First of all, this is not meant as a disrespect to anyone at MyColorScreen or the team behind the Themer App.
Secondly, I'm not affiliated with them in any way.
I have been a part of the Beta team for quite some time and while this is a great app, it lacks something basic.
The ability to publish themes to the Play Store.
For a long time I was being bugged about this, that why we couldn't publish our themes to the Play Store unlike other launchers. From what I saw till the last version was that I had to be logged in to download themes or access the themes that I had downloaded. If I logged out, I couldn't access the downloaded themes anymore. (No idea if this was by default or a bug). With the amount of permissions the app takes, I did not feel secure being logged in through the app all the time.
Then I mailed the admin at MCS and he said that all themes are to be sent to him for now, which means we cannot publish our themes to the Play Store which in turn means that we could not get proper feedback for what we made.
So, I looked through the app thoroughly to understand how it works and found a workaround to publish our themes to the Play Store. Its pretty simple and the themers don't have to do anything except change the package name and copy their themes into the app.
This app is completely open source for everyone to integrate it with their themes. Use it like I made it or change it however you want. You are free to do anything with it.
Details in the next post.
How it works:
This app will copy your theme and screenshots to the users Exported folder. They can use it anytime by opening Launcher Menu>My Themes>Exported>"THEME". You can even add more than 1 theme in this app. Just put the Theme and the screenshots in proper place and it will all work out fine. Sneaky yeah?

How to use:
Get the source from my github here.
Import it in Eclipse or whichever IDE you use.
Right click on src, go to Refactor>Rename and rename it to your package name.
Now get your exported theme and copy it to assets>zip>"HERE" (Delete my zip)
Now there will be 4 images formed in your SD Card after u export your theme in this directory:
/mnt/sdcard/MyColorScreen/Themer/Exported/thumbs/"HERE"
If you gave your exported theme the name "MyTheme" , there should be screenshots of your theme formed in the "thumbs" folder like MyTheme.png, MyTheme00.png, MyTheme01.png and MyTheme02.png.
Copy these 4 images to assets>thumbs>"HERE". (Delete my screenshots)
Now copy 3 of your screenshots to res>drawable-hdpi>"HERE" and name them screen1, screen2, screen3. (Delete my screenshots)
Next go to res>values>strings.xml and change the theme name and my name to your theme name and your own name.
Finally, go to res>xml>prefs.xml and change the links redirecting to my Play Store account to links redirecting to your Play Store account. If you do not need it, then just delete it.
Most important step. Publish your app.
That's it. Seems like a lot of work but its really nothing if you take a look through it once.
Screenies of app:
I just exported the default theme of Themer to use it as an example.

Explanation for permission:
WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: Needed to copy the Theme to the SD Card.
Since the app is completely open source, you can check out the complete sources just to be sure.
If you get stuck anywhere, ask in thread. I'll help you out. I commented the code heavily too, so it should be easy for you to understand how it works. If you still get stuck anywhere, ask me.
Download the app if you want to test it out first.
I made this for 4.1+ since Themer is only available for 4.1+. If Themer comes to lower versions, so will this app.
Just a few words.
No need to ask me for permission to use this. Use it however you want to. Just give credits where it is due. It would be nice if you can add a link to this thread so more people can find about this.

Nice!
Thanks for sharing this with us! I was personally thinking about the same thing so I'm glad someone took the initiative. I'm still working on the actual concept on my upcoming theme in photoshop, as for now I have nothing to test with but at least I can keep this thought out off my mind.
This is great! I will try it tomorrow, but I will probably upload it to Google Play later since I am switching accounts on it.
Thank you for making my life easier

This Metamorph will remove the colored tiles from the TouchWiz3.0 app menu. Make sure you are using the latest version of Metamorph (1.9.13 or higher). I'm not responsible for anything you do to your phone.
WARNING:
You will have to reset your homescreen widgets after applying this morph. Not sure why, but they will all pop up with the "Problem loading widget" image.

This seems pretty useful, I also hope that one day we can get customizable backgrounds and set a specific background on whatever app you choose.

It's possible but I don't see custom backgrounds implemented any time soon. From what I can see, there's not an image that denotes app menu background, so it would take a tweaked version of the launcher to even enable that, not to mention an image chooser as well.
That being said, we do have the source, so it is possible. It would just take someone with the skill and dedication to accomplish it.
Thank you!
I thought it was so stupid that Samsung decided to add random color backgrounds to the icons.

Glad to hear that it's possible, sure enough I would do it if I had the skill for it. Thanks for this, I actually like it better without the background. Kudos!
Actually, after reading up on it, it's sounds like Samsung might not have included the TouchWiz UI in the source they released. So it may be a bit harder than we though, but that's still not to say it's impossible.
I'm glad you like my morph, though. I couldn't stand the tiles either.

The wallpapers retain the same name as their originals but I have changed the icons for them.
To select the wallpapers long press an empty spot on your home screen or press Menu < Wallpapers < Live Wallpapers
and select from:
Water
Nexus
Galaxy
Ocean Waves
Rather then explain how i modified each one, Ill let you look at the screenshots instead, and i might do a video demo. These live wallpapers might be able to be flashed on to any android 2.1+ capable device with live wallpaper support using clockwork recovery but this has only been tested on the Vibrant.
DOWNLOAD: HERE!
*NOTE* if any dev could show me how to make these into standalone installable apks rather than a flashable zip, id really appreciate i!

well i dont think itd work because i didnt sign it, and it was originally a system app, you can feel free to try and let me know though. I'll try to see if i can make an installable version.
I am currently working on another release. So far I have modified the Ocean Waves wallpaper to look like the ocean waves under the moon night, and I made the galaxy wallpaper take on a more "Galaxy S" color pallette. I plan on doing the nexus wallpaper next and i might have a release by the end of the weekend hopefully. I still dont know how to make them installable apps though so we are going to have to rely on replacing the stock wallpapers till then. if anyone wants to help me out, feel free to shoot me a pm.
Thanks!

