Buy the iphone lol. But seriously custom kernels can do this. Like boeffla kernel's built-in sound engine. It enhances the Woflson audio chip inside the S3.

Read the multiple sound threads and mods.
Use Viper4Android.

[Q] SGS2 Loudness level in general

Hi all,
I used to have a SGSI and with Voodoo I could stretch sound loudness over the earphones quite a bit with some well-known sound quality improvements.
My SGS2 loudness level with custome kernel is below SGSI's with Voodoo and I learnt Voodoo will not be implemented for the SGS2.
Would anyone have an opinion over which kernel does deliver the loudest sound output over headphones?
Alternatively, do we have any app that can do that?
Thanks all.

Thanks a ton JJ. I searched by 'loudness' not by 'sound'.
As I also have Poweramp I implemented the Volume+ & PowAmp solution.
Tremendously appreciated, regards.

Audio Control

Hey everyone, as you may know, I recently came over from the Captivate. It was a great phone but the SGS2 is obviously better. However, one thing I miss already is the voodoo sound analog gain adjustment since I can't seem to find good listening levels on the SGS2. At the lowest volume, music is too loud through my earbuds (when I'm in a quiet setting), but when I'm in my car, I need to boost it to the max using the gain boost in ExTweaks. I can't seem to find a happy medium that allows me to have both high and low volumes like I did on the Cappy. I am aware that the SGS2 doesn't have the audio hardware to utilize something like voodoo sound, so what apps do people generally prefer to manage this with? I would prefer something that doesn't make it inconvenient to change the volume.
Voodoo Louder work on ICS rom but not JB If you want a Boost.

Is there much of a difference between using Voodoo Louder and using the audio settings in ExTweaks?

No, the same exact setting is changed by both, but using louder is much more convenient because it is adjusted automatically. However, some kernels have another volume bar that only extweaks can change, but that's just certain kernels. And btw, it does work on jb, not sure what that one guy was talking about.
I've used both on the jb ROM I'm using and they work, but I don't find I need it with the ShoStock3 ROM.

Mods.

Ok,so i was searching through xda and i found these two mods for android phones.
Did anyone try them and if yes do they actually do something ?

I see that this one has been tested on our phone,i am on JB and the sound output from the speaker is really, really low. Will this increase it ?

Don't.
No offence to the owner of those mods, but build prop and init d tweaks are not universal.
You'll probably get a boot loop.
The real performance boost comes from codes optimization of Rom and kernel . Not some scripts

PureAudio™ Engine doesn't work at all, I tried it,sound quality actually degraded, haven't tried PurePerformances™X yet..
the thing about pure audio engine is that utilizes beats audio which is somehow i feel outdated or is faulty compared to the stock one we have....if you are a desire x user you are prone to bass oriented sound where as pure audio aims at clarity and balance of bass and treble two completly different stuff to be honest it works fab in my galaxy mini but desire x is a disaster ended up with boot loop and when it did manage to boot hell was the sound output...:silly::silly::silly: i would suggest you not flash it again no offense to OP of mod he has done a great job my mini sound fantabulous....

Speaker volume

So I just got my z2 and I am thoroughly impressed by this best of a phone...
I was just wondering if there is a mod to increase the sound of the front facing speakers without rooting?
Thnx

without rooting no but you can use the sound settings to increase the speaker volume, Xloud and all them by the way
you can also max out the equalizer but that wont make a huge difference
What's the best way to boost it if you have rooted but still running the stock firmware?
