Hi all,
Does anyone know a case like the Otterbox Communicator that fits the Note 3? I contacted Otterbox and was really bummed out when they told me they are not developing a case for the Note 3. I just love the Otterbox on my SGS2. Saved me tons of times. Soft rubber like all around and hard plastic on top of that, and a big lip to protect the screen.
I've seen the Spigen cases, but they use a hard PA that I don't think would absorb a fall very well. Also, these cases don't have a lip (or nearly no lip). I'm used to laying my phone face down but I'm scared that the screen protector (which I'll obviously use) will scrath very fast if I do this often.
A rubber-like case alone is not secure enough I think and I'm scared my phone will drop out of a rubber case.
i've seen UAG cases which look like they can take a beating too but they don't seem to sell one for the Note 3.

Actually. . Not sure who you spoke to. But otterbox is developing a case for this phone I went to the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 launch event for work and otterbox was there and told me that they are developing a case for this phone.
Keep in mind otterbox is a Colorado company based in Fort Collins and the launch event I went to was in Denver Colorado So I'd say it's 100% accurate.
Otterbox even hooked me up with their leather lazy boy seats at the Denver Broncos game. You can see their logo on the seat

According to the UAG website, it will be available after 4-6 weeks. They have pictures of the cases for the note 3 with different colors. Check their website bro

I just wish that they would at least say "coming soon" like seidio does..
I can also confirm that Otterbox is making both a commuter and defender series for the Note 3.

Sounds like a generic reply for customer service if they don't know the answer or can't say anything about it.
Do you guys play poker? It's good for business.
My question is, why wouldn't they? Did they make one for the Note? Note 2? How long after the release date of the phone did they release their cases?
I haven't talked to anyone. I just read XDA, probably too much. I'm convinced they'll have one ready to ship directly to you around November 10th, maybe as late as the 17th.
Can't wait to see if I'm right....

I was about to call them and yell at them for not emailing me when they became available, but then I realized that they were just pictures of some of the pre-orders.
I will probably be picking up two of these cases when they come out. I've had a Seidio case on my EVO for quite some time, and my wife has had one on hers since she got it (also an EVO)

The Seidio SURFACE has surved my Evo well... Looking forward to the next one. All the others seem to bulky to me.

So has anyone found a case that would possibly cover the camera to protect from scratches and possible cracks seeing how the evo the camera was the vulnerable part of the phone. with it being as large as it is that is one of my main concerns.

The Convert case converts the Surface into a rugged case by adding an optional outer layer and shell.
If you buy the Convert, it comes with a Surface. No need to purchase separately.
Yes but the active case is not as bulky overall as the convert case.

I just wanna know when we'll actually be able to buy these accessories. I've already ordered my Evo 3D and want to protect it as soon as I get it.
I've had Seidio cases and holsters with my G1 and my Vibrant. I almost don't even bother to look at anything else 'cause Seidio makes such great stuff.

I've heard the HTC case will be in the Sprint store on the 24th.
Best Buy may have the Seidio case then as well since they carry some of thier stuff.
Pre-orders are up on a lot of the Seidio cases now.
Looks like estimated shipping date of July 8th for cases and June 24th for screen protectors.

BB has the case, black only and will sell it for $35
well i got the otter box defender for my e3d and the lip on the screen makes it hard to type and the holster is a pain to remove the phone with one hand i'm thinking of just returning it and hoping they get the holster, or order the seidio surface
As soon as my cases get here, I'll post screens of the Active (Sapphire Blue) and Surface (Black with Kickstand).
Of course, it seems like I won't get them until around July 10th.
Man I really need something with holster at least until the Seidio comes out. I may have to just get the otterbox until then...

I've had the Active cases on my Epic and Evo... I figured I'd stay with the same case. Might rebuy once Seidio ones come out.

They have about 15 of them at the BB near me. Most of them are black, but they have some purple hard-plastic ones too.

Mine has blue surface cases $29.99 and black surface cases with holster $34.99...
The Cruiser was black only, no holster $34.99...
The Heavy Duty one was black with holster. $49.99

The only openings on the case are the screen/face, 2D/3D toggle switch, earphone jack and little mic opening.

i got the "rugged" version of this at best buy but returned it.. the fabric on the holster was messed up..
also, the case felt cheap.. i had the same case i got from them for the Evo and that one was good, loved it...
i have been a sedio fan for a while.. easy case to take off and put on.. i like to have the phone naked when i am phone. the otter box defender i got now sucks to take off!!! like the case but its a pain to take off.. not to mention the holster does fit the belt i use since its a wide riggers belt.
but i will be getting the sedio once its out and hope casualty is better than the best buy version.

I think these are nice cases, i even had one one my old evo but, if you drop it and it lands on the corner, those little claws will break. Unless they changed the plastic its made out of, that is the weak point of the case. I ended up with a ballistic on my last evo and that thing is a tank. I have the otterbox defender on my phone now. I always pic the most rugged case becase it keeps my phone in pristine condition which allows me to sell it and upgrade to the next phone for free.
yup , just as ugly (and probably as fragile) as the ones on the original evo....

Yup the corners do break easily.
I had the same issue with my evo.
I had 2 cases break on me - and my wife's broke on her too
All 3 were the tabs as mentioned above

Maybe some people can't handle the case. Contact Seidio, they are pretty good about it.
Maybe they don't create a quality product.
I've had a Surface and a couple Actives on my Evo. Had a Active on my Epic and never had a single issue. Maybe I baby my phones. I dunno. They've been more than great for me.

