So i got a link from a friend to root any Android phone running ICS (4.0 and up) cause i just felt like rooting but the link he gave me was outdated or the files were not right. I tried looking on here and other places for how to Un-Brick my phone and still couldn't find anything. Another friend of mine says its soft bricked, when i turn on the phone its blinks the Samsung logo and goes to the Samsung Galaxy S Blaze: Exclusive to T-Mobile Loading bar screen and gets stuck at the end. It doesn't do anything else after that. I've tried One-Click Un-Brick and Odin to see if it would work but it still doesn't. If anyone knows how to fix my problem please tell me.

Hi Folks,
I plugged my device into Zune as per usual, was told there was an update ready so set the process in motion. The update b0rked half-way through, citing a connection error and left my device unusable.
I then had a read and downloaded one of the default ROM's from the dev thread and flashed it through the bootloader and the device fired back up and worked! Stupidly, I then allowed it to try and update again and the process repeated.
Now I can't seem to flash anything. I can get into the bootloader and start the process but it gets to a certain number (which depends on the ROM I'm trying to flash) then I get the 'Flash write error happened - please check your PDAphone' - or words to that effect.
I then have to pull the battery to even get the thing to fire up or do anything.
This has got me confused and enraged.
Has anyone got any words of wisdom to share?
Cheers
maybe goldcard?
but i think it's time to visit service centre
Thanks for the reply, mate.
The frustrating thing is that the flash worked originally, and I just can't understand why it won't work again in identical circumstances.
I need a Y cable for the gold card solution, right?

Just as quickly as it started behaving like a f***er it's now sorted itself out.
I tried running a flash when I got in this afternoon and it worked fine! The poxy thing is now running as you'd expect.
I'm a bit wary of updating though, after the last two efforts. Any suggestions on how to avoid the dreaded 'interrupted connection' error?
Tried the update from a different PC with a different (HTC branded) USB lead and the same thing happened as before.
Now I'm stuck again, not getting past 10% with the reflash.
****e.

I finally managed to flash the default operator ROM, after 15-20 attempts. The device is now working and it's going back to the service centre for updating!
My galaxy note won't stop restarting itself
I tried rooting the phone, unfortunately I used the wrong ROM file and ended up flashing it with the root ROM for the i717 AT&T model. The phone is actually the SHV-E160L model and I tried downloading the E160ROM.
The phone keeps showing the samsung logo, vibrates, and restarts.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Put it back into download mode and flash proper stock rom through odin. That should fix bootloop

It seems to have worked
Thank you so much, the start screen now has a pink logo instead of the normal samsung splash screen but I don't care
Edit:
My happiness was a bit premature, although the phone now starts up and most things work, the home and return keys do not respond though they light up and attempting to call someone crashes the android core
That is what happed this morning:
Woke up, whatsapp for a bit, suddenly, reboot itself, stuck in siya logo.
waited for 30mins, no luck, hard turn off (long press power button)..
after that, no more reboot, no download mode, no CWM, try the three button trick no luck, remove battery and three button trick no luck......
Here is what I have done with my phone before, It runs perfectly for like months:
Resurrection Remix Rom 2.2
Siyah Kernal (latest S2 version)
BLN
Overclock (200-1300) but stable with siyah
Apex launcher...
I sincerely beg for all genius developers to give me a hand...........
Try a download jig and see if that makes it respond.

my phone is out of warranty plus flashed count.......
plus still looking for a shop that do jtag in sydney...
...
Call wireless provider tell them a crazy story about an accident you had and your phone is crushed and bloody and if they provide upgrade then ask for an early upgrade due to no warranty that is what I did for my $3

If there is jo Jtag shop in Syndey, you can send it overseas for Jtag repair. But I suppose it costs a lot of money.
Alternatively, you can send it to Samsung, play stupid (phone didnt turn on this morning) and keep your fingers crossed.
Wish you luck mate.

