This is a build ported from a vibrant setup, some tweaks that dfgas incorporated into the last few builds, some extra tweaks from here and there, and extended settings built in. It is very smooth and fast after letting it settle in for a bit.
Let me know how it is for you. You can wipe data or just cache and dalvik...I do all 3...enjoy.
Thanks to anyone that has a hand in developing for the fascinate / mesmerize...the list would be too long to write!
-as of 1.12.9...
-#911 issue fixed (thanks sbrissen, dfgas, & anyone else involved)
-modified default transparent lockscreen...live wallpapers show through lockscreen
-new 1.12.9 Fascinate link...
http://db.tt/enasc1vs
-new 1.12.9 Mesmerize link...
http://db.tt/LHY0AeKk
-as of 1.11.25...
-includes Glitch V13 kernel with working 3 button recovery (with updated screenstate scaling fix)
-new option of miui app drawer
-pick setup, then enable, wait a couple seconds for drawer to load up, then swipe down from top of screen slightly lower than status bar to pull down drawer (almost right at bottom edge of status bar)...takes a little getting used to swipe area as it is very small.
-new options of hiding signal bars and headset icons
-new option of appdrawer background color
-new "on the fly" statusbar layout switching (no need to refresh statusbar anymore)
-new options of autostarting appdrawer
-charging animation it top bar fixed
Here is a link to the v6 supercharger thread...http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=18703418&postcount=5021
I would suggest installing the latest supercharger script...http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=792186&d=1322022964 and the app script manager...http://market.android.com/details?id=os.tools.scriptmanager
Download both, change the supercharger scripts name from .pdf to .txt, install script manager, go into script managers options and turn on browse as root, then navigate to the directory you downloaded the supercharger script to within the app, click on it, select run as root, then run. Follow the scripts prompts, and as a suggestion, I use option 7. This makes the phone fly even faster at all times even with many apps open. I would have incorporated this into the rom, but the developer would rather you visit the thread to get it.
Downloading now. Thanks!
First impressions:
(Background: Wiped all three from "mounts and storage" menu)
Appears to be based off of MIUI Android (UK port of MIUI) as opposed to MIUI.US. Not sure what diffferences (if any) apply other than the bootani and background. Amiright?
Extended settings built-in is quite awesome.
Noticed MiuiCompass wasn't in there (but DSP Manager was...awesome again). Attached in case you don't have the apk and want to add it in the future.
MMS sent over 3G on first try.
I am not sure which market you bundled with it, but I always go in and remove marketUpdater and add back in the old vending.apk. (This isn't a criticism, just something I do that might be good to know in case I have future issues that may be caused by that mod...I know I am probably rare in liking the old market.)
So far so good. Now I just need to grow a pair and figure out how to swap kernels in the zipfile so I can throw Glitch v13RC1 in there; at which point I'll truly have my "Flash one-and-done".
Great work, Rick S. Can't wait for the full list of changes/tweaks! Thanks again.
Will this work on the Telus version?

Compass.apk should be in there, but thanks anyway. Basically if porting from a "stock" setup, roms wont differ very much at all, but another difference is that the reboot options are capitalized. I would love to have glitch v13 in there, but its not publically released yet. I do install it on mine though. All you need is the boot.img and the lib/modules folder...modules need to match boot.img that was built.

Ive honestly never looked into the differences between the two carriers. Im guessing no because there are probably some rom differences along with the kernel differences.

Looks great Rick!
Thanks for sharing and spending time doing this.
I am going to give this a try now, I am coming from 1.11.4, and I have yet to try the extended settings yet, so this will be great to check it out at the same time.

