I tried to make my status bar transparent following this guide on XDA forum, but the result is my status bar is still black but the icons leave some trail behind it, now its a total mess. Did I do something wrong?

Hi,
Just installed CWM7 on my ST15i and I'm loving it, the only disappointment is the lack of customization when it comes to the status bar.
Does anybody know a way in which to manually change the colour of the status bar (pref. to white) and swap the notification pngs to contrast?
I know there's an app (statusbar+) which can "overlay" your old status bar with a new one, but it's sluggish and unresponsive at the best of times.

I'm using Slim Bean 8, and I have set my status bar at 100% transparency to be effective on both launcher and lockscreen. On the lockscreen, however, there's a shadow across the whole screen EXCEPT for the status bar - the shadow does not carry through to the status bar (please see my attachment), so the bar remains separate and is not seamless with the rest of the screen.
Has anyone come across this issue or know of a fix?
Thanks

You also need to provide your frameworks..
Gingerbread has been out for a LOOONG time. Have you search for guides and applied them?

You really don't need to link us with your System.UI,
You can modify the status bar with XBlast Tools with Xposed Framework (Assuming your rooted)
Here's the link for Xblast XDA thread...

Guys Im using S5 Exynos stock MM rom. Look at the status bar. It is file manager, a fullscreen app which need to pull down to see the status bar. Some roms such as aosps have transparent status bar instead of black background. I want to know which file to edit to make it some transparent. I mean ~%10-%30 opacity like aosps have. Please guide me guys, brothers thanks in advanced
How do I remove the 'Digital Balance' status bar icon? I would like to keep the notification when I pull down the status bar to view my screen on time, but I do not wish to see the persistent status bar icon. The notch on this phone is quite big, so i'm trying to eliminate unecessary icons. I have already searched up on countless guides, and tried many different methods to remove status bar icons and have succeeded, but I just can't seem to remove this particular status bar icon.

I have tried to replicate the same scenario but can't find way to hide status bar icon.
maybe an app like systemui tuner might do it
