Apologize for the stupid question. If I install this rom, would it update the firmware and radio or do I have to do those seperately?

That has to be done separately.
Super excited to flash this rom, been waiting for the official ATT 4.3 rom. Tried some of the other 4.3 roms, but battery life seems to be hit and miss. I always had good battery life with STOCK att roms and hoping this the no different.
Thanks

I used cschmitt's decrypted RUU, didn't do it myself. I'll talk to someone who might though and get back to you.

put the ruu(ota zip) in whatever folder in c: that you have fastboot /adb drivers in. first rename to just RUU(makes it alot easier) reboot to fastboot follow this exactly. its not flashable and must be install through fastboot.
for me it looks just like this..........
cd/android
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip RUU.zip
fastboot reboot
do not pull usb or enter fastboot reboot if you dont see success at bottom after install in cmd... it will fail the first time you will see (flush image again) re-enter flash zip command and it will install.

I've already pulled the firmware from that one. I'm talking about the OTA ATT pushed. I believe it's different then the RUU provided by HTC! We'll talk more later. Not trying to stir thread in wrong direction.

The STOCK stock rom
I am releasing stock updates for unlocked users. The rom is in blob format instead of the extracted files of a rom. It can also be flashed with CWM however it is still a blob so it may take longer to flash. One of the best features of this rom is that just like stock updates it doesn't remove your apps. All apps will be optimized after install!!!
As with everything everywhere I provide no warrenty and am not responsible for anything that you do!!! I cannot guarentee that this wont fry your tablet but I will say that it shouldn't.
Note: by deffault this rom is not rooted but can be by flashing a root zip in recovery or by downloading the rooted version
Now with a ROOTED version check post 2 for links.
To add root flash the following file via CWM after the rom install is complete!
http://goo-inside.me/superuser/Superuser-3.0.7-efghi-signed.zip
To flash the blob:
Code:
adb push blobfile /sdcard/
Code:
adb shell
su
dd if=/sdcard/blobfile of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p4
reboot
Note: This can be done from a rooted rom as root (#) or from CWM recovery.
Pictures and changelog currently not necessary as this should be identical to stock.
Issues:
None, please post if you find some!
How to DOWNLOAD:
Go to post 2 and click on the download link for desired rom.
To Do:
Get user feedback
Get people to press the THANKS button --->
Thanks to Rukas on irc for giving me the push to make this rom and cky2k on irc for testing
Download links:
Note: If you want to use the blob method you can extract the blobfile from the CWM zip file.

yes after the rom has completed flashing and you rebooted and the blue bar has finished, then reboot into CWM and flash the root zip. That should give you root. The zip is located in the First post.

No need to reboot, flash directly su.zip after flashing ROM.
I think you include root in the ROM,
everybody will want it.

are you saying that the root zip will work before the blob is flashed(blue bar)?
Also I may make a rooted version if what you are saying is true I could just merge the two zip files (rom and su) and be good to go.

Hum didn't take notice that you used blob file to install..... Usually we use classic zip archive in cwm, more simple to handle, and blob only for kernel as it can't be flashed by another way.
So perhaps itwould be more simple to add Super User.apk and su binary in blob.

Yeah I can add it to the blob. However I am still debating on doing it and if I should add the superuser apk or just have users download it from market.
Thanks for the input btw.

It depends on your faith to think people will do this by themselves without flooding the thread with 'How do I root' questions...
Thank you, exactly what I was looking for.
Quick question, since these are technically stock updates, do we need to wipe anything before flashing? Im thinking no but wanted to be sure. Thanks in advance for any help

I am thinking that you are correct. However if you run into problems do a wipe and install again.
Just flashed this and all went smooth glad to be back on stock, needed it for some kernel testing thanks!

First: impossible on unlocked devices.
Two: why would you gain ? It's the exact copy of stock .21 that you have with OTA update....

