We won't be getting 4.4. Period. It's a year old phone with a LOCKED bootloader, why would they give us 4.4? They want us to upgrade. They aren't here to serve us, we're here to serve them. Now, while it would be nice, there's Nexus devices for it.
Sorry to burst your bubble :/

Yeah, exactly. CyanogenMod may be the only way SOME users experience 4.4. These companies sure have us right where they want us.

Galaxy S2 is SS flagship phone so it get 4.4. But L9 is mid-range phone, if it get 4.4 we all get big surprise by LG.

I think we have a chance at getting an update. Maybe not 4.4, but so far LG has kept this phone on par with their flagship, the original optimus G. The optimus G is rumored to be getting kitkat, we might get it too.

I liked how that chocolate corporation just shoved money into Google's face to change Key Lime Pie to KitKat. LOL! :sly:

Google claims that 4.4 will work on devices with 512mb ram and will be optimized to work on low/mid range phones,so i dont see why we couldnt get 4.4....It depends on LG.

When i said that before 1-2 months,everybody write,are u have some sources...just google..
Sent from my LG-P760 using xda premium

One of sources
Read part Android 4.4 features..
As you can see they will use linux kernel 3.8 which dont use much ram and handles task better

Release date 14 or 31.October...

I agree with you on waiting for a stable release. I need something I know will work, but I'm very excited that CM has moved to JB so quickly.
The only OTA update I need is a download of my next custom ROM.

There's no way to port that over. It requires TW framework and libs which cannot be ported over because it is very different.

CM10 > Samsung in general. I had to briefly flash back to my stock Samsung ICS nandroid backup today after running CM10 for the past 5 days, and it seemed incredibly slow and choppy compared to CM10. I was blown away at the difference.

Android Apps

If an app is configured to only work on ICS and down and not on JellyBean, what would it take for me to make it so that it'll work on JB? Or you know...if someone can do it lol. But I'd prefer to do it myself. Thanks!
Android is retrocompatible, so, if an app is developed to work with ICS as minimum version, it SHOULD work on JB.

It shouldn't take you too long to port it over. Some apps won't require any modifications to work on the new firmware, while others do.

The opinions about the battery life are a bit controverse. How much are you able to get? A saying goes like this: Never touvh a running system. Thats something I ve learned in the past couple of years. Yes downgrade is possible with the offline flash method (read the how tos and faqs).

That already is amazing, but sorry to say okes, the Ace doesn't have that hardware.

i don't think google people are fools they *definitely have brain
I don't think we could possibly get an official one but the one built by the androidarmv6 team would be faster than JB as 4.4 uses less ram.
