So I decided to get the CWM Recovery TOUCH thru paypal from ROM Manager... and I seem to have lost it after installing a new ROM. It reverted back to the standard non touch recovery.. and I have no way of getting it back. I emailed the maker but he has not replied since a week. What to do?

Hello everyone.
I have a rather strange problem with my hero.
I'm using Amon_Ra 1.7.0.1, but I was curious about ROM manager and it's clockwork recovery.
I used included flash option to put clockwork into my phone. everything looked ok, until I tried to boot into recovery itself.
Phone froze showing Android.
I ripped the battery, ROM loaded correctly, ROM manager still saying that I have correct recovery flashed.
I flashed Amon_Ra again, using Android Commander, and it works as it should.
I don't know if Clockwork is worth attention, if Amon_ra works flawlessly, but I'm curious if someone had similar experience.
(oh, I tried to download apropriate ZIP from http://www.koushikdutta.com/2010/02/clockwork-recovery-image.html, but also no luck booting into recovery after flashing).

Same here, I used UnrEVOked 3.2.1, rooted perfectly, tried to boot into recovery and nothing, just a black screen with white borders, after several attempts, I bricked my phone, long story, so after a trip to Verizon, I got a brand new Incredible, rooted again with UnrEVOked, and again not able to boot into recovery. So I installed ROM Manager, and loaded an experimental version of CLockwork, I think 2.5.1.1, nearly the same thing happens, except now I got the weird red/green/blue/white boot screen flashing all at once. but the alternate recovery included with ROM Manager works just fineā¦ I don't what's going on.

Thanks alot... this worked for me...
Is ROM Manager fully functional on this phone now? Just wondered if all of the options: CWM, Updates, Fix permissions, etc. are all working for folks - with no issues. Will it update to CWM Touch?
Thanks for any input.
im running touch flawless but i cant seem to download and go straight to recovery i have to manual but cwm is working fine
I posted a lengthy question earlier on this....for me, ROM Manager 6.0.1.5 (non touch) insatalls and seems to work fine, however when I try to do a backup of my current ROM it does not fully do it.
Uninstalling ROM Manager and flashing via fastboot the posted CWM recovery, I was able to do a successful Nandroid.
Just sucks not being able to use ROM Manager to backup your current ROM...for me at least.
At the Rom Manager Website I see both versions for the DNA:
http://www.clockworkmod.com/rommanager
It says the version number (for both) should be 6.0.1.5. Currently running 6.0.1.2 on my phone.
But on my phone, if I click on Flash ClockworkMod Recovery, it says Unsupported Device. Hmmmmm
Any update on this?
Is ROM Manager now supporting the DNA?
Hello people....
I am new to SGS3 xda forum....i am from Pakistan...its been 2 weeks since i bought a SGS3 (second hand)...probably of 3mobile U.K...i was told by the seller that the phone was unlocked in Pakistan....as i tried system update from settings...it said that my phone was modified and could not be updated....so i decided to install CWM Touch on my SGS3 in order to create backup of my current stock ROM (4.1.1)...my phone is not rooted yet....i followed the instructions given in the following link:
http://jellybean-news.blogspot.com/2013/02/complete-guide-to-install-clockworkmod.html
Odin took 1 second and my phone was booted....Odin gave the Message ''Pass!''...everything went fine as it should have been...but when i went into the recovery mod...Stock Android Recovery is opening instead of CWM Touch....noting my phone is not rooted yet....it is also normally booting and everything is fine....can anybody guide me about the problem that i am currently facing...and its solution as well....?? Help Would Be Appreciated...
Edit:Just Flashed CF-Root Pakcage Including SuperSU and CWM Manager with CWM v5.5.0.4....now it goes into CWM...but still one noob question....have my previous stock android recovery and CWM Touch been automatically deleted/replaced?...or they still exist?? Thanks
Sounds like you were trying to install a cwm without being rooted.
Cwm replaces the stock android recovery. You could now try flashing the cwm touch through your current cwm. Make sure its a zip. If you come and ask for help You should really follow a guide on xda though. They are the best guides around.

When you flash a recovery you will delete the previous recovery in doing so, your stock and touch are both gone - replaced with v5.5.0.4.
You can now boot into CWM and install a better recovery, try Philz touch recovery for instance.
I just bought a rooted/bootloader unlocked/s-off HTC one from someone. I went to flash TWRP via goo manager and the touch screen does not work in TWRP. i installed CWM and that worked...until the rom i was flashing went to the aroma installer. Then the touch function in recovery stopped working again. Any ideas and help please?
Dear All,
I'm from India and I was on stock 4.1.2. Since I didn't want to root my phone, I installed cwm through odin and then installed philz touch recovery 6.00.8 and installed Neatrom lite v4.8. Everything was normal till today and I wanted to install the full version of neatrom(4.1.2), so I booted into recovery, but suddenly I'm getting into boot loop and not able to enter neither the recovery nor the phone. But I'm able to get into download mode... Please help!!!!! I didn't do anything except this.....:crying:
Dear All,
I reflashed cwm touch thru odin again and was able to get the phone working again!!! so, does the latest version of philz touch cwm is having any issues??? I'm not sure, if this is the right thread to be asked about this!!!!!
This is a commonly answered question. Please search before making a new thread. Glad that you fixed your phone. Make sure the rom you are trying to install is spefically for your phone. If there are any issues in philz touch you can find them at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2002953
