I just flashed the latest stable build of the pacman rom and latest gapps but i am having an issue with the keyboard constantly force closing. I have updated my twrp and have done multiple wipes and flashes. I only encounter the issue after flashing gapps on the pacman thread and i tried using goomanager and selected latest for my phone with no success. has anyone found a fix for this issue? I downloaded google keyboard and installed it made it primary which then allowed the regular kb to come up but not google kb and my browser is not working just comes up like a flash then gone and the play store is just saying no connection even though i do have one. gmail seems to be the only working gapp

I can't post in the CM9/Photo dev thread yet and I tried leaving comments on Jokersax's wordpress page to make him/devs aware of the issue. I'm not sure if it's a Photon/CM9 issue or just a CM9 issue.
I think this was working on the 0.2 betas but after that I've always had this issue. If I search for something on Google maps, leave it and go somewhere else (just press home) and then come back to Google Maps with the overlay still there with my search item, the map goes blank/gray. I can't see anything unless I hit back twice, losing my last search. I then have to go back to the map and search for my item again. It's completely reproducible. I tried a full wipe with some of the latest builds and I still run into it.
Does anyone else have this problem. I tried doing a search in the dev thread but came up with nothing.
I tried to recreate this bug that you are having issues with. I have had no luck in getting this bug all my maps work fine even when i press home, start another app, close it then go back to maps. works just fine on 4.5.1. do you have the latest version of maps?
I had the same problem and I went with Gmaps v5 instead of v6 and this worked. I used Titanium Backup to restore a saved version. Check Joker's GAPPS 9 or earlier for Gmaps v5.
Flash joker gapps 9 followed by 11.

Ditto. I had the same problem. Plus the compass doesn't work on CM9. My guess is that it's driver related... I went back to a blur based ROM.
I have also been experiencing this issue but I have only been using gapps v11 so far.

I am having the same is. I updated to Jokr's latest version 0.5 last night, and my Maps app is still going gray. As has been said earlier, it does not happen every time, just seems to happen when I most need maps to work. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app from the market with no luck.
Has anyone had luck flashing Gapps 9 then 11?
I just flashed gapps version 9 then 11 and I am still having the same problem. I did not clear cache or anything, so I will try that next.
I flashed 0.4.5 with gapps 11 before a big trip and had that same problem. Now i'm at 0.5.1 and my wife's phone is on 0.4.5 with the same issues.
Did clearing the cache help?
i was having that same problem. i just flashed gapps v9 and it is ok now. i dod think it went blank a couple times at first them stopped.
I have cleared cache to no avail. Deleted all maps files and reinstalled from the market and still have the issue. I just flashed gapps 9 followed by 12 after loading CM0.6.1 and still getting the error sometimes.
Hi,
I just flashed the latest official CM10.1 ROM, and when I booted it up after that, it just said "Unfortunately, Google Play Store has stopped." I opened it. Same thing. I rebooted. Same thing. I reflashed gapps. Same thing. Is it something w/ the ROM or Play Store 4.1.6, and how do I fix it so I can get rid of the nagging about it stopping when I don't even have it open and not even being able to install anything that's not an APK or from Aptoide without moving to another ROM that is probably older?
UPDATE: Wiping and flashing RC2 fixed it.
Hey guys,
I have "cm-10.1-20131006-NIGHTLY-tf201" installed on my TF201.
There have been popping up notifications on newer Nightlies [cm-10.1-20131020-NIGHTLY-tf201.zip , cm-10.1-20131028-NIGHTLY-tf201.zip ].
I tried downloading both of the newer nightlies using the CMUploader integrater into the ROM but even when it does finish the download, it says that the "MD5 Checksum failed" and the download is cancelled.
I tried finding another route and downloaded the files straight from the CM website, uploaded them into the internal memory and flash them using TWRP but to no avail. I had to reflash the nightly mentioned above to get the system going on again.
How do I solve this situation?
The nightly I have installed is pretty unstable and I think upgrading to the newer versions could probably fix some of these crashes.
Another question:
Does the CM ROM support the keyboard extension for the device? I seem to be able to type and use the mouse but there is no indication whether there are 2 batteries and how much they are charged.
Hey guys, I tried to flash the HTC One Stock rom ported to my DNA, which “bricked” my phone. I was stuck on the white HTC boot screen when I tried to boot, and was only able to go into the bootloader (CWM recovery would not boot). I have S-OFF, HBOOT, unlocked bootloader, root access. I then tried flashing the team win recovery, which worked, but also would not boot. After continuing to get frustrated, trying to run RUU (failing because my battery was below 30%), I did some more research and tried “fastboot clear cache”, then tried booting into recovery – tada! So now I was in recovery, cleared all my cache/data, flashed the CM 10.2.1 zip and the latest PA Gapps I had stored on the phone. Everything went clean and Cyanogenmod booted up.
Now, however, the Play Store will not open (connection error, “retry”) and Hangouts will not connect. Any ideas? I’ve tried clearing Google Play Services data, Hangouts data, Play Store data, rebooting, toggling airplane mode, removing and re-adding my google account. Also, I’m getting sync errors for my google account. Any help here would be appreciated.
Most of the other Google apps I’ve tried work fine and have all my data, including Maps, Gmail, Keep, Search/Now, Play Music, etc.
It may also be important to note that the phone is currently not attached to a number (I re-activated my old iPhone 4s so I can at least have a phone for the time being). I do have wifi access.
Thanks.
Try This
Everytime that happened to me it always ended up being because it was either an outdated version of GAPPS or it wasn't a minimal gapps install. What i recommend is to look up version of android you're running, google "*your android version 4.x.x* minimal gapps.zip" I always go minimal because having all of the extra play apps and google services isn't necessary and can cause issues with certain roms, plus dat battery drain is rough compared to a minimal gapps install. After this has happened and it still hasn't worked, let me know :good:

