Anyone having a problem using this app on slim bean for gs4? Icons are out of place every time I apply a theme. My current DPI is: 361
And also, switching DPI may solve the issue, but I don't want to do that.
I'm using slim bean for the Galaxy s2, and I had the same issue with the icon lining up in themes. I eventually had to change the dpi to 240 and it's fixed the problem for the themes I've been using. I hope you can find another solution as I'm still having my eyes adjust to 240.

For now, Themer only supports stock DPI. It's still incredibly hard to make a specific theme fit a specific device. Now adding the DPI alteration, this doubles the complexity. We apologize for the inconvenience.

ive noticed that on mine too
This is most likely because of your LCD density. I changed mine to 160 and this little seam went away.

Hopefully this helps! Everyone likes different LCD densities, but I'm happy with 160, personally. It looks really crisp!

Huh. Have they fixed the "My Apps" in the market from disappearing when you change to 160 dpi?
Google Maps work now at 160?

You know, I hadn't checked my apps at all, but I've had inconsistent results on that regardless of density, I think. What density do you prefer? I use Gapps 20110307. I also haven't attempted to use Maps, honestly.

Thats really odd! why does this matter to gapps I wonder?
I've messed with mine plenty and never lost the My Apps button.
Went from default (161) to 187, down to 175, and now on 170.
Tinkering around, everything works fine.

I'm feeling 132 on mine and haven't had any problems... it's the native dpi of the device. 155 seems too big to me.
/shrug
But I also like an icon/widget free desktop - so at 132 - you may not be happy with how those look, but apps look great
I m also using 132 and its great. I have even installed the cracked market from rootzwiki and that works great as well.
+1 for 132dpi. It looks great, the launcher gets a little finicky with icon placement but once I'd got all my icons in place its really worked well. Tablet apps in particular look really good.
I prefer 145. On the homescreen it fits 9 icons horizontally, right to the edges. Also the top and bottom margins are tight.
One row open beneath my bottom row of folders:
oh man, that's exactly the change i wanted to make. bought build prop editor from the market. thanks for the tip for screen size ^
I tried 155, 145, 132 personally i stick with 132 looks good.
132 looks amazing. Which makes sense when you consider that's what the display was designed for, and what webOS uses (as well as the same size and resolution iPad).
I am liking 120 so far..
APPLY AT YOUR OWN RISK
132 is best, but it breaks the market.
https://twitter.com/#!/dalingrin/status/159553612597563392
There is a fix available here http://rootzwiki.com/topic/15568-rel-market-fix-dpi-compatibility/
And there is no need to pay for build.prop editors, this does the job just fine http://tinyurl.com/7xoup64
I just use the free app: DPI Changer. No build prop editing needed.
For me, everything except default 160 (which is too big) looks like crap: fonts are ugly, icons are low quality, etc.
i tried 132 and i thought the text in some apps was too small. I dont think our screen is good enough to use that dpi. The text is blurry.
So the prime reason i root my devices is to mess around with the DPI. Has anyone tried any display densities besides the stock 320? If yes, how do you like it?

No. Instead, everything gets smaller, when you decrease the LCD density. To make things larger, increase it.
Usually we use this trick to make better use of the screen. More content and less interface area.
Try increasing the font size, or play with the accessibility settings. Maybe this can help you.

Those things certainly help. I wish you could modify the invert option. Triple tap to zoom is good. Just need a little more than the standard large or extra large font.
Thank you for the quick reply. Much appreciated.

You need reboot 2 times to verify if an app became incompatible. On 260 Botanicula, Bright weather and Angry Bird HD were blocked.
But if you don't use anything that is blocked, be happy! Like me, with the Nexus 5 on 261 (1 pixel before going into the world of phablets). ?
One of the things that I found lacking with my Nexus Player was the ability to reboot straight from within Android. As such, I decided to write a small app which allows me to do just this. I have also added some other small features, such as Reboot to recovery, Reboot to bootloader and Shutdown. I hope that you find my app useful and I look forward to any feedback.

Yes, sadly that is the only way I found to reboot.
It'll be nice to add icons on buttons.

No doubt this is a more elegant solution. I installed the app and will be using it, thank you! It was rather fyi.
It would nice if there was kinda "Sleep" button (not sure if it's actually possible, but I think it should be).
And, also, how about "kill all background tasks"?

I'll look into it however I doubt that I will add an option to kill background tasks as I believe that Android does a good job by itself and closing the apps manually does more harm than good.
task kill is not necessary since Android 4.0, but I will echo the request for Sleep. It would be nice to make it Sleep just like any other Android phone.

Finally i had the time to do this, i have added one more picture to the collection. This show's off the message layout, colors and such!
As last time, i need everyone to say what they think about this theme and come with ideas.
I have added a donation button, for few reasons.
This theme is going to be free for everyone and there will be a icon pack later for those who does not have the option to use this theme and of the apps that aren't supported using themes.
Second reason is, i am broke. The plans was to go down to the store 1. May and pick up my phone but no money for that, so if anyone here thinks what i do awesome and want to help. I am thankful!Recommend everyone to check out my Behance1.ADDED NOTE:
I am a self taught graphic designer and in motion graphics. Mostly do clean looking stuff and lot's in polygon!
Worked on a custom rom for the Oneplus 3/3t phone, but it died and most of my work died with it.
I'll be getting the s8+ too, and i would love to see my own work on the phone. So while i wait, i'll be working on this theme
2.ADDED NOTE:
Sadly, no galaxy s8+ for me. Currently no job and broke. Time to live at mom :/
3.ADDED NOTE:
Will be working on custom animations and other custom stuff, i will have to work on how to code and such.
Won't be able to test any of this before i get my phone. Have a nice day

You have the device, great. I need to ask you to do something for me.
Can you take some screenshots of the settings layput and phone/dialer layout.
I cannot remember everything by mind, i am currently on ISO because my S7 phone died!
Why is it so hard to come up with name...
Was thinking something that has to do with dark/black.
But i am not really the only one out there that as made a theme named Dark something or black something.
So, i was thinking of calling it coal theme. But in latin which should be "Carbo Theme"
Or something fancy like, Darkified stock theme
How many icons did you do? Can you only change Samsung App Icons or across the board i.e. Facebook, Twitter, Gmail... etc.
What would it look like for icons that cannot be edited?