I wasn't suggesting you put V13 in there. I was just commenting on my own lack of courage to do it myself more than anything. Thanks for the tip though.
Been installing apps and such basically nonstop since install and listening to music on it. No issues. I did update to Glitch v12RC1 right off the bat as well.
So far, this seems to be about as stable as the 9-16 release which has been my fall-back. I've had the fewest issues with that one. Hopefully this one will be my new 9-16. (Will find out when I get home and see how it handles the wifi/3g handoff that seems to have been causing the most problems on the latest few roms for me)

Thank you for the reply. I know there are differences the big one is one cdma and the other is gsm. I did not see the vibrant mention the first time in the OP. if anyone knows of a compatible miui for the Telus version pm me please I would love to try it
Looks great Rick...thanks again. I had issues with the other '11' roms so far and was back on the 10.28. And also big.thanks for the easy instructions for installing super charger....I couldn't get then to stick a month ago....no problems this time ( used your suggestion....will tweak later after I settle in) only issue is google+ fc at start up. I don't use it so not a huge deal.....will uninstall and install new......phone is flying.
Edit: Re-install of Google+ did the trick. Can't believe how fast and smooth this phone is running now.
Thanks for the responses. Im going to update some MIUI mods and put links in the op soon...launcher mod and screen transitions are some.

Sorry about that...my gmail seems to work fine though. I used JT's 3 button recovery fix kernel because its probably the most used throughout various roms. It doesnt have bln. You can flash any kernel you like though and it will work fine as long as the kernels allows for it.

GSM and CDMA roms/kernels aren't cross compatible. The phones share a name, that's it, they're pretty different when you get down to the nuts and bolts (or silicon and copper.)

"Hmmm. I just had huge success flashing jt's 3ButtonFix.zip kernel over the 1.11.4, making big improvements in battery and GPS. But this is an upgrade, using the same kernel, even though my current ROM is working fine. Hmmm..." thinks the flash junkie as he tries to pretend he might not go ahead and flash this anyway.
Edit: Of course I flashed it, with the script. Running great. Overnight, battery stays in high 90s.
All I can say is wow!! This is by far the most responsive miui build I've ever used, running the script on setting seven as suggested running glitch v13 ml OC`d to 1440..very smooth, plus have all the reboot options again nicely done, thanks much sir!

In the past the miui builds I've run while being in my opinion nicer to use have always seemed more sluggish than Vanilla or cm7, not now..

I actually ported the MIUIScotland 1.11.9 ICS framework I9000 rom to the fascinate. It seems the only difference are a couple added files within the framework and a few files elsewhere, along with the version number in the build prop. Its not even worth playing with though. There are no noticeable differences anywhere. Waist of time just in case anyone was wondering or has heard of it.

This app allows you to control your CPU voltages with an easy to use interface. You can increase or decrease voltages (undervolt or overvolt) for all frequencies or fine tune voltages for each individual frequency.
! HTC DEVICES !
! ROOT is Required !
! Kernel that supports HAVS or SVS voltage adjustment REQUIRED !
In addition, if you are an Incredikernel user, the app may also be used to toggle Incredikernel specific features on and off, namely USB fast charging and audio boost.
Get it over at http://www.incredikernel.com
IncrediControl is now also available in the market:
IncrediControl (If you have a dual core CPU do not use the market version until v1.5 final is released)
IncrediControl - Ad Free
Additionally, all donators are eligible to receive the Ad Free version. It doesn't matter how much or how little you donate or have donated. If you don't want to purchase the app from the market, you may donate using the button on this page. Please register on the site first and include your username in the comments box.
All previous donators, please register on the site if you have not done so and contact me with your username!
NOTE: It is a requirement of the HAVS adjustment that the kernel you are using has the HAVS sysfs interface implemented. If it does not, it will not work.
NOTE2: Before using, please delete any boot scripts you may have in /etc/init.d that toggle any of the settings this app controls.
Get it at http://www.incredikernel.com
Restore script - use this if you went too low and find yourself in a boot loop. Flash through recovery:

