Ok, so i've see a lot of great threads on cases and some really good reviews too and now my OCD is starting to kick in.
Which case is the best? I'm looking for something durable, light, and thin. Preferably TPU or some sort of soft and flexible material NOT silicone.
Pretty much i'm looking for the same case as what i had on my captivate, the mirage by bodyglove.
I've got a few different cases that i'm trying to decide between but i'm having a problem making the final decision.
I'm asking YOU, fellow SGS2-ers, to help me decide. Place your vote and leave a note (hey that rhymes!) and i will be sure to post a detailed review of the case if one hasn't been made already (or contribute to one that already exists)!
Thanks!
Here are the cases i am considering, in no particular order..

I know a couple of these cases do not meet my own requirements but i have included them for the sake of others who might be considering the same.
And off we go!
Great roundup you've got there. I have the TPU-Case and love it, but hard to say it's the best without trying the others.
I would certainty recommend it though!
I've got the case mate barely there bushed aluminum and I really like it. I didn't think I would but I'm so. It's nice and thin and covers the phone well. It adds a little weight but to me it actually makes the phone feel better.

mine already broke by the volume rocker and the aluminum dents REALLY easily, its a very nice case though
I have this Incipio case:
http://www.myincipio.com/Samsung-Ga...-II-ATandT-NGP-Semi-Rigid-Soft-Shell-Case.asp
It is very nice quality, and fits perfectly. It does however have an small cutout for the international version's lanyard. It is really small though, so not too big of a problem. Some of the ones I have seen have the whole corner cutout for the international version (Ringke cases had this problem, which is why I did not choose that one). That seems like a huge problem to me, since if you drop it, the entire corner is exposed.
Hope this helps
I also have the Incipio and while it fits great (I did modify it to make a hole for the NC Mic), I'm not liking the extra effort required to turn the phone on or off. That action is already difficult enough with no case, but it's made even more difficult with the NGP.
Thanks for bringing to light this Incipio case. I just bought it. It looks like they fixed the problem with covered NC microphone. Now the cutout for it looks huge to fit AT&T and International version. Maybe they improved power button as well.

Thanks for linking that case, i haven't seen that one yet. I'll take a closer look at it and see if i can find a detailed review.
A quick google search led me to this good video review of the Incipio NGP (a TPU case). Looks to be a little dated though, the model they show on the Incipio webpage has a larger cutout for the NC mic and a color they didn't mention in the video. Still worth a look though.

I have a rearth case and am loving it, doesn't add much thickness or weight at all, u get 15 colors to choose from, doesn't collect dust, and has the hole for the 2nd mic. Overall very happy with this case.

I would like to see something come out in carbon fiber, like the Element Ion or Formula, but Element only does iPhone cases.

In all my searching i have yet to find a true carbon fiber case. I've seen plenty of cases with a carbon fiber "design" but they are just regular TPU or skins.
Take a look at these if you just want that industrial look..

I was heavily considering the Rearth Ringke but i read about some people having trouble with the case splitting apart on them due to small drops (see the Ringke thread here) and i decided to go with the SGP Ultra Capsule instead. I might also pick up the TPU-Case from Amazon just for the sake of having something to compare the SGP against.
I get super slow shipping so i'll put some pictures up in a week or so.
So I purchased the Reiko hybrid/kickstand case off of Amazon (you can also get on eBay... they run $8-15). I chose the white because I have a white note, but it comes in several other very attractive colors as well (including multi-colored versions like red and black).
Overall, I am very pleased and impressed with the quality, especially for the price. Highly recommended. Here's my video review:
Awesome video. I ordered one for my Note, but the Amazon reseller sent me a case for the SII instead. It seems like a nice case so I've ordered another one from eBay.
Thanks for the review!
You're welcome, glad I could help! Several other users on this forum have posted how pleased they are with this product as well so I'm sure you'll be satisfied with your purchase

