I can't get out recovery mode every time i power my phone or plug into a computer my phone shows a a picture of a Phone and a Computer at the middle is a Yield sign... I tried going to Kies for emergency recovery but my device didn't pop-up. I tried calling Samsung and Sprint didn't do much. I tried holding up volume and power button at the same time didn't do nothing... Please help!

This should be in the q&a section. For info you need to hold down vol up, home button and power.

(Q) I know this is a dumb question but how do I boot into my bootloader?

hold down volume + power when the phone is totally shut down
There are a couple ways:
1) Uncheck fastboot in menu>settings>power. Then turn phone off. Hold vol down and power up.
2.) Restart the phone. Once the LEDs go out when phone shuts down, hold vol down.

Take battery out
Hold the Vol Down Button
Plug the phone in
Put the battery back in (while still holding the volume down button the hole time)
This should help fix it

Can you get into recovery by holding Vol Down and hitting power and then pressing Vol Up to cycle to "Recovery"?
negative. phone will not respond at all. when not plugged into the wall outlet, it will not even turn on the display

Have you taken out the battery for a bit and then put it back it to see if that works or tried a different Atrix battery?

i was able to force boot into fastboot by powering up and vol up but not recovery. the battery was died even after a whole day of plugging into the wall charger. while trying to follow some recoveries while in fastboot, i hit the wall with error 0x180004
Two things to consider
If you're able to get into fastboot, are you not able to press "Vol Down" again to cycle the different boot modes and to get into RSD?
And, if you can still get into fastboot, what recoveries have you tried? There's at least 3 different ones available.
i am only able to get to fastboot via power button and vol up. power button and vol down will just flash the screen then goes blank.

What he mean is after you press vol up + power button and the phone display unlocked with fastboot menu, cycle with vol down to see the other menu.

Volume up and power button goes straight to fastboot. Volume down and power button goes to fastboot as 1st option, and from there you can use volume down to cycle through options and volume up to select.
fixed the problem by fastboot-w then force fastboot via power button + vol up and RSD lite 4.5.141

[Q] Power on S3 without power button?

I was wondering if there was a trick to power the S3 on without using the power button. It feels a little fragile and I want to be able to take precautions in case anything happens in the future.
On my old N1 I could plug in the charger, take the battery out, put it back in, and the phone would boot. However, this doesn't seem to work on the S3. Does anyone know if any method, app or mod which could enable this?
For a second there dude try and enjoy ur device..Don't bother about the button,u can press the home button though, will do the job:-/

Won't turn on the device when it's powered down (as far as I'm aware)
Only way I can think of at the moment would involve a jig and PC.
Force download mode with the jig then flash anything (preferably same modem) in Odin. Set Odin to auto reboot phone and done.
Would only use this method if the power button failed / broke.

Moving to Q&A
To boot the Galaxy S3 without a power button you plug the phone in to a power source via usb or into the laptop.
Pull the battery. Hold down VOLUME DOWN and home key while putting in the battery. This will load Download mode then you can use volume down to reboot.
Figured this out yesterday...works every time.

[Q] Won't Boot Into Recovery

EDIT 2: FIXED, thank you Checkm8!
---
Original Question:
My phone won't boot into recovery by using the manual method. I can boot into it no problem using GooManager to tell the phone to reboot into recovery, but no by powering off my phone, then holding down the power button and volume up. The phone'll vibrate and say "RECOVERY BOOTING" in blue in the upper left, but the screen will just go black and the phone will boot normally after 2 seconds.
This isn't a big problem by itself, but my phone also seems to have a problem with wiping system on its own or something, because multiple times of rebooting my phone just to reboot, the phone won't boot at all. It'll just stay at the "Galaxy S4" splash screen.
EDIT: Flashing to complete stock using Odin doesn't fix the recovery issue, tried it multiple times.
I had a similar issue but it was my fault. I figured out later hold (in this order) volume up, home, and power buttons. Once the phone vibrates, let go of the power button but continue holding the other two until you see "Recovery Booting". Let me know if that works for you.

You are correct sir.... Its not like the S3 that you had to hold all 3 buttons until you saw "Recovery Booting"..

Thanks, that got it to boot into recovery! But now it's just sitting at the "teamwin" screen and has been for the past 5 minutes... I'm going to assume that it's a one time thing and carry on with my life regardless. but now I know how to boot int orecovery the right way! I had gotten it to boot when i first got the phone a few times but I guess I had since started doing it incorrectly.