It might be a permissions thing. I tested on my own internal build. I'll look into it.
New beta posted that fixes compatibility with ziggy's kernels.
Thanks
Thanks for releasing app so fast Chad.
I enjoyed your work on my Incredible and I look forward to your work on the Rezound.
The app makes my life easier, and I've been tweaking it down bit by bit to see how much I can get this phone to sip.
Do you have any plans to do kernels? I'm using Ziggy's which seems to be running fine now (although i had a reboot earlier, but who knows why that happened).
I ran just your kernels religiously on my Incredible and enjoyed the performance and stability.
Regardly, thanks again for all the work you do bro.
Works great!
I would recommend for the Rezound screen size to make the buttons a tad wider. They are rather tiny on this screen and sometimes when i click the voltage adjustment button I click on the value input and go into keyboard entry mode. I have rather smaller hands so i would imaging its more annoying for bigger people.
other than that, great job.
Awesome app. I didn't know you had incorporated cpu controls into it

I get random reboots on Ziggy's no matter what governor and clock speed.
It wipes dalvik cache when it happens too.
If i do a set cpu stress test, and let it sit there, eventually the freeze/reboot happens.
Something about how it's written.

I get it random reboots too, I tried many ROMs out and i still get them. The conclusion I get from it is that we have bad chips.
Ziggy mentioned it had something to do with the cache getting corrupted. Im wondering if regularly clearing it would prevent bootloops from happening

Hey guys I just got revamped and back into the android game with the evo 4g LTE and needless to say I am very pleased with it. The only problem I've run into was that my battery is dropping at quite a high speed(about 15-17% an hour for moderate use.) I am on stock 4.0.3 at the moment. I am fine with stock, and if at all possible I'd like to stay on 4.0.3. But if anyone could redirect me to a rom or kernel or even good settings to arrange to get my battery up to the braggable amount that everyone has been talking about.

I personally like viper because of all the different settings, if you use viper flash "fapple" for the link chooser stuff apple patent

u must got use the phone much with battery life like that!! there's no way your using the phone normal and have 1 day 7 hours and still have more then half the battery life left...
Running stock Jelly Bean on mine, turned off GPS and turned on Power Saver and got about 36 hours of battery life.
I have had good battery life with Viper4G (both with the stock kernel and the Beastmode kernel).
I recently tried Frozen Jelly Belly and am getting really good battery life (over five hours of screen time with charge left over). They use the AwesomeSauce kernel.

Better Battery Life..
This involves under clocking and disabling one core but it will give you 8+ hours with pretty much any JB stockish ROM..
If you are a business user than this is for you. If you are a gamer than not so much..
Obviously you need to be running a rom that is rooted.
You will need the following apps
- Kernel Tuner
- CPU Spy
KERNEL TUNER
1. Install Kernal tuner and CPU Spy.
2. Start up Kernel Tuner
3. Goto CPU Tweaks
4. Set CPU 0 to 384min and 1026max
5. Set CPU 0 Governor to ondemand
6. Set CPU 1 Governor to userspace
7. Press back button
8. Press CPU1 on/off to disable CPU1 (CPU1 should say offline now)
9. Press settings (little rench)
10. Under Boot Settings change Restore Settings After Reboot to init.d script
11. Press back button to exit program
12. Restart Phone
CPU SPY (used for confimation)
1. Go into CPU Spy
2. Press Menu
3. Select Reset Timers
4. Exit program by pressing back
5. GO back into CPU Spy and you will see that percentages between the min (384) and the max (1026)
I am running MeanBean 1.9 getting an average of 12~15 hours of average usage. Your results may vary..
The the min max settings should give you smooth UI and usable business battery life. If your UI is sluggish try Nova Launcher
My 2 cents..

Another vote for MeanROM ICS (I'm running MeanBean now, but I'd stick with ICS until Jellybean Kernel source drops). Also, be aware that asking this question is highly unlikely to get you applicable information, as almost no one will have tried the majority of ROMs out there, and your tower/signal situation may be different from someone else...