Doesn't the rubber coating make it hard to take out of your pocket?
Thanks for the vid review! Looks interesting, although it seems to add quite a bit of thickness. Does it still fit in your front pocket pretty well or it is pretty bulky with the case on?
Yeh i have the same one, different color. I had the same one for the S II
Kickstand is a lil tricky to pop out
but protection wise, it has hi raised edges to protect again concrete or pavement slides
the rubber feel provides excellent grip
it does make the Note a tad bit thicker but i can manage it
cheap price too (got from amazon)
Is that all white tough to keep clean? especially the rubber portion
I've been looking around online for really low profile cases and noticed that the case mate barely there and the Incipio Feather light are almost the same case (both 6oz, minimal protection, etc.) I want to order one but I'm wondering which one (if either) protects the corners of the device. From the pictures it seems that the top and bottom are not covered. I was just wondering from people who have had experience with these cases, which protects the corners better? And do either of them have a lip over the screen? If you have both then comparison pictures would be very appreciated. Thanks in advance

I'm in the same boat as you - I'd like to see a comparison between these two (or a review of either, really).
Best I can tell from their websites/descriptions, neither really covers the top/bottom or corners. From the images, it looks like the Feather kind of tapers flush with the phone at the edges a little better (a little more sleek). The Barely There has holes for a wrist strap/tether/charm thing, if you're looking for that.
The Feather has a few more colors available (black, pink, blue, and grey), but I was able to find the Barely There in three colors (black, white, and pink).
I don't see a whole lot of difference, although you can get the Feather for a bit cheaper from Incipio's website for the remainder of the month with a coupon code (SUM2012 - gives you 20% off, I believe).
I had been fond of the Incipio Feather cases since my Blackberry days... I had bad luck with case mate barely there cases breaking on me. Then I found the Amzer Shellster case and holster combo and I will never go back. more durable and a better feel.
I just got the Incipio feather case in the mail today...I had the diztronic before that. Probably post a review/some pics tomorrow. I really like the feather, brings out the beautiful design of the evo and looks much better than the diztronic. Can't say about the case mate

i've had the spigen snap case, and loved it. design and looks just fit perfectly with the phone. only problem was it not sturdy. i think i had it for a week before taking it off to install a new sd card and the case broke. hopefully the feather or the barely there are stronger in quality. these snap cases are awesome though.
nope, never could put this little protection on my evo, I take my LTEVO through too much **** lol
i was looking for a white case like this and bought this, type "White Rubberized Hard Snap-On Case Cover FOR HTC EVO 4G LTE Sprint Accessory" in ebay (sorry cant post links). The case sticks out more than the phone on the bottom but doesnt protect the front corners. The case does not cover the top nor does it stick out more and does not protect the corners. The case sticks out very slightly along the sides of the phone giving it a reallllly slight lip. Does not provide lip for the camera, so the camera stick outs verry little. Its matte white so its a bit slippery.
Black barely there case arrived today. Its great. Slim profile, premium feel. Definitely gets my recommendation.

Can anyone give me some insight on feather/snap on cases. Do they scratch or smudge the chrome/paint on the side or outer edges of the phone from simple every day use. I ordered an incipio feather case for my Samsung galaxy note 3 and I am kinda worried that it will mess up the edges of the phone by having it on.
I'd like to see a thread for budget cases. I need a tough case, but I want this to be open to all types.
I am currently using a Caseology TPU case. It is not tough enough for what I need, but for someone who needs mild protection it is great. It's super slim and seems to be high quality. It barely adds any thickness to the phone.
Qualifications for the budget cases thread......
1. Must be $17.99 or less.
That's about it. I am a case collector just like many others here, but I tend to stay in the $15 range. I'd love to have the slim armor view or a zerolemon or even a Love-mei but I just don't have the money. Let's see your budget solutions.

