Hello Everyone! I am new to these forums, and to tablets in general.
I have spent a few hours looking for a way to root my tablet, which I have buyed 3 weeks ago.
I want to root it because I have tried to install some apps that need rooted device.

I don't want custom Rom, or anything, only rooting, and a backup.
Could any of you experienced people help me out with a few advices?
By the way this is the one I have found first, and was thinking of trying it, but I can't open the link given to dowload the files needed

this thread belongs in android general hacking and modding.
I was trying the same and I screwed my PMP3270B tablet....
But there is a Czech forum that has an extensive discussion on this....
If you haven't screwed yours yet, please wait until I find a way to unscrew mine and then I try to help....
If you have screwed yours, then it means we are on the same boat.......
So we both try to get our thingies working first and then we see about rooting....

Was doing some Googling about this tablet and found this thread! For anyone in the same boat as me: I just successfully rooted my Prestigio PMP3270B by using a PC program called "Kingo Root". Haven't managed to find any custom recoveries or ROMs but the search goes on
Hi guys im a new member here and have been using the tips in here to root almost all the devices i have at home, but i bought a new tablet and i wited to know if root acces is available for it. I have search around the web and found nothing that can help. Also i wanted to know if it was possible to somehow extract this tablets kdz just in case. Im not a complete noob and i am able to follow ypur instructions preety well

I enabled SDE and succeeded in flashing kernel and initramfs.cpio.gz but cannot do anything further
maybe I'm doing something terribly wrong and I couldn't find the SuperUser app

unfortunately from what I've seen there are no custom roms at the time. I picked one up very cheap for my kids, all I've seen is it can be rooted.
Acer Da220hql media all in one ROOT
Could you tell what kind of cheap custom Rom did you get as i have got the same problem and I can not find nowhere any free custom Rom suitable for Acer DA220HQL?
Besides I have found the following link that describes rooting without pc and I am not quite sure about it.

Hi I have an Acer Iconia One 7 (B1-750) which is a new model. (I think only.) I need to find root for it. Also I'm just new to XDA.
The reason why I need root is because to explore all of hidden files. I need to find game folders because I want to replace game save files with hacked files.
But I think I already found rooting apps but I'm not sure with it.
I'm also afraid of bricking my device so I need advices from you guys.
Just ask me if you need more informations.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