Hello all,
As the title states, I'm completely new to Android. I've been with the iPhone for quite some time and have recently changed over to the HTC One. Everything is awesome so far, but there are a few annoying quirks I'd like to change to make it perfect. I've done a bit of research, but I guess my searching terms were a bit too specific? I'm looking for a custom ROM that is based on Sense 5 with 4.2.2 and WiFi calling so I can have the option to keep Blinkfeed, Zoe, TV apps and the ability to delete some of the preinstalled programs like Facebook and Twitter. In addition, I'd like to have the option to give the HTC logo wake device functionality. I believe this is done through installing the tbalden kernel? I'm looking at the Trickdroid ROM, as it seems that might be the closest thing to what I'm looking for, but in a video review I watched of it it seemed there was only a wake from volume rocker option. Also, it seems Wifi calling is unavailable at the moment? In any case, if there is something out there that you guys can suggest I'd greatly appreciate it! Thanks!!

I can at least verify a lack of WiFi calling on all 4.2.2 ROMs. We will have to wait for the official T-Mobile ROM to drop or leak to get that functionality.
Sent from my HTC One using xda premium
So once the 4.2.2 update comes out for T-Mobile HTC One's, we'll be able to have wifi calling capability with any 4.2.2 ROM ie. Trickdroid? Also, just a quick side question, I'm looking at the Trickdroid page and it says there is an option for the tbalden kernel, which is where the htclogo2wake functionality lies. Does this mean while installing Trickdroid, I'll have the option to install that instead of the stock kernel and have the options to map my HTC logo? Thanks!

Trickdroid is great! I've been using it for quite some time and no issues. I use my cell as my work phone so reliability is big for me - and no problems... I haven't played too much with any of the kernels for the one but you will need to flash it separately. Welcome to Android!

That's good to hear! And thanks for the welcome! I see on the Trickdroid page that the tbalden kernel is an option. Does that mean it's already built into the ROM and that I'll have the option to remap the HTC logo or is there something I have to do along the lines of choosing it during the ROM install? Thanks!

If I remember correctly, Trickdroid uses Aroma installer, which takes you through an install wizard (prone to freezing so don't worry if it freezes, just reboot and retry) and let's you select a bunch of different options, not sure if Kernel selection is included in that or not.
Thanks for the info. I just wanna get all the info I can before attempting my first custom ROM install. That kernel is pretty much the biggest thing I'm looking for, this power button at the top thing is getting a bit annoying.. lol Also, I have an unrelated question that I'm hoping maybe someone here could answer. I couldn't find anything through searching the forums. Are the sound profiles on our phones customizable? Every time I change profiles, I have to change the settings manually. For example, I want the vibrate profile to quiet all sound and just vibrate for everything. However, when I go back to normal and switch back to vibrate, the sound for notifications and alarms are back on. Doesn't this defeat the purpose of profiles??
No 4.2.2 based rom supports wifi calling so far. If you want a customized rom, try viper. You will addict to it.

So if I installed a 4.2.2 ROM now, would wifi calling be enabled when T-Mobile releases its official update automatically? Or will I have reinstall the ROM?

no. you will have to wait for the update for the rom your on for wifi calling. as far as roms go viper has the most customization by far and arhd is the closest to stock but i recommend viper as you can keep it stock looking or if you want to customize to your hearts content and i mean everything is customizable. and venom hub has the kernels that enable logo2wake and many other options available. happy flashing bro:highfive:
Ok, Thanks! I'll definitely take a look at Viper then. Also, are you saying that it has the tbalden kernel already built into it? As in I don't have to do anything separate in order to use logo2wake?

no. in the venom hub which is an app for viper rom it has all the compatible kernels and when you select it. it will download it and boot to recovery and flash it(twrp only cwm manual flash only)
cool, I'll definitely look into viper. So you're saying that it's based off of the sense UI and looks stock until you start customizing? Because that is exactly what I'm looking for. I want to have pretty much everything stock with the exception of the battery icon in the status bar, logo2wake and some other little things here and there. Also, is there an option to wake the screen when you get a text or notification without having to use a third party app? Seems like such a no-brainer for this to be a part of the phone stock, but for some reason is not.

