the info. I'll try that out.
im hoping for someone who can port the latest OSes into the fuze, since the awesome Da_G kitchens are coming to an end.
Try to get something that is lightweight, barebones with OS and the good HTC packages like album and wifi sharing. apart from that keep it very lean so that people can choose what they need and go from there.
OK, added some things and changed some. Hopefully this is already stable enough for people to use. I'm not done with it yet. So, enjoy.
i wonder if its possible to do a rom as i describe below.
- ROM should have only barebones OS simply tuned for the fuze.
- All other applications and settings should be packaged to individual cabs.
- Provide a list of all cabs with dependencies if any.
- Provide UC script to install all cabs in right order by default.
This way, we start off with a barebones rom and people who dont wish to tinker, can just use the given UC script to do all their packages, but if you want, you can remove some UC entries in case you dont want some packages.

Fantastic, that would be something someone like me would be looking forward to
Some of the things i use are
HTC wifi sharing
Facebook
Palringo
Google maps
Bing search
windows live
lumos
skype
pocketwit
gpstest
office mobile
right now im using energyrom warhawk which is fantastic. I like the energyrom series since they are pretty and yet stable and fast. however they do have some fluff (not criticizing, NRG has made a great rom) that i dont use. im pretty sure if that was cleaned out then it would be a wee bit faster for me. but i dont have to time to go thru with Da_G's clean rom, and try to bring it to energy roms level, so if i could just get all settings and software in a neat cab list, i can certainly take a few minutes to prune that and get my ideal set working.
fluffs - what am i talking about?
things like beejiveIM - its beta and crashes all the time, non stock games, widgets, wifi monster are some of the things i could do without.
oooh and for name, how about "Touch of Blue"

[APP] Shopping List Mobile

Hello guys.
This is my first application for windows mobile. I developed this in a week or so. I used the Windows SDK 6, and I have only tested it on WM6.5 but I assume it will work on WM6.X.
This is a simple application to make lists of what you need to buy. So that way, when you remember to buy something, you put it in the list, and when you need to remember what to buy, you just have to load the list.
Pretty basic stuff.
How to use
It's pretty simple. When you open the application, you’ll have a text box and some buttons. The Add button will add to the list what is written in the text box. The Remove button will remove the selected item from the list. The Clean button will clean the list. Then you have the Save List, Load List, Delete list and About menus. Those are pretty obvious.
How to Install
Run the CAB file from your phone.
Requirements
Windows Mobile 6 ( not tested with previous versions )
.Net Framework Compact 3.5

Note: this is my first ever release for the windows mobile platform. reply with bugs, suggestions, and criticism is greatly accepted, as long as it's to make my software better.
Thank you.
Not bad for a first app, but if you cold make items little bit biger(more finger frinedly) and little bit nicer graphics
Thanks Yes I know... graphics are not my thing either... I might ask for help from a friend thank you for testing
I was looking for something like this but (and i know this may be past you) I would love to be able to have the ability to share with other devices or pc's so say my wife who is at home can make the list on the pc and send it to my device (could be built in transfer or email somthing liek that) and then i can do the shopping.
that would be fantastic
it is a good start though
cheers

If you want something more sophisticated and with lots of options, like stores, categories, per item prices etc etc, try HandyShopper (free), it is my choice shopping app since years.
Well, as this is the first release its normal everything else might be better...
Thanks for your suggestions
best of luck, though there are alot of competing products out there.
Personally, I use GrocerySort from slimcode
Good App
I usually just use notes for shopping lists, this is a nice little improvment. Faster response than some of the fancy graphics shopping list apps I have used and when shopping basic and easy to use is all I want. Have had no probelms with it so far, the only feature request would be to be able to tick off or strikethrough an item so when in the store I can mark off as I go what I have and havent got.
A good first app, keep it up.
Snowdan.

Thanks.. I appreciate that... the Remove button should delete the selected item in the list. I would like to make a checkbox next to the item but its not available in WinMobile SDK... so, waiting for new release from Microsoft.
Thank you for using
Hopefully I can make it better and better.

