[Q] make a part of internal memory apear as a sdcard - HTC EVO 3D

My sdcard slot is broken and because of that I can't have an sdcard in my phone. So apparently to take pictures with camera you need to have an sdcard in your phone. Is it possible to somehow emulate about 500mb of my phones internal memory to appear as an sdcard to be able to take pictures?

[Q] internal hard drive labeled sd in root

Going through root explorer I noticed I have sd card and sd card-ext. The internal hard drive is the sd card so when I tell the phone to store to sd it saves it on the phone and not the memory card, for example pictures. Can we correct this some how? Also, same with programs, move to media is still the internal hard drive. Do we have a list of apps safe to use app2d to force
to card?
These phones do not have a "hard drive". A custom ROM might be able to change that, but then what would you use that internal storage for? I have my pics setup to go to sd-ext currently.

[Q] |Q| ICS and internal storage being named SDCARD? Cant install app data to microsd

I just bought an LG L9 phone which for its price of $150 was pretty attractive for a dual core.
However, I noticed that when I downloaded apps that download extra data, they were not storing the data on my micro sd, but rather the internal storage, which only has 1.5gb available.
For some reason internal storage is named /SDCARD and the external storage is named SDCARD/ETERNAL_SD
I have no option to move any apps to the sd card from the app settings menu. I put my old microsd card in this phone and tried to restore settings saved from other apps, but it wouldnt recognize I had an settings saved since it apparently doesnt know about the new microsd card directory.
When I download a game that downloads extra files like Asphault for example, it doesnt store the extra data on the micro sd, it just puts it all on the internal storage. I cannot use my offline gps program because it says I dont have enough space to download the map files which normally would be downloaded right to the microsd
I called LG about this, and they claim its normal and all ICS phones have this file name structure.
Is this true? Starting with ICS, are all phones making micro sd cards practically useless aside fro m storing pictures and videos?

SD card question

I have bought a new tablet (Asus k019) and a new sd card because I can only use 4/8gb of internal storage, but I can't download any game/app bigger than 1.5 gb (I have 1gb left on the internal storage) because it says I don't have enough memory and any picture I recieve on whatsapp or any picture I take it's saved on the internal storage (called /sdcard/ in file manager and the card /MicroSD/ ,btw). On my old phone all my media it's automatically saved on the sd card, not on the internal storage. How can I make the sd card the default location for apps/media?

You will have to set it in each app. Also even if you move the app to the sdcard most of the data will still be on internal storage. This is due to the way android boots things up. The sdcard is not made to run games off of.

I dont think that app has the option. The main reason is mostly due to google removing the base code for SD cards. Each OEM adds them back in their own way so there is no universal way to code an app for it.
Check the settings. I dont use it nor does anyone that I know. We all moved away when FB bought it.

Why is the SD-card mounted to “/sdcard/external_sd” instead of “/sdcard” (or “/mnt/sd

I see that the sdcard is mounted at "/sdcard/external_sd", and every time i add something on sdcard, it appared automaticaly on "/sdcard/external_sd/", and is fully my internal memory. I can't use anymore my sdcard because he's "linked" inside my internal storage? Is there any solution to fix that?

Want pictures back

I have my pictures in sd card and in internal memory also but as my sd card is just 4 GB so memory gets full. Actually i am confused that whether my pictures is replaced with another pictures when memory was full or they got deleted accidentally.
My internal memory is showing full but there is not a single image or app on my internal storage. Please help me find my lost pictures.
I have tried photo recovery tool but it gives me my lost picture's thumbnail but not the full picture.
