Flash Stock and disable wifi/ data. Leave away from phone around 3-4 hours and check is it heated? If not cooled its problem with hardware.

Is it draining the battery fast too?
In what conditions it heats up, stanby or use, what kind of use if in use?
What is the ambiant temprature?

I would rather think it's software.
Install Wekelock Detector and CPU Spy Plus Free from PlayStore
Reset CPU Spy timers and let it standby for an hour or two, post screen capture for both and battery stats.
Does this happen with clean firmware if you flash it with PCC or SUS, no qpps installed?

What is the ROM or firmware the phone is on? Is the phone rooted, which baseband, and which xrecovery version if you have it? Info like that will help more people help you solve that problem.

Tell me how you are using flashtool, like, which folder are you putting generic firmware.
It should be in the firmware folder.
If you have it in the right folder. What are the error messages saying in flashtool?
Do you know how to put the phone in flash mode for flashtool?
Which version of flashtool do you have?

could the reboots and apps crashing caused by battery?
I myself have same issue, regards battery i read somewhere a guy had a reboot, crash problem, he bought a 2500mA bat and claimed no more issues? So i think if battery over a two year age then maybe time for new, maybe somewhere these bats cnt handle the sudden power requirements required any longer, i have 4 bats, each oldr than 3 years at least. Anyone knw a place in za that one cd purchase a stronger amperage bat? I cd imagine a hardware issue, bt then why do so many work perfectly but some kp dn this? I have rd many complaints regards this phone. If it still is crashing i wdnt exactly call it anywhere near fixed? Bt im sitting with this prob, and im baffled, bt i still think a stronger batry wd be the 1st solution.

Last night I set my Neo to charging and turn it off. This morning when I woke up i look at my neo and press menu button and see that battery is full then i remove usb and go to turn it onn but Neo don't want to start. i try to remove battery and insert it back, but nothing. I was using 2.3.4 4.0.1 with doomlord kernel.
Then I flash it again on 4.0.1A with Wotan client but nothing.
After that i was trying to connect it again on wotan 1000 times and not work.. when i finally connect it succesfully to wotan my Neo do a little vibration so I try it to turn on and it was WORKING!!
All was working but i was need to restart it to insert SIM card, after turning off same problems... they dont want to turn on, no vibrations, nothing...
Im trying to update with PC companion but dont want to go... I press back button and connect to usb and not working, just few times in 1000times of trying it want to start...
whats wrong with my Neo?? :S
Moved to the correct section. Good luck with your Neo!
OK thanks.
UPDATE:
when i go to Pc companion update there i need to try around 20 times to connect and then pc companion detect it, after detecting, 2 times to now i was able to turn it on, now is working and correctly charging, but what when i will need to turn it off???
whats wrong?
Are you still rooted?
If you're on stock and not rooted or bootloader unlocked, my best guess is that it would be a hardware problem.
it was rooted , but now it's not. I've unlocked bootloader long time ago when 2.3.4. published but then all works ok, what could be the problem?

If you relock your bootloader, i think they won't notice. Also: from what I've read, mostly they won't make a point of it, except if you ruined your CPU by overclocking to 2 GHz or something like that.
So all I can to do is to relock bootloader and send it to Service..
I was using Overclock to 1,9MHz and my device was working perfect without restarting, so I think, I can say that my processor properly.
I thought it reset to factory settings, or install some restart app and see what would be after.. Secondly, I thought that ON/OFF key is not working but it works normal for locking screen..