Great application. It's always inspiring to see a new avid developer in the community. I have no requests because this is your first release. I only wish you good luck and say try to remain motivated.
Thanks I will
There's a new version... be sure to check it out
Hello people. Just to let you know that there are been some changes here on my software. Now there are some check boxes.
Download is on first post. I've updated it.
Thanks.
Looks great, I gave it a try, but was sadden that hardware key support wasn't included.
never really thought about it I'll add on next release
thanks
Great app! Thank you.
Nice easy ad small ... need other ?
.. well maybe there a couple of function that you can evaluate to include in future realese:
1) Autoload a default shopping list.
2) hide/unhide marked item from the list
I downloaded the 1.23 today, I'll test the next time I'll got to shop.
Hello,
I have a suggestion for a feature.
In order to always know how much you will have to pay at the end, you could add a column with allow entering the item cost, frequent buyer card discount, promotions...
This allow to show the grand total.
Fil
Just tried your app, and really like it. I do, however, have some suggestions which I think would make this a killer app, while still keeping it small and simple.
1. Ability to edit items
2. Ability to filter completed items
3. Delete items either individually or several at a time
4. Change the order of items
Good work, and thanks for sharing.
Some suggestions:
1.Have to be two modes - making list and shopping. Making list mode we are almost already have. Just no need to delete last time marked items and next time typing them again - it is possible to check-uncheck and if it wasn't before so add something new.
In shopping mode necessarily full screen without any buttons, fields ets. only list with check boxes.
2.Check box must be at the right side
3.Checked items - crossed out and moved to the end of the list

[Q] Theme Builder for PC/Mac?

Is there a way to build Themer themes (or even Zooper widgets) on a PC or Mac and export them back out, transfer them to the device and import them into Themer?
I have been trying to build a theme but I keep getting frustrated with how cumbersome it is to use these tools on a touchscreen device. I would be able to create a theme a lot more quickly and efficiently if I could drag elements around with a mouse, type on a physical keyboard and make use of a larger screen with more real estate than my phone. I also think it would be much more precise.
A tool like this would be fairly easy to build. It'd just have to have a few basic options for the device like resolution and dpi and could also have presets so that a designer could select the device he or she is exporting to. This would also be helpful for people who are modifying themes to work with other devices or if users are running their phones with custom DPI settings (I do).
Would anyone else find this useful?
Please forgive me if this has been asked and answered already. I did a bunch of searching and couldn't come up with anything.
Thanks,
Cass

Yes. I second your idea. i did search for theme builder. nothing of that sort. on a different note , i did find an ancient theme builder for ancient symbian phones. i donot know whether to laugh or to cry. LOL

Hi, if you are asking if there is an App to build themes on a PC? If yes then the answer is sadly no.
However there is another option. You can use an Android VM such as GenyMotion. It no longer has Play Store access, so you will need to sideload Themer on it, but it does work well. http://www.genymotion.com/features/
the link doesn't work comes back as nothing found, fortunately this one does work https://cloud.genymotion.com/page/launchpad/download/
you wiull need to register and log in before download

Yeah, I started to do this but as the performance is fairly bad in emulation, I threw in the towel. If there is enough support, is this something that you guys would be willing to build? It's probably even something that could be built in a web app, meaning you could build it once and be done
The benefit here is that having a tool like this would open the door for a lot more designers. The more great themes you have in Themer the bigger your install base.
Thanks so much for responding so quickly
Edit: I misunderstood. I have tried the emulator provided with the SDK, but I'll give GenyMotion a shot also. Thanks for the suggestion.

We might have a look at an online version in the future, but that will only be once Themer is a lot more stable and we have more resources to work with. Thanks for the suggestion though!
it could be awesome for pc users
I installed Genymotion. Getting it configured with Themer took some doing, but once it was setup I had everything I needed. Thanks so much for this suggestion.
For those who want to do the same thing, there are some things you need to know. First, you need either a Google account or a Facebook account to log into Themer. That means that after you install GenyMotion, you need to do one of two things: either you need to 1) flash a Google apps package over the GenyMotion VM (a 4.3 apps package that works with Cyanogen mod works best), then log into Google, then update everything with the Play Store, and then install Themer; OR (and I didn't do this, so it might be more complex than this) sideload Facebook and sideload Themer, log into Facebook, then setup Themer.
The reason you need to do this is because in order to use Themer, you need to log in using either a Google account or a Facebook account, and Themer uses a list of accounts already on your phone (or in this case, the VM) to populate the dialog box that asks you to log in. That said, you want to have either a Facebook account or a Google account set up on the device (or VM) prior to launching Themer. Since I'd rather not ever use Facebook to do anything, that limits my option to Google.
It might be the case that if you exported themes from Themer and wanted to import it, that you might not have to go through any of these steps. However, if you want to be able to download existing themes from Themer and work with them as a starting point for building your theme, or even just pick them apart to figure out how they work in order to learn, you need to log in.
Someone correct me if I made this way more complicated than it needed to be.
As for developing a web client for theming, maybe this could be a community-led effort? I don't have the skill or time to do any of it, but if this is a popular request, perhaps we could organize a project and try to contribute to it. Is anyone interested?