Could anyone shed some light on all these bricked phones that were bricked out of the blue - without users fault? I mean, there are so many threads about bricking phones while doing nothing - the phone was just normally used, or even with the screen off, and it just turned off by itself/rebooted itself/froze and there was no way to recover it... Similar thing happened to me month ago - I was on a safe stock 4.0.3 ROM with safe kernel (mmc_cap_erase disabled), I have just started a game that I play regularly, the screen froze, I have waited for some time, then tried to do a hard reboot, got stuck at booot logo, and that was it. Recovery was erased - no way to enter it, download mode was still alive but it was stuck while trying to flash anything - there was an error while trying to write rom, kernel etc. I had to sent it to repair centre...
Thos was just an example, one of many. So, the question is - is this bad Samsung hardware in action, or software bugs that are causing hardware malfunctions or something else? I mean, I had few HTC Android phones before, and I have never saw anything like SGS2 Q&A forum - every second thread is about bricked phone...
Any thoughts?
I think people jump in with both feet without doing much research.I don't blame them,as I just flashed RR3 and I didn't fancy reading 62,000 posts.
Plus its a very popular phone,so maybe its only a tiny %age that are faulty.

Ok, so heres the deal. The s2 is my sisters phone, and she comes home and told me the phone wont turn on, that its stuck on the boot screen and it just keeps turning off and doing it again. So I started looking into it (Im an iPhone user, so I'm not too familiar with android devices. BUT I do know a bit about computers, cell phones and just technology in general). I ended up finding out that its stuck in a soft brick. So I started youtubing how to fix it. Found a great method using Odin3 and Samsung Kies. AND IT WORKED. I turned the phone back on, got past the lock screen and everything was all good.
After about 30 seconds, THE PHONE BRICKED AGAIN:crying:. And it went right back into the boot loop, I cant get it into download mode because it just keeps restarting after a couple of seconds. With that happening, I cant get the computer to recognize it so I can do a recovery fix with Samsung Kies. I legit cannot find any solution to it.
The thing that baffles me and is causing me a huge headache is the fact that THE PHONE IS NOT ROOTED. nothing has been done to it, its completely stock. So if there is no solution to it, can somebody at least tell me what might have been able to cause this?
Thanks to all,
Dariel
Well, you're in the wrong forum for the SGH-T989. That's probably your issue.
Hi there,
i've searched the net for help and didn't find anything similar.
my girlfriend and I both using galaxy S3 9300 4.1.2 bought in June.
In the last few week both of us suddenly saw that the phone turns off while it idle.
In most of the cases the solution was turn it back on, but sometimes it didn't help and we had to take the battery off and back on.
today I noticed for the first time that the phone doesn't really off- since the notification led still flashes.
I'm using apex launcher she use TW.
any idea anyone?
I will be grateful,
Thanks
Or
edit:
both phone are stock rom
mine with the UK Rom
Her with the Indian Rom
both 4.1.2 virsion.
I am having the same problems since last week. Sometimes it also freezes in applications. The GUI thread is then still running because I can see animations from loading dialogs and the wifi indicator also blinks. When this freeze occurs, the device won't react on button presses (except very long press on power button to reboot). Also the device is not going into standby mode (screen off) after 30 seconds.
Maybe this is a side effect of the last update? I am running build version JZO54K.I9300XXELLA (Dutch intl version).
Edit: when it's stuck also the battery is drained very fast.
you might be right and maybe there is a connection between last update and all that bugs suddenly appears.
I update through odin to the newest firmware:
I9300XXEMB1 I9300OXAEMB1 I9300XXMB1 BTU
anyone have a clue?
Data wipe would be first start point really
I would start from that, but how come that it started on both phone at same time- doesnt it means its a software related?

No idea to be honest, are they both stock phones? Rooted? Could even be something inane like a recent app update that isn't working properly, could be almost anything

both unrooted, both running stock rom.
anyway if so, i guess you wont recommend to back all my app, right?
I would back then up, system data is most likely the cause, so my advice would be just restore app data only where necessary and important

You flashed an international i9300 Rom on to your AT&T 9300, they are different phones, and you are in the wrong forum
