I've never made it to 280, but I'm still having the same issue. I even switched phones (vzw supplied refurb), but have the same problem with my new one. No one has been able to help me. I'm hoping gingerbread will fix it.

Have you tried using moto's task killer?
For me it's the "android system" app eating up the memory and obviously can't be killed.

go to this thread and get the lockring kit (theres 2 one for 2.3.3 and one for 2.3.4)
then you need to do this "Inside Idlescreen_Base.apk, decompile Lockscreen_shortcut.m10, in the editor tab expand the last item and you'll see Lockscreen_Shortcut, highlight it and under Known Properties make Visible = 0."
and thats thanks to triscuit1983

Something like this?
In terms of the carrier I used the QPST method a long time ago to remove the carrier banner. There are probably other methods but I haven't searched for any since mine is gone.
Before I give you any instructions on removing the time, are you familiar with M10Editor.exe?
That is exactly what I'm looking for. Not familiar with m10. Is it simple enough to figure out? I think I can manage.
Edit... Ok, just looked it up. I will download it and play around with it later today.

Go to the above link, I made a mini tutorial on using M10Editor.exe, it doesn't relate to what your doing, but the idea is the same.
Here is how you get rid of the time and date:
Load Idlescreen_Base.apk.
In the m10 files tab highlight 3rd to last item (Lockscreen_time.m10) and click Decompile/Show button.
In the editor tab expand the last item until you see lockscreen_time.
Highlight lockscreen_time and look to the right in the editor window.
Under "Known Properties" make Visible = 0.
Go back to the start tab and click save file.
Push through adb or put in a flashable zip and flash.
thanks, I've been asking for this for a while now.

I'd like to use this to remove the carrier as well as the time, but I am using a ported EVO Lockscreen on my merge with Sense 2.1

1)Under developer settings. Where u set the process limit it resets all the time.
2) When I use my camera and then back out of the camera my auto brightness turns off.
3)Edit: The REG 99 error on WiFi stinks. - known issue... Called tmo
4)Edit again: lock screen shortcuts? Can't change them anymore?- Addressed
5) I also noticed that when my mobile network data is off my 4g icon still pops up and shows sending and receiving. When I check settings it's off.
6) when u go into the phone and then press home and enter task manager, you can kill the processes and press back. When u do it switches between phone and task manager and will not. back o unless.
A bit annoying on these things. Anyone know of a solution? And Glacier if this is as simple as pinch the screen I'm sorry lol!

What about being able to change the volume with the phone locked? I thought this was a new feature? I see I can pull down the status bar from the lock screen and then adjust the volume, but this is just as many steps as unlocking the phone and changing the volume!
ALSO, what happened to the Panorama mode aka SweepShot for the camera? It dun work no more!

Lang isn't a word
And a question mark is used at the end of a question not a statement it changes the context in which something is said and this being the internet context is everything
Anyways, thanks whore is a commonly used word on xda it's used to describe people who only care about thanks and create multiple threads to get them. You can usually see them saying don't forget to hit thanks, I deserve thanks, 50 downloads and only 3 thanks. It is very annoying when people do this so please stop now. Look mate, im not here to have a fyt with you, i wrote that in kinda annoyed mood , then i was editing it but u posted before me, well i was saying that ..
Im sorry, i understand what you said, we are here for helping people and thats 100% true , but just think once, when someone spends the time to make a thead , and to work on the materials whatsoever that are in the thread, then its simply human nature that likes appreciation. As you got annoyed when i asked for thanks (and i totally understand your point) , in the exact same way i get annoyed when people here say "nice, thanks, loved your work, you are awesome , bla bla etc" this is not what the guy who helped need , if we go to xda rules , these words are just not required in xda , a simple "THANKS" button will say it all and it is mentioned in the introductory video of xda as well but still if u wanna praise someone , simply press thanks then say whatever ya want, which will look sensible and be probably good for all.
Well again, sorry for the bad attitude.

Looks mate, im not here to have a fyt with you, i wrote that in kinda annoyed mood , then i was editing it but u posted before me, well i was saying that ..

Full res.
Can you post those wallpapers in full res (1920 x 1080)?
I always would decompile and change the smali code on the latest GoSMS app and recompile and run it. I shared it once on XDA and had to take it down as XDA received a personal request from GoSMS to not host any modified apps on XDA.
So, to make things easier i made an xposed module to do the same things. Now updating the app with these features is a piece of cake. Plus, im technically not hosting a moddified GoSMS apk. Im hosting an Xposed module Only downside is yes you must be rooted and have Xposed installed. Where with a modified apk, no root is needed and anyone could use it.
TO INSTALL:
Download the attached apk to your device
Install the apk
Enable the module in Xposed framework
Reboot
THIS IS COMPATIBLE WITH:
ALL VERSIONS AND FUTURE UPDATES SHOULD BE COMPATIBLE
CHANGELOG:
Version 1.0.1:
- Added option to close main window
Version 1.0.2:
- Double click send option will not close main window when "close main window" option is enabled.
Version 1.0.5
- Made compatible with all versions of GoSMS (unless major update to GoSMS)

Wasn't finished with the thread guys. Sorry. Lol. Hit "submit" too quickly
how about on stock message? it would be really nice if we can set it on stock messages..
Happen to know if you can make the private box work on 4.4.2? Gosms has no priority in messages so everything shows up in your normal inbox

@elesbb,
great idea! Working very good on my S4.
Can you add an option to also close whole app GoSms except just to go out of conversation?
Thanks in advance.

I'm the master of laziness lol still procrastinating to do my homework plus I gotta clean my room lol.
But yes I can add that. However, if you press "menu > exit" the app closes. Then if you click the notification or the reply button on the widget, the main app stays closed unless you open it again. But I'll add it either way

Thank you for replay. What I meant is that when I go into GoSms only to send an message to a person and not to reply to an received message it will be great that after I send the message I automatically exit app. I assume we understand each other.
Thank you one more time.

Ahh yes i do understand you I usually use the "reply" button on the Widget to send a new SMS then pick from the recent contacts in the create message window. But, i have added that feature "close main window" to the next release. Will be uploading momentarily

Yay! Glad its working! And XDA is my "real life" lol
I wanna see if I can add an option, say double clicking the send button will send the message, close the message thread, then NOT close the main window..

I might have it to a "fling" instead, like if you fling up on the send button then it would send message and close reply window.