When did you buy your first active limited? How long did you use it? Maybe they fixed their quality issues...?
I know it wasn't only me having issues with the tabs - at the time I got on XDA/Amazon and everybody seemed to be experiencing the same thing. I started the return process and let them know that the tabs were an issue and I am sure others did as well.
I really hope they did fix this problem, because I loved the case other than that or I would have never bought a second one (I was hoping it was a fluke)
In the end I just went back to my official HTC case. I didn't like it near as much but I never had issues with it either.

I wonder if rooCASE is the OEM for these, or if this one just lifted the other's photo? (Sorry for the size of the pic. I don't know how to specify a reduction in the vB code.)
EDIT: In fact, judging from the pix and the comments, I would bet the cost of the case that rooCASE is the OEM. In that case (no pun intended), this is a great deal. I paid almost $30 for the rooCASE item and thought that was a good deal. The price on this one almost makes me want to grab one as a spare.

Did you order from VIP Deals? I ordered the $10 one from them (they're the same everything, but one is fulfilled by Amazon and costs $13, the other must just be a direct order for $10 which is the one I went for). I'll write a glowing review if I get that option.

No, this one doesn't fit the dock. I keep the tab in this and the dock in an $8 Case Logic netbook sleeve from Amazon. Works great.
Sadly enough they don't ship to The Netherlands, would love to have an case like that and it's cheap as hell.

Just got my case today. I have to say its just as high quality as the AYL case I just got last week. And strangely enough I got the exact same letter inside my packaging as with the AYL, basically stating that if you leave a review then they will refund your purchase. Got to say I'm pretty happy. Thats 2 cases for ZERO dollars all for writing what I was going to write anyway.
As for the case itself I am very satisfied. It is a bit thick but the stand mechanism works great. The case stands up with the use of velcro on the bottom of the screen that sticks to the front flap of the case. It holds very well and works great at any angle. The leather is real and very high quality, however the magnet closure could be a bit better. All in all a fantastic case whether you pay 50 dollars or 0 dollars for it.

He mentions this, you have to remove the case, and if you just unstrap it the case slides off, evidently. Maybe I'll do a little review when mine arrives, hopefully tomorrow.

I need to find a way to carry my phone around, especially at work. I work in a bus garage, my work is manual so I don't want the phone to be in any pocket as moving around can get annoying and I might hit my leg somewhere and damage the phone. But also in regular clothes, sometimes this phone is just to much for my jeans.
For me, finding the perfect way to carry this huge phone is the most challenging thing with it, but the size of this phone is my only negative point so I'll find a way around that.

So what are your opinons on these 3? Hows the china stuff with your experience? Should I be worried the belt clip break in half after 2days?
I've tried about 4 different china cases over the years....and 3/4 were garbage...the only decent one I had on my G2. The fit is usually too small/incorrect and i've cosmetically damaged phones in the past using them. Like the old saying goes "Ya get what you pay for." I'm by no means rich and like to save a buck when I can, but do you want to put your $600 baby in a $5-10 carriage?
1st one: I don't like that I don't see and rubber material in the case for shock absorption, just that little fuzzy "velvet" stuff. Bet it will scuff sides of phone too, had one similar before.... PASS
2nd one looks like the case for my leatherman. PASS
3rd one looks like a trident knockoff, but has the rubber/hard plastic combo that seems to work best. One thing I can't see is how big of a "lip' sticks out above screen. This is important for face-down falls. Without a good rubber lip like the Trident/otterbox cases, you WILL have damage.

I've had mixed results with China cases over the years. I was suprised by the one I got for my Note 2. It was cheap, durable, and did exactly what I wanted. With my original Note I went through 2 or 3 cases before I got a good one.

The one that i am using now was from my Note 2 and it's been a year and it's still just as good. It's fits perfectly even with a back case on my Note 2 and now a bumper case on my note 3. I'm using the brown colour.....you may want the black

I'm also very interested to know how well the belt clip holds as well as the build quality of the material use for the belt clip itself, something always overlooked in product description and reviews.

I have one coming in next week hopefully. If no one has done it, I'll post a quick review. I think people should hold if they can when buying this case from China. Let other experiment to see if it works correctly.

I ordered a knock off s-view for my S4 from alixpress and the s-view functions worked perfectly for me

Work in the tech industry and everyone who sees these cases wants it! I was very, very impressed with the quality for the price.

Pros: It feels amazing in the hand. I have had many so-called genuine leather cases for my Phones over the years, including the BookBook by twelve south which was my all time favorite. I would have ordered another from them except they only make cases for iphone . Boy am I glad they weren't.
It allowed me to find this phenomenal case which is superior to the BookBook in every way. This one is softer and more supple. It feels more like an artist sketchbook, the leather is that nice.
It does NOT have the unfortunate potential of the spine turning white with wear that the BookBook has. (The spine is all natural leather)
It has quality stitching and the interior hard rubber case that cradles the my galaxy S8 is a perfect blend of protection and flexibility.
The credit card slots are generous in size. It is not difficult to put in or remove the cards like on other cases. I currently have 3 cards in it and it closes okay.
Props up-
It is also a stand so I can watch movies on my phone , . It is already broken in- the leather is nice and soft- so it works perfectly.
Calling and use: The leather folds over nice and flat.

Just got my black one to match my black S8+! I haven't had a real leather case on any of my phones yet, but I was excited to give this one a try. Can't find a better price for an actual leather case.

Hi,they are nice to me, too.
i haven't met any problem yet,so i never have experience with their customer service.

Yes. I use the original Samsung wireless charger and it works just fine.

Sorry to disappoint -- I actually went with the Spigen Neo Hybrid due to the slimmer fit and price. I couldn't justify this case, especially since I was a bit anxious about the lack of a magnetic snap to close the case.

Spigen does make great products.
This maybe good practical case, but IMO this is one ugly case. I would never consider this for my S8.