Seems like this would be a pretty easy metamorph, since it's only a few png's that are changed for each wallpaper. Or a standalone install shouldn't be too hard either.
I like the nexus wallpaper a lot so I kanged it into a NexusMod apk.

Can you upload and post a link to the apk you made?
Or can the OP offer any suggestions as to why this might not be working on my phone? I'm running the Vibrant6 with a lagfix. It installs both apps, but in application manager it says they are both 0.00 bytes, and they don't show up in live wallpapers at all.

Did you flash through clockwork recovery? Hmm actually I think it's because I used the lwp from the stock rom, and I just remember it's odexed. I'll put up a deodexed version tonight hopefully. If anyone wants to help me make this an installable apk I'd really appreciate it
metamorph
I used this theme as training for metamorphing. Everything is the same as in the OP's version, but I removed the unnecessary files of cours, hence a slightly smaller size.
In regards to uploading the modified NexusMod apk, I would have to say no, since it's not a free app. Unless Chris gave me permission. I would be happy to give a brief tutorial though.
Thank you. And I didn't know about the Nexus mod being paid...I thought I downloaded it for free once. I guess they have two versions on the market, and I just don't remember seeing the other. Thanks though for the metamorph.
Although if you don't mind, I would like to know how you squeeze parts into an already made app. Will that allow me to use the different colored particles from Nexus mod on this background?
Ok I have been looking all over the forum and I`m sure it is really easy to find but it looks like I was unable to do it.
so from where can I find several widgets and not only.
First of all the nice looking weather widget like :

}
Second:
the nice looking clock like that one
or the one in the first picture.
And icons for adw launcher that are just black and white like in this pic :
Thanks in advance.
OK, first the clock is called clockr and is in the market.
The icons can be downloaded then you have to manually select them in ADW, I've attached ones that may fit your needs.
I'm not sure about the weather ones, I think it's a modded beautiful widgets which is available in the market, it is a paid for app. (someone correct me if I'm wrong!)
Hope that helps
Thx for the icons - however I have beautiful widgets and there is no theme like that for them

Here we go! These are all very similar, I can't tell exactly which you want so I've just put all the plain ones I could find up.
Extract this RAR in the SD card in /data/beautifulwidgets/wskins/. This should give you 6 folders. Just then select the skin in the add widget section, it should show as downloaded!
Hope that's the right ones!

Think some of the text based weather widgets are from the minimalistic text app. Looks really slick, especially if you take the time to customize it.
This is what mine looks like (very much inspired by toosurreal01's power mod theme for minimalistic text - all credit goes to him!)
EDIT: Sorry, obviously more of a clock widget than a weather widget!
I want to collect here themes made for ssLauncher. There is an another thread for this on xda but not all themes there are be perfect for our small display.
First you need is ssLauncher. You can get the free versoin from here:
https://market.android.com/details?...t#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5zcy5sYXVuY2hlciJd
Or payed version from here:
https://market.android.com/details?...51bGwsMSwyLDEwMiwiY29tLnNzLmxhdW5jaGVyLnRvIl0.
If you've installed ssLauncher you can make your own theme and post it here. Or you can download a theme from here and open it up with ssLauncher.
Loading a theme:
Copy the downloaded .zip file to the root of your SD-Card. Then push the settings button on your phone and go to "more" settings. After that select "load" and choose the .zip file on your SD-Card.
Saving a theme:
First of all you must save your template by longer pressing a free place on your display. A menu appears with several options. Choose "save template". If you do this more than one time you must delete all useless templates befor you can proceed with the next step.
Next step is similar than "Loading a theme". But choose "save" and then your SD-Card to save your theme. Now you can find a zip. file on your card named like "ss_20120224_172531". Copy it to your PC and rename it if you like.

It's really crazy what you can do with this launcher. I'ts more like a content managment system than a launcher. I hope the developers will support it continuosly. This is one of my most modified themes. Self made icons by a modified font etc...

Thank you Hyousoka!
Beautiful theme, but a few questions.
1. I can't find a "Apps" icon anywhere. Is the only way to launch your app drawer on this theme to double tap an open area and select Apps?
2. Most of the icons just take me to the play store. For example, click on any of the icons on Games screen, "Arcade & Action", or any of the others, it opens the play store to the front page for all of them. Does this one some of the others too. Is this supposed to happen?

Open App Drawer: Swipe up Gesture
There is no options available on this launcher or any other launchers to launch the Play Store to a specific section of the play store. The idea is to create your own folder or Smart Category in that space and just set the image to invisible. At the time I released this theme there was no option for Smart Categories yet, and there were no shortcut folders for games so there was no way to accomplish this.
Now you can create your own Smart Category and place one on each space with a transparent image. I have since moved on to a new theme so I will not be going back to add those folder. Users can simply add them very easily, unless the guys at Themer decide to add this to Themer Beta then most likely they will add it for everyone. At this point it doesn't seem like they plan to add it even though it had a very large demand for it on the MCS site and other social medias.

Sure thing, but it's going to have to wait till tomorrow. Out shopping last minute and then hitting a movie. If I remember correctly the PSD I posted should include the wallpapers with filters, but I will double check when I get home.
