Google edition based ROM benchmark? - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S 4

I installed faux mainline kernel and quadrant is only like 11k. What's good settings or kernel for performance life and stable. I've always run stock or faux.
I know on any tw based ROM stock kernel you get 12-13k..
Btw. Running the eclipse 1.6 ge

If I remember right I read somewhere that aftermarket kernels dont boost the processor speed to max when benchmarking but the tw kernel does so that could be why your.score is reading lower then normal.
Hit thanks if I helped you out. Doing a little bit of reading goes a long way. Sent via tapatalk. now Free

[ASK] Best ROM n Kernel for OC

did anyone knows best rom and kernel combination for OC depends on performance and life battery??
thx
Infected eternity ROM with infected anthrax kernel is my favorite
Sent from my 3vo
I have been using eternity + infected as well. A reboot or two here and there but otherwise pretty much flawless. Battery life and performance at a great balance.

i tried that combo and it works good but noticed that my wi-fi wont scan?
I've tried just about all of them and I've found the ones with the "cutesy" names like "Osmosis", "Diphtheria", "AIDS", and so on are unreliable at best. I run CleanROM 2.9.5 with the bcblend kernel and I OC to 1.72Ghz. I get benchmark scores as good as the tricked out, tweaked ROM's and often faster... with better battery life.

I've been running Viper ROM, and have run with three current kernels. Currently running kernel integrated with ROM.

Fastest ROM and kernel combination?

Hello. Can I get some suggestions for the fastest ROM and kernel combination for the fascinate? I have looked all over Google but honestly couldn't find anything relatively new. I want something that can handle a decent overclock, is stable, and is very fast so I can play games with no lag. Any suggestions? I honestly would rather GB over ICS but if getting ICS is what it takes to get maximum speed, then I will go for it. But I would appreciate GB Rom and kernel combinations and ICS ROM and kernel combinations along with some pros and cons of each. That would be great. Thank you!

CM7 and 9 are pretty fast. I'd stay away from JB for now, as it is surprisingly slow. MIUI has good looks and speed but gets literally HALF the battery life CM9 does. The only kernel in town for CM7 is Glitch, witch is a good one. For ICS you have a choice between Devil Kernel and IcyGlitch. Devil has more features and is my preferred kernel, especially since IcyGlitch as the buggy TWRP recovery.
I like aokp m6 with the devil kernel. very fast and stable

Honestly, Helly Bean ROM version 20120807 isn't slow at all. It supports a 1.4GHz overclock and runs 4.1.1. Unlike other ROMs, HB uses /datadata partition to make things quick and smooth. However, no kernel uses /datadata, so the stock kernel has to be used. But i love it.

I have experienced better battery life on MIUI for my HD2 than CM7 or CM9.

Thank you. I think I will try the AOKP ROM. I'm using CM7 as of now with the Glitch kernel but the battery life isn't that great and it's as slow as turtle.

[Q] suggested/recommwnded ROM, kernel, modem combo

What is the best ROM, kernel, and modem from experience to use for a longer lasting battery?
Currently using CM9 Nightly with the kernel and modem that were included.

+1 for this setup, it's what I'm current using with great results... although my goal was never really battery life. Set the screen off to 200Mhz and you'll save a ton of battery, although I have mine at 400Mhz for better wake up response. Also, AOKP has power saving settings like turning off the data after the screen has been off for a certain amount of time, etc
Mine would be
Ths15 with devil 1.0.2b
And if you want greatest stability I mean greatest then
Geewiz 2.8.1 ROM and kernel, its gb

Cant find JB oc kernel

Only kernel I found was hotcakes kernel. But some how my quadrant score is still same as stock(3300 with 1.8ghz).
Tried whole wipe but still same. Im running cm10 20120101.
Any other oc and uv kernel for jelly bean? So far I have been looking for over 3 hours(reflashing and searching).
I quite fancy "kko" or "king kangers" . You will find it in the original development section.
All jb ROMs recieve fairly low scores in quadrant benchmark. Its not a real word test anyways and showed not be considered as a true measure of performance. The user can and should determine this for themselves.

i like the pac-man kernel. never had any issues running it and it is built with linaro. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1986919 go down to downloads section and there is a seperate download for kernel

Hotcakes 3.0 kernel. Thoughts?

I am flashing it atm and was wondering if any of you people tried with cm10 ROMs. P.S. sorry if this is in the wrong section.

i think flappjaxx (sorry if misspelled) is the best JB action you can get at the moment. Ive tried just about every rom/ kernel out there. His latest is just awesome. 2 days and 19 hours I have been running his rom and kernel. I have it overclocked to 1.83 and used his gpu overclock tool . The thing just flies!! Awesome battery life and not a single reboot yet. I have no reason to switch to anything else at the moment.

Correct...
FJ has great skills, and is always generous beyond his means...
Donate much, donate often, to "all" of our generous developers.
And while I have called out FJ here, I in no way want to give the impression that I don't appreciate all of the great work here, from developers, to every day users...
Thank you !!....g
I have to agree... not a single random reboot since I loaded his 3.0 kernel and the 1/7 nightly.... I think his latest CM comitts and tweaks have fixed the CM bug that's been a PITA for everyone!
Great work FJ and welcome back to XDA!

Why have cm10 night lies stopped at 1-07-13?
Not seeing "any" issues here at all...
Verify your download again, and full wipe/flash again if needed.....the kernel is as stable as any kernel I've used to date....g

This kernel is "ROCK" solid, and does not feel anything like a stock device. It finally feels like it should ....fast and smooth ...g

Used on Jamie's pa ROM and nightlies and I love this kernel rarely get reboots now and has the real butter feel. I don't even need to oc, using 01/14 nightly and xposed app for per app dpi. If u r still having issues do a clean install and wipe internal storage. Be sure to back up or internal 1st please

Running 1/14/2013 and I get the same issue. The older 2.3.5 kernel has no trouble.
Also, while the kernels bench great and feel smooth, I've noticed audio pops with the headphone jack that don't show up with the stock CM10. Probably just some sort of IO priority issue somewhere but unfortunately a problem for me.

I got several random reboots and freezes per day on every combination of JB ROM and kernel.....except the 3.0 redux kernel. been running fro several days now with no reboots or freezes.
Ditto on the 3.0 redux.......2 days solid now on CM latest nightly....
It's perfect...g
This may sound dumb, but where exactly do I OC the GPU? I'm still using SetCPU and I heard it doesn't work that well on JB. What do you guys use for profiles, undervolting, etc?
