[Q] Multiple simultaneous calls to same number? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Does anyone know of an app or method of instantiating a number of simultaneous calls to the same number, with all other calls being dropped as soon as one connects? Kind of the opposite of those spam calls that phone multiple numbers and drop the rest as soon as someone answers.

out going call private mode

hello all
i am curious to know if there is a way to make my phone number private for certain contact. is there an app that makes my outgoing calls private? other than adding *67 to each contact.
i have a work phone that forwards all the incoming calls to my personal phone. there are times that i have to a followup call and i use my personal phone number. i have change my number 3 times in the past 4 month. any suggestion will be appreciated. thank you.
*67 then number you want to dial for example *67-(555)-555-5555
Sent from my crifftevo that was smuggled through customs in a monkeys back fat.

Have you tried Google Voice? You can call clents from that number and control access on how and when it can notify(I love the call block feature) you.
I believe the phones also have an automatic prepend feature (normally adds the +1 for dialing) I think you can change it to whatever you want (e.g *67)
The only thing I know to do is either, add *67 each time or change their contact information to include it.
Alternatively you can have it added to your phone at the Sprint level. It unfortunately is not select-able and will make all calls private. The problem with that, I found, was MANY people won't answer blocked calls.

Pbxes / GV on ICS native Wifi

First of all I apologize if this already has been discussed on this forum. I have looked but couldn't find anyone discussing this issue.
I have a galaxy Nexus that is setup for pbxes/ google voice incoming / outgoing calls. When I receive a call it looks like this on screen
John [email protected]
but since this number is in my contacts list it appears as John +1 512-425-4277 on call log screen.
When I hit the number to call back nothing happens. But when I manually enter the number +1 512-425-4277 it dials fine. Seems like Pbxes can't dial back to the same number it sends with incoming call. What am i missing in the configuration so that wifi outbound calling works fine for a regular number but not for internet number. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
Did you every get this fixed?
No. I am now using cell phone minutes to receive and google voice/ pbxes to make calls.

Any way to place VOIP calls that appear to come from the cell #?

I'm wondering if there is any way to make voip calls that appear to come from your cell phone number rather than a VOIP service. Is such a thing possible?

SMS divert

Hi
Not sure if posted in correct section, apologises if its not.
Im wondering if the following problem can be solved.
I can not receive reception when at work so want to be able to divert text messages to another mobile number while there.
The sender must be able to just use my primary number and if im out of network coverage then the message automatically diverts to another number. This is so people dont need to know two numbers for me and i dont have to inform everyone everytime i go to work.
I know there are some apps on play store that do this but need coverage to divert the message so theres no point in it for my needs. Is it even possible to divert the message out of coverage? Is there a tasker solution?
Obviously phone calls can be diverted easily but can texts.
Any help is appreciated even if to clarify that its not possible when out of signal.
Thanks.
*Even divert to email would be a help*

Make and receive wifi calls without a number

I have a sick relative who wants to make and receive incoming calls in the hospital. I have an old nexus, and Galaxy 3. I was trying to figure out how to have it accept and make incoming calls over wifi. It has no number.
I tried google voice but it wants to forward calls to a number. He does not have a number.
I appreciate the help as always from this wonderful forum.
