I was looking to give aokp another shot since I haven't used it in a while and was wondering if there were nightlies for the s4 floating around anywhere. It seems on the official aokp page there are only a few builds.
Thanks

That's the link for the current official builds for the S4. You night have to search the last couple of pages for the "unofficial" nightlies.

Question:
If the stable Google Edition rom and stable 10.1 Cm were both flashable right now but also very similar in performance, which one would you flash and why?
Consider that both roms also have ir working.

Cm for me. Its been awhile since I was on a stock android rom(gnex) but all the cm tweaks is what I prefer.. I don't think stock android is as customizable

Yea I've always thought that was the main difference as well

Themes on cm as well as the tweaks would put cm way ahead for me assuming full functionality on both

Well I see all of the rootbox threads have been discontinued for jfltevzw. I figure I'd throw out there that the official builds have been released on there official website. I tried the stable release and everything is very stable and runs very smooth with good battery life. But data didn't work. I moved on to nightly 7/3 and data is flawless. I figured I'd share. I'm running with chronic kernel and an very satisfied.
Everything is working from what I can Tell. even GPS.
I am not a dev and take no credit for these releases. Just wanted to share with the community. I am impressed.
Builds can be found

Runs good for me too, only thing is that when I change the battery to a different icon like gauge it doesnt always stick. Goes to normal battery icon then back and forth on its own. Any idea what the problem might be?
Im having that an issue idk what's with that. Not sure where there might be a support thread.

Today's 7/7 nightly is out. Will try it later to see if it fixed the battery icon not sticking.

I'm having the same issue. LTE does not work. Have to turn LTE off to get 3g...Hopefully this gets resolved soon...otherwise the rom is great!
Is there an official maintainer for this device? I love this ROM, running the 7/03 build, everything after that has data borked

Spotted this, haven't flashed it yet, probably will in the morning.

Like it says in the link. Take it with a grain of salt....but if true then that's lame... Unless it just goes straight to 4.3 then that would be nice.
Rumor: Samsung may skip Android 4.2.2 on Galaxy Note II, Galaxy S III for Android 4.3 | SamMobile: http://www.sammobile.com/2013/07/16...y-s-iii-for-android-4-3/#.UeUuwKoYWY0.twitter

I wouldn't have any problems if they skip 4.2.x in favor of 4.3.x at all.
Nope not a problem at all. I'm pretty sure the Note 2 will get at least one more good update and that's probably all it will see. But if it doesn't get 4.2, does that mean there won't even be any builds to work off of?
Sent from my SCH-I605 using xda app-developers app
We will get at minimum one big update. 4.1.2 wasn't that big. We will get a solid ota. Just be patient. I'm in no rush. Our current software is very solid. Tw is perfect and aosp is improving every day. We're in very good shape.
Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk 2
What do we miss in 4.2.2 that won't be in 4.3?
I hope they skip the 4.2.2 update in favor of KLP.
4.2. 2 has tiles and some minor enhancements nothing noticeable really imo

I read some where a while back that samsung themselfs said that the note 2 will get up to 5.0

Biggest thing I miss from 4.2.2 (aosp builds anyway) are the lockscreen widgets that work seamlessly with pin/pattern lock security.

Is this from your experience with 4.2.2 on a Nexus device or from one of the AOSP builds for our phone (CM, AOKP, etc)?

Interesting, I've never had that happen to me on my Nexus 10. Does it matter what widget updates?
Maybe it was with the play store. To be honest I haven't noticed it in a while on my n7.

Either way, the Note 2 will receive an update...I'm just really wanting to see 4.2 and TW running together. I like the look of the s4. I had an s4 theme not to long ago and it looked nice.....probably the main thing I'm wanting is all the options in the camera settings like the s4. Like drama shot and so forth....I heard that was all hardware stuff (or maybe it was software) tho and none of that could be ported over....I don't know for sure