Hello everyone,
I finally managed to make rooted kernel for Xperia Go (ST27i).
I just want to mention, that I have unlocked bootloader and I didn't try is this kernel working with locked bootloader.
Requirements:
stock Sony 6.0.B.3.162 FW
unlocked bootloader
working fastboot
How to Flash:
download the rooted_kernel_ST27i.elf (sendspace.com/file/74xilq)
save it in the folder with fastboot binaries (fastboot.exe files)
power down device
start device in fastboot mode (hold volume up and plug cable)
and use the following commands to flash the kernel:
fastboot flash boot rooted_kernel_ST27i.elf
fastboot reboot
After restart, download and install busybox from market, and update superuser...
Update:
Rooted kernel .184 (without recovery )
It's work for me
Flash last firmware 6.0.B.3.184 using Flashtool
Download attach, and flash the kernel:
fastboot flash boot rooted_kernel_184_ST27i.elf
fastboot reboot
Click to collapse
I can't do this without:
DooMLoRD - I used his files from rooted kernel for Xperia P
Championswimmer - for tips and tool (ANDROID KERNEL KITCHEN 0.2.2)
Bin4ry - for tips
So, thanks to them
big thanks man. i will try it. little question: when will be rooted kernel for 6.0.B.3.184 too?
request fastboot.exe link
Great job driversax, many thanks. Too bad I updated to 184 yesterday. I'll either have to wait for a corresponding kernel or I'll have to find out how to downgrade again.

But I will check when I get back from vacation (4 days) and also I will try to make new rooted kernel for firmware 184 and maybe recovery

I confirm that you can install it over 184. Two caveats however:
- User data is wiped (I was under the assumption that a kernel flash keeps user data - is this generally not the case or only in this instance?)
- In About phone, the reported build stays at 184, but the phone offers to update over the air to 184 again, and after downloading, installing and rebooting, it complains that installation was unsuccessful. You cannot even remove the notification, it stays permanently in the status bar. I finally got rid of them by disabling the updater – thanks Driversax, finally I have root powers – and rebooting.
Battery life has been normal (or even better than previously) for me (using it less than 24 hours though).
---------- Post added at 06:09 AM ---------- Previous post was at 06:02 AM ----------
Oh, and one more thing:
Droidwall doesn't work (iptables doesn't seem to be implemented on the Go - apparently not the oply Sony phone with this problem, although Xperia S is reported to have it). This was the prime reason for me to root the phone, so it's quite a bummer. But at least Titanium Backup works, and I can get rid of the bloatware (although, to Sony's credit, there are no overly intrusive or battery-draining apps).

Did the phone booted? If yes, then you have stock kernel. If your bootloader is locked, the use sony program to repair your phone. Ckick on update, it will probably tell you that it already has latest firmware. Click on repair and follow instructions... I dont think kernel override in this case is possible as flashtool flash the whole firmware.
One recomendation, always read the op for instructions and if its for locked or unlocked. But after this, you probably will
EDIT: if you are not sure, try to use flashtool once again. Do do same procedure as before.
ADVICE:if you want to use better kernel and roms, unlock your bootloader. Waiting till warranty end, your wife will not be happy anyway. This opens you a lot of possibilities and most important thing, her phone will fly for a long time. Im using stock rom and sliding kernel, awesome combination.

Thanks For the answer. Yes the phone boots but i see only the sony logo you always see. But not even the xperia logo That follows next.
Also the phone is unlocked with the sony unlock code and rooted with the patch from bin4ry.
But after a long evening trying to get the mod running, and after status 7 error after error i tought maybe its the clockworkmod. And i read the site 3 times but It appears i missed the part "for locked bootloaders only"
So yeah i won't make That mistake Again indeed
But i flashed several times the stock rom back but it stays on the sony logo and sadly that's it

Open flashtool, click on that flash, select fastboot mode.
Now press and keep VOLUME UP and connect to the computer.
In flashtool press "Select Kernel to Flash".
A window will appear, choose the .54 you just downloaded and hit ok.
It takes about 2 seconds to flash the kernel, so no worries. Look into the main flashtool window, you'll see if the action wasd successfull.
Then disconnect and try to start, if nothing, then try to flash the stock firmware again.
Sweet thanks going to try This when in back at home. It looks very similar to wat iv'e done already. But iv'e used kernel B.599 or it was B.559.

[ROOT][Including .54 and .75 update] Rooting Xperia P via Flashtool[only for ICS]
Sorry for confusion.
So for P...
Go to that thread. There are 3 kernels
Download them and try to flash in fastboot. Instructions in earlier post.
Or just simply try fix with pc companion. It use flashmode anyway (volume down and plug...)

My phone is running pretty much flawless after the N update. I suggest repairing your device with Sony Companion or check what apps are running in the background.
