[Q] Samsung Galaxy S3 (SPHL710 by Boost) Root Help, Please - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Model: SPHL710
Android: 4.1.2
Basband: L710VPAMG2
Hardware: L710.14
Recovery Mode: Android System Recovery <3e>
Odin Mode:
- Custom Binary Download: Yes (5 Counts)
- Current Binary: Custom
- System Status: Custom
- Qualcomm Secureboot: Enable
I've tried rooting this phone five times. Odin V.1.85 & 3.07 always states passed, the phone typically reboots with the red android guy and then restarts, but supersu/user never appears. I've tried downloading it from the play store, but it does not change access nor does it cause root checker to say phone is rooted. The methods in which I've tried to root the phone:
How To Root ANY Samsung Galaxy S3 4.1.2 & 4.1.1 from OfficialPhoneRebel on Youtube (Tried Twice)
Rooting the Samsung Galaxy S3 [NO BRAINER] How to root from iosanddroid411 (Tried Twice)
How To Root the Sprint Galaxy S3 (SPH-L710) from rwilcos site (Did not install Kies)
I don't have any spectacular comp skills, nor do I want to do anything shady with my rootware, just extend my storage space for apps, add a recycle bin and adblock. I have rooted my last phone, but of course with instructions. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

From what i've read you can download SUPERSU from google as long as you are rooted... Just install it from the Play store.. Hope that helps

[Q] Need help Rooting GT - S7500W

Galaxy Ace Plus GT - S7500W
Andriod: 2.3.6 Gingerbread
Baseband: S7500WXXLD5
Kernel: 2.6.38.6 [email protected]#1
Build: GINGERBREAD.XXLD5
I've tried to use ODIN + CWM 5 method for S7500, all I get is ODIN cannot flash recovery rom onto it. Phone sits there in download mode, downloading, but ODIN cannot find my phone, so after 20 minute or so i force restarted my phone and somehow its back to what it was. Retry and same happen
Tried S7500L version of root, not sure if its working or not, but got the same result as above pretty much.
A bit of a noob here since i am new to Andriod. Got this phone about 2 months ago, after my old phone fell off my desk and smashed into pieces (it was a rubbish blackberry)
Please let me know any other info you need, and thanks so much in advance
also when iam in download mode, the machine will indicate
[odin 3]
s7500
even i used a s7500 or s7500l rom to flash (step 1 flashing recovery.tar)
Maybe there is some thing wrong with the file you should root first before you Install CWM AND also Cwm 5 is old Get 6

[Q] China GT-I9300

Hi xda , i have this china-bought Galaxy S3 GT-I9300.
It started out with gps not working and i tried to flash a stock rom using odin (device was rooted) and it failed after countless flashings.
And then whenever I tried to boot the device again it was stuck at the ''Samsung GALAXY SIII GT-I9300'' screen. not sure if it was a bootloop but it was just hanged there. I have cwm recovery mode but i can't access download mode however i tried. And all of my computers cant seem to detect the device. so basically the thing i am able to access now is the cwm recovery mode. i tried various roms but to no avail.(they all hanged while installing system files)
Some specs about this device i know:
- Board : uniscope77_bu3_cu_ics2
- CPU : armeabi-v7a
some additional info : i once formatted everything on the device using cwm (internal storage , system , everything)
-I tried reset to factory settings countless times too but they were all stuck at the ''Samsung GALAXY SIII GT-I9300'' screen.
-Its original stock firmware was from china and yes , ive tried using china stock rom and all i get was blahblahblah and a ''(bad)'' thing.
if you need anything else like what other things i did to the device pls tell me. pls help me solve this problem thanks you ^_^

Where did you bought it?
China
your screwed the only thing you can do is download Chn_Chn Firmware from Samsungs website and flash it though odin. And that's the only fimrware that will work, unless you flash a custom bootloader through your sd card as then it will overwrite the encrypted boot.img allowing you flash any European Firmware.

[Q] [IMPORTANT] AT&T Galaxy S3 SGH-I747 Unable to Boot! Need Help!

(*Here's how the whole story started.) So I recently wanted to update my Galaxy S3, and for some reason the Baseband Version was different from other AT&T Galaxy S3 Devices. So, after I brought it in to Best-Buy they said they can't fix it, even though I contacted Samsung and they told me they could flash it with this ''SMART'' Tool (Which Probably is Odin3) Rooted or Not. I was tired of trying to fix this because, I was on 4.0.4 Ice-Cream Sandwich, and my friends bragging about the 4.4 KitKat Update they received. I literally tried everything, from clearing the Google Services and the AT&T Software Update on the Application Manager. I had the Baseband Version: I747UCLF5. I was tired of not getting the update, so I just flashed the Original ROM from Samsung-Updates, using Odin3. Samsung-Updates had only 4.1.1 Jelly-Bean, so I thought about just updating from Jelly-Bean.
(*Here's how the Samsung Galaxy S3 wouldn't turn on), and was stuck on a boot-loop.) So, continuing the story, I successfully updated to 4.1.1. Jelly-Bean. So, when I was on the 4.1.1 Jelly-Bean I checked for updates, and I successfully updated to 4.3 Jelly-Bean. Yes, I know that the 4.4 Kit-Kat update was out, so I continued updating the phone via OTA. When it finished, it started updating with AT&T Logo on top and the Percent with the Bar on the bottom. After it reached 100%, it was rebooting crazy. The Samsung logo went on and off and the phone went vibrating every second. I'm pretty sure my power button is not broken and when I put it in Recovery-Mode the same updating process came. (AT&T Logo, Loading Bar with Percent and a message saying ''Updating...''). Ever since that day, I re-charged it and I put it in Recovery-Mode, and same thing happens and when it finishes it's doing the boot-loop. I tried putting it in Download-Mode and tried to flash it with Odin3, but it didn't work at all. It had this error message. I'm pretty sure the Boot-Loop is caused by a Locked Boot-Loader. This is What it says in Download Mode.

Samsung Galaxy S8 SM-G950FD unroot problem

Hello,
I just purchased what was supposed to be a brand new Galaxy S8 in Hong Kong (I live in France) and once home found out it had been rooted. I am not sure if it is still rooted because I can't open Magisk Manager (the app says the version of Magisk on my phone is no longer supported by the app) and Root Checker says my device has no root access. Nonetheless, banking apps won't open, Samsung apps (Pass, Health...) either, and Netflix doesn't work.
I have gone through multiple threads to try and unroot my phone but flashing new firmware through Odin has failed and Smart Switch says my device is up to date (I have android 8.0 so it isn't).
My Knox has been tripped, my binary is 'Custom' and so is my Device status which leads me to believe my phone is still rooted.
There is no way for me to exchange my phone and Samsung have been unhelpful when it comes to providing a solution.
I would like to flash stock firmware on my phone but as I mentioned it consistently fails: either because of a PIT failure or a Bootloader Failure. My device model is said to be SM-G50FD but in Odin mode my phone says it is a SM-G950N which seems weird to me.
I am not experienced when it comes to rooting devices (and unrooting them) and am afraid of bricking my phone which is why I am asking for help here. If anyone could provide tips as to what I should do to get rid of the root I would be extremely grateful ! Thank you all.
flash samsung galaxy with odin done but unroot doest succesfully help me now what i do????