Edited to broaden the spectrum of available cases.
Hey, I just wanted to say Merry Christmas to ya and I thought I'd help ya out and give your "Budget Cases List" a little "jump-start" by making a small starter list here for ya. These are all decent little cases for the money and none of them willshould break the bank(Let's HOPE!! lol). Each of these prices listed below are clickable URL links that direct you to their respective Amazon.com listings and are also listed in order from least expensive ----> most expensive(JUST of what's on THIS list, obviously lol). So far, for this small list I've made here, the least expensive one here will only run you $4.99 for the case + $2.97 to ship it, and the prices for these cases that I've listed vary up to the most expensive one here, still listed on Amazon.com at only $13.99 for the case + FREE Shipping if you subscribe to Amazon Prime. If, for some reason, you decide to change your mind and alter your terms for this "Budget Cases List" by increasing your price-ceiling, you could barellllyy up your ceiling by just a couple of bucks to try to keep everything at under......say.... $17.00, for example. If you did this, you could really broaden your spectrum by a good margin and be able to include more "well-known" and "proven" cases such as the Spigen Slim Armor ("Infinity White" - $16.99 + FREE Shipping with Amazon Prime). Now I'm reallllyy not trying to take anything at all away from these cases here by saying that you can include "proven" cases if you raise your price-ceiling. I'm just referencing the well-known fact that the Spigen Slim Armor Case IS one of the MORE "well-known" and "proven" cases here on XDA-Developers.com for the Galaxy Note 3. :good: That's just a thought for ya....
[White] Mercury Goospery (Many different colors | Price ranges from $4.99 - $7.99):
$4.99
Bear Motion (TM) Premium Slim Back Cover Case:
$5.99
Poetic Invictus Hybrid:
$6.95
[Black] Mercury Goospery:
$7.99
Diztronic Matte Black:
$9.99
Spigen Slim (Non-Slip Matte Black):
$9.99
Spigen Bounce:
$10.99
SUPCASE "Unicorn Beetle Premium Hybrid Case":
$13.99
--Anyone and everyone, PLEASE feel free to contribute your "finds" and add to this list too!!
:good::good:
Wow! Awesome list. Thanks for the contribution.
I'm fine with raising the limit to $17.99. I've seen the slim armor and it's nice, but I just don't feel right getting it without the view part.

I can vouch for the Spigen slim have a Slim Armor View on waiting and picked up thus and the Bear motion flip case. The spigen I'm using right now, it's a very stiff, good gripping, minimal case that looks pretty good, think I pad 10 bucks for it. The bear motion is a nice flip case. I can hold cards or cash in it. Has a built in stand and just nice look to it over all. You already saw the spigen slim here's the link to bear motion.
Bear Motion Flip Case
Got all my SPIGEN CASES and both phones so check them out HERE
I really like the gold in the clear hybrid case. Really shows off the gleam while having minimal bulk.
Unfortunately the back is turning out to be a fingerprint magnet so I may swap this out.
Great info. Thank you.

I got the NeoHybrid in the same Satin as you did & the Spigen Thin Fit in black. I normally prefer a little more protection then this thin fit has, but the phone feels so good with it on & its just enough to hid what would be the finger prints on the back I am having a hard time switching back to the NeoHybrid which was definitely a perfect case as well.
Which case would have the best grip?
http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Galax..._UL160_SR115,160_&refRID=0J4H8KJ144ECA5ZF6AXC
looks like the thin fit, but the buttons are covered, have had the same case on my last few phones, they just work for me. ( i do have others laying on the counter, lol)
thanks for the video !!
Thanks for the video, already went for the clear case and gold S7, arriving tomorrow. Looks like I made the right decision, looks great imo.

Nice! Thanks for that!
I ordered the black with carbon fibre and just received it today. I don't get the phone until tomorrow.
I am using Spigen ultra thin transparent and think it fits great. It does pick up dust, though.
Spigen Tough Armor works very well on my S7.
