Mount rw in root explorer, but if you use kernel without removed write protection that also wont help. Do it in twrp file manager, that will work 100%.

A drastic solution is reinstall your ROM, or install a new one (remember to make a backup in order to recover your data).

This happens when you format the sdcard without uninstalling the apps.
Do you have backups of these apps ? If you have reinstall them without removing anything.
Otherwise download the apks from other sites and then install them. Once you install , you will again will be able to see them normally in app manager and remove them without any pain. Google search with "your file.apk " . You will get plenty of result.

If so, then you are on stock. If you boot into recovery , and see no text or an android logo only with exclamation mark , means you are on stock.
Disable fastboot in power setting . Then power off your device . Press Power +volume down key together . Your phone will boot into bootloader. select recovery by pressing volume down key . Then press power. Your phone now will boot into recovery .
This CWM zip will enable emoji compatibility throughout the system. I believe Jellybean supports it natively and some ICS roms (e.g., CM9) have it. I'm not sure if CM9 support is only in the messaging app, but this zip enables it system wide, which means you'll be able to see them in the browser, Twitter apps, etc. Unfortunately, they only appear in black and white. If there are any problems with flashing, you can manually extract the files to the appropriate directory (/system/fonts) with 644 permissions.
Flash in recovery or manually extract contents
Download
Download 2 (for Shostock 2 and presumably other Samsung ICS roms)

I also got the status error "0" in cwm.
I'm using Root Browser lite. Not sure how to mount to read/write.
EDIT:
I managed to get it working. I had to tweak Root Browser lite to allow me to change permissions. I noticed when you extract the files into the /system/font folder, it doesn't overwrite the old ones; it just renames the extracted files with a "-copy" suffix. I deleted the old files then removed the "-copy" from the extracted files. Rebooted and confirmed its working now.
Thanks for this mod! Now I can see what iPhone users are emoji-ing about...lol

Since we're replacing the font files with modded ones, the emojis act like regular fonts. They're supposed to be black and white...unless you change your phone's font color to something else.
I think (in theory), the emojis on the iPhone are linked to a certain image based on the character combinations... : ) =, : ( = etc...

To those having cwm issues, extract the contents and place them manually.
You'll need: FXP CM9 rom.zip
a working brain
WinRAR
Open the FXP.zip
navigate to /system/framework
replace the framework-res.apk with the apk in the attachment below
put the zip file into sd card
flash it via recovery
no need for wipe or anything

I think it'll do it (cause flashing it via CWM is also just replacing the original with the new one)
If not, you can access your internal Memory with ADB even in bootloop!
(Only with CyanogenMod)

You can't really screenshot a transition
I installed it on FXP147 CM9 on XPERIA P.
It will boot loop if you hit replace
If you first rename the ''nameoffile".apk as "nameoffile".apk.bak, then the dialog won't repeat nameoffile has stopped working
So just dont replace Rename old file
Just rename it as.apk.bak copy your new apk, longpress on new apk>properties>set permissions 'rw-r--r--'
If in case your device is in bootloop, reboot to recovery and set permissions
If it's still in bootloop then either the file is not of your phone(apk might be say of sxp which you pasted on sxu) then you gotta go for restoring back up or flashing Rom

hi guys,
i'm a newbe here
i have just rooted my htc desire x, and i would delete some useless system apps (i.e. 7digital, rescue, facebook.. etc),
ok so, i do that:
- open explorer
- reach /system/app
- delete /system/app/7digital.apk and /system/app/7digital.odex
right, everything ok!
i check on setting -> apps , no more 7digital on the list
but....
if i delete something else, (i.e. facebook etc...)
the phone turn it off and restart.
at the restart i find again all my deleted apps
someone knows why have this happened ?
thank you a lot!
Your phone is not completely rooted...You do not have permission to delete files from system or data when you are running the sense on it. I mean the phone is working.
You can do that in recovery mode only or else recently there is kernel patch introduce..you can patch it to delete files when phone is running.
Thru recovery you can use Aroma filemanager "http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1646108"
Else this post to tweak Kernel.....http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2142286