My favorite Rom is the Google Edition Rom.
I wanted some AOSP but every rom i tried had terrible battery life (like 1% dropping every 3 minutes) with just using web browser. I tried ARHD GE, CyanogenMod, AHRD Sense version, faux kernel, aux kernel and elemental kernel and everything was kind of the same. Now im using Sense based Insertcoin ROM and i must say that battery life is way better and got rid of most of bloatware
This is a little kang I did for myself and after seeing the good response in my 4.4.2_R1 aosp thread I decided to post this for everyone to try out.
It's not a hugely modified rom, its largely aosp with enough tweaks and addons to make it "just right" for me.
When I run this rom, I don't use xposed/gravitybox and turn on art. Its smooth smooth smooth.
First and foremost, big thanks to something15525 as its his rom, I just added device specific stuff and compiled for geeb.
Full features list can be found here: https://github.com/SomethingExplosive/android_vendor_SoMeX/blob/somex-4.4/FEATURES.mkdn
Quick highlights:
This rom has Superuser baked in so no need to flash SuperSU.
AOSP gesture enabled keyboard
VoicePlus - Google Voice integration into any SMS app
CM Torch built in
Busybox - helpful tools for terminal manipulation
Extended Power Menu - Reboot, Recovery, and Bootloader access from the power menu
Customized QuickSettings Toggles (WiFi and Bluetooth) - no more long press to toggle
Clear Recents Button - One button to clear everything in the recent apps display
Modded/Added by me:
Apollo
DSPManager
Removed pinyinn and openwnn

Down loaded and installed. Smooth, fast, and stable. I understand, that being first release, it misses some of the customization. Thanks for your work.
What is different between the included kernel and the Faux kernel?
Sweet.
So for clarity, you don't use xposed/gravity box but you do turn on art, or you also don't turn on art?

When I use the pure aosp build, I run xposed/gravitybox which in turn means I can't turn art on.
I'm running this rom now for the last few days without xposed/gravitybox and turn on art instead.
Art makes the phone even more responsive.

The faux kernel is more in line with faux's mako kernel release but with dual led green/red for canadian phones.
The included one is houstonns adreno kernel with added code for canadian phones with dual green/red led control.

The goal of this rom from the developers standpoint is to have minimal customization.
Think of it as aosp++
Just a few tweaks/addons without going insane and losing the stability and speed of aosp.

Appreciate your hard work. I was talking about simple customization such as bettery icon, time placement, quick setting tile rearrangement, etc. I wish you can add these customization.
Any trick to increase audio volume level ( I mean at max it is bit low)?
Cheers and merry Christmas.

Well, I think that this is not the ROM's goal. SoMeX is very close to aosp. If you want all that, you need either:
Another rom (cm)
Xposed and gravity box.
Cheers.

Sorry been busy with Christmas, this rom is aosp based, it looks like kitkat so screenshots don't really add much.
Any special recovery needed to flash this? Thinking about busting the OG out and flashing this.

Flashed this last night on my og, and I'm liking it a lot , all though since it is not my Dailey phone I do not have a Sim card in it to check for connection errors.
Can I request a mod please, a zip to enable soft keys and disable the hardware keys?

Sorry I'm not really into doing mods for my roms, but if someone wants to come up with a zip to do these things for you it would be welcomed in this thread!
Only reason I asked was, I tried the build prop edit adding "qemu.HW.mainkey=0" and went to the generic keypad and tried disabling the hardware keys and it didn't work.
Here is to hoping some one can write up a quick zip to do this.

I was on this ROM for a few days and had no issues at all! Very well done!
I switched to Slimkat for the extra features though, and I miss the colors this ROM has! What was edited...was it the gamma, the contrast, the levels? Is there a file I can edit to get the same overall color feel that this ROM has? What values are set for this ROM so I can match it on any other ROM I happen to try?

Something Explosive, every time I read that, I think Explosive? Something? Explosive Diarrhea.
But very cool to see someone make their own custom rom. So very cool!
