The Jellybomb 1.0.0 is a system pull and is not flashable at this point. How did you get it installed and are you confirming TreveMod WiFi Tether works on it?

I tried WiFi Tether with JB and could not get it to function. I am try the app that is WifFi Tether Router app mentioned in another thread of this post.

try this link I cant confirm any of these apps working because im still waiting for my note 3 to arrive but I think its worth a try.

Installed the tether router app and configured as suggested... tested with another android phone... it connected but did not transfer any data..... Guess I'll wait for wifi tether to get updated...
Update: App did work when tethering my laptop... Not sure why it didn't work with another phone. I will try with iPad and Nexus 7... Will update.
Update: Nexus 7 and iPad failed to pick up ssid... damn...

I was looking for ad hoc wireless support in lg p500 as i am using win xp and it only supports ad hoc sharing mode........

no bro not working for me i am using android 2.3.3 stock and win xp home edition sp3 and creating ad-hoc via connectify 3.3.0.23104 pro
only it is connecting but no data transferring...............

I was able to connect to an open ad-hoc network using wifi ad-hoc enabler in Oxygen ROM. I did a backup jst bfore installing the enabler and restarted. Everything was FC ing. But, I installed wifi enabler and it was working. As almost every app is FC ing, I installed CM 7.2 RC1 and tried wifi enabler. It was not working in CM for me .It shows the network but unable to connect

Bro we are usin gb stock rom not any unofficial rom but than also it must work try some another rom maybe the rom is not compitable with the edited wpa_suplicant

ROM compatibility might be the issue...

Sammy-based ROM's are fully capable of Wifi Direct. CM9 should be too, however I've not tested it yet.

The technology is either missing or crippled in most custom ROMS.
And yes, the app's ability to be able to WIFI Direct as an option too.
Many have it, Astro, ES File manager etc, but if the hardware registers aren't there, the app would surely fail?

indeed stock ROMS have the capability. But in re-romming the custom (stock) roms, many have broken it.
i take it you want to be able to have it in all roms? If this is the case the Chefs have to implement it into there Roms for full functionality

Yeah... Confirmed wanam2.0 with repacked kernel not working. Cannot send but can receive.

Wifi direct is 100% working.
I usually uninstall via TiBu these items... maybe one of them affects the wifi direct?

Here's what I did,
reflashed the ROM, on stockmod kernel and tried wifi direct (WD) - OK
removed all the aforementioned apps except Samsung Accounts(recommended by Eiraku) and tried WD - OK
flashed Siyah1.4, removed Samsung Accounts and tried WD - OK
now... I really don't know why it previously was not working.. probably something went wrong with the previous flash of either the rom or the kernel
any fix for that ?

IIRC, WiFi Direct is included in Milestone 6 of KangXperiaProject, but I'm not sure if it works correctly.

Can someone confirm its working. in miui 2.5, i connected my lww to an htc one v. it connected via wifi direct but there was no option to send the files....does it need some kind of app to send the files?
me 2 need to know how to use wifi direct i found it also in cyanogentimescape rom

Seemed to work flawlessly without unlock but now i cant get either my usb wireless adaptor on my winxp Small form factor tower work computer.
Even on my Ipod Touch it wont detect WifiTreve.
i followed the setup instructions.
when i turn wifi tether on in the JBS Build 6 setting my ipod will detect it but my pc wont... pc is detecting other wifi but mine...

Very strange...are you using the latest version? Should be 3.2-beta2-modv5***Synergized***
Also, those two options are actually checkboxes on the main setting screen, not second level menus you choose from.
I don't see those options anywhere in my settings. I'm not sure if its the latest but one I've tried is 3_3-pre2. The other one has a date in its name of 11-22-2012 so maybe that's not the latest. Also after deleting the download and downloading again I now get a message "there is a problem parsing the package". Any idea what that means? Incompatible download with my OS version ? I'm on 4.1.1

That is the same date as the version I have, so that's not it. I'm on 4.1.1 as well so you are ok there. I can only suggest uninstalling, rebooting and then try redownloading it again. File size should be 526.01K.
Somewhat off topic. I've read here clean rom works well with wifi tethering solutions. I see in the development section clean rom (4.1.2). I would need the older version to work on my note 2? I wanted to go ahead and download to my sd that and also beans v14 to see how they work but I may not be currently compatible with either.

It shouldn't matter, but I have mine on the ext SD card (downloaded to my PC and sideloaded).

Bevsure to update twrp using goo manager from playstore, put beans on external so you dont lose it doing a full wipe, wipe clean everything except external sd. Then install beans 14

Finally got wifi tether working on my Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 2 running Jelly Bean Rom Build 16!
1. Download and Install WifiTether-TrevE_Mod_11_22_2012_driverReload2 (defaults to Wifi Driver Reload 2) Sorry don't have enough posts to post a link but it is easily found in this forum
2. Open Wifi tether app and click settings key.
3. Change Device Profile: Samsung Galaxy 3
4. Change Setup Method: Netd-Ndc (master)
5. Send Netd Max Client Cmd: check this box.
6, Enable Wifi-Encription: check this box.
7. Change Passphrase: put your password here (minimum 8 characters)
8. Change SSID: androidtether ( all lower case letters)
9. Change Chanel: Chanel 01 (2412 Mhz)
10. Wifi Driver Reload: check this box!!!!!!!! ( Orginally in all the other post I followed everyone said check the Wifi Driver Reload 2 box). I suggest if you have problems seeing your hotspot that you switch between the two to see which one works. Don't check both boxes at the same time!
11. Routing Fix: check this box.
12. Disable Wake-Lock: check this box.
That's what worked for me. Hope it does for you too!

Did u change the SSD to androidtether (all lowercase).
Did u check wifi driver reload or switch between that and wifi driver reload 2.

I was on stock ics rom hotspot and tor were worked fine now i am on xgamer v2.0 and both apps work but can not connect to internet