I tried two different "minimalistic" gapps - one was 15mb and the other ~60mb. For the 15mb one, my keyboard didnt work and I had the same google connection issues with the other one.
The latest pa gapps on 10.2.1? Do you mean the latest 4.3 gapps or did you accidentally use the kitkat ones? If you used the kitkat ones it would definitely cause problems like that. My suggestion: just flash the latest cm11 and pa gapps. I think you'll be much happier with it anyway.

Hey, been a little to busy to troubleshoot this. My problems began when I flashed a snapshot build of CM11 for the DNA. There is no "Stable" release on their downloads page yet: http://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=dlx&type=.
I did find this guy though: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2714425
Should I try flashing this? Also, I was reading that you need new radio firmware for Kit-Kat. Is this true? I tried to flash the latest radio through fastboot but it gave me an error that had something to do with an unknown device ID.
Let me know your input, thanks.
Update:
I Flashed C-Rom 6.5 (Android 4.4) and the 4.4 PA Gapps and still had the same exact issues as before:
Play Store Connection issue
Hangouts connection issue
Other google connection issues
No 800 MHz cell band connection (device said Voice was Out of Service when I put my phone number back on). 700 MHz LTE, however did work.
Can't get adb to see my device, but fastboot can.
Corrupted model id and serial number.
So with all these issues above, the corrupted model id and serial number are what I've been mainly trying to tackle. I've read about fastboot flashing the ENG HBOOT and changing the model id that way, but I cannot flash zips in fastboot because of the corrupted model id (give the model id check error and fails). I'd be completely satisfied at this point with running RUU and getting onto the stock 4.4 update that came out. However, when I run the RUU.exe, it says it can't see my device and when I try to flash the RUU hboot, radio, and recovery zips, obviously the model id check will fail. I've since factory reset and flashed CM10.2.1 back onto the phone because C-Rom 6.5 was very laggy. The phone is pretty much just a wifi device now and I have to download apps via apk's in the browswer and manually update everything.
Anyone have any ideas on getting the model id and serial number back to normal? Really starting to get tired of my cracked iPhone.
I'm using a Galaxy S3 i9300 on a temporary basis and to get away from serious battery issues on the Stock ROM. I installed Resurrection Remix 5.7.6 (Android M). It works really smooth but I've had a recurring issues with the phone going into a bootloop while trying to reboot System UI until I use the stable backup I made in TWRP to recover it. I've noticed one thing where this issue occurs when I try to install an App from the Play Store, even though I installed a bunch of apps before this where it didn't bootloop, but every once in a while when I'm installing an app on the phone, after it downloads and starts to install, my phone UI crashes and goes into a bootloop. It's a very awkward issue and I'm new to Custom ROMs, can anybody figure out why this is?
Flash stock and start over. Dirty flashing breaks things.
pays
I definitely clean flashed the ROM and the Gapps, trust me on that. I also had another experience today; I installed an app and as soon as it installed the Theme Launcher, Trebuchet, and Play Services immediately crashed and I went into a System UI reboot. If I tried opening the app, I kept going into system UI reboots. Uninstalling this app and downloading the Lite version went just fine. I tried reflashing Gapps but it didn't change anything. Weird that it does it on this particular app, any ideas?
Try an older version of gapps