I would have to agree with this...the one I would absolutely avoid at the moment as it's not fully stable is Joker V4. I use V3 for everything, and Joker's my boy....V4 just has some bugs that make things flash funny...
Also, with some recoveries, it seems not everything flashes the first time around, so the flash twice does seem to work well to make sure it fully copies everything over.
If it still doesn't boot, get Ryan or I an adb logcat of your boot, and we can work to get you a resolution to your issue
Sorry if I'm stepping on your toes ryan....totally not my intention...just figure I'll offer to help if I can...not to mention, people need to know to give proper feedback, which in the case of a NON-boot situation includes an adb logcat of the phone attempting to boot up
If anyone doesn't know how to do an adb logcat, here's the procedure:
1) Download android-sdk for your OS
2) Extract the archive file
3) go to /android-sdk/tools folder and double click android
4) Be sure to download platform-tools at the very least
5) Turn your phone off
6) Plug into PC
7) Open a command prompt (for Win) C:\(path to your sdk folder)\platform-tools\adb logcat -C (for Linux) navigate to your platform-tools folder, open Terminal and type in: sudo ./adb kill-server (press enter), then: sudo ./adb start-server (press enter), then: ./adb logcat -C
8) Press Enter (it should say "waiting for device")
9) Power up your phone
10) When you get to the point where the boot fails, hit Ctrl and Z (this will stop the logcat process)
11) Copy this output to a txt file or Pastebin site and copy us a link
No probs man! Two heads better than one. lol Feel at home.
Though I am pretty confused why it wont boot up on a CDMA device as I've got it running completely stable on my GSM photon.
Agree, a logcat would be helpful!

Thanks for the details man,
i used jokers V3 recovery. Flashed thrice but no use.
I followed your procedure to get logcat but no luck...
my command prompt still says waiting for device when my photon is trying to boot.
To be doubly sure on the file that i downloaded was having no issues just downloading the file again.let me see...

Oh Fudge! I have figured it out. It seems one of the cpu scripts I had placed in the rom is borking the boootup process. I will upload a fix in a few after I run a couple of more tests. Dearest apologies for the trouble it may have caused.
Edit : Cant seem to workaround a fix So will be re-uploading a working rom again. Although those who have already downloaded can do this :

ryan...put this into your build.props. It will enable adb logcat debugging

I have deodexed it, rooted it, added busybox, and packaged it up.
You MUST be on the ICS OTA firmware before applying this one.
It will not work without the firmware update that goes with it.
And while this is an update, you need to wipe everything before installing it.

The commands are the some in both Windows and OSX. In other words adb is adb.
Any thoughts on whether it will be possible to flash pre-OTA ROMs over the new firmware? (I did see on another thread someone encountering the mainver issue again, so I suppose we'll have to reset mainver if we do that).

What annoying warning? This is an HTC update, not a home made one. There shouldn't be anything hokey with it.
If you switch to some other mode, it probably wants the right kind of SIM for that mode. Assuming that's what you mean.

Oh ok.. I got you..
Thank you
Thanks for all of your work and time DSB!!!
This is awesome, great news. Now us global users can finally have a stable 3.6 build as a base!
One question though, I'm on the old gingerbread firmware so to flash this I should flash both files through hboot, correct? The 500 MB one first then the 33 MB, right?

I created a new working gapps.zip for the Fuhu Nabi2. This gapps package will not give you the 'Android Upgrading' on every boot on your Nabi2. You can install this through TWRP, or you can replace the gapps.zip file in the jmzroot pack. If you are using the files and instructions from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2016463 then you already have the new working gapps.

You probably meant to post in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1905674
There is a link there for the drivers.
Or if you are on Linux, you don't need any drivers. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2016463

NO! this is ONLY to updated gapps after you have updated to 1.9.37 and rooted with jmz root tool. You must update to 1.9.37 before your root, updated on your nabi by going it to settings/ about tablet/Update. Run this manually, there are 2 software updated. Then when your root use option 2 on jmz. Follow the directions and make sure a backup is made. It will push root.zip and gapps to your tablet, which you must flash manually in recovery. You will get quicker responses from the forum that you downloaded jmzrootpackage and a ton of information there.

Yeah - if that's the direction you want to go... t499 posted how to at the end of his ubuntu linux rooting guide. Instructions easy adapted for Windows if you prefer.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2016463
There is also a full backup from TWRP from another user you can download and restore in the other Nabi thread that supposedly brings your nabi up to date and restores wifi. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1905674&page=97 look for posts from e2950, and replies to his post for more info.

No and yes. You have to do your OTA updates to get up to 1.9.37 either OTA or manually from microsd card. I have posted the OTA files at the bottom of http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=35287470&postcount=1
Yes you can just replace the gapps.zip in the jmzrootpackage with this gapps package(name it gapps.zip) and then run the script.

You can also restore your system to the backup that you should have on /sdcard/TWRP/backup...
The backup should have been created by the root/gapps/backup script.
Just boot into the TWRP recovery and choose restore, then pick the backup that was made. Then do your OTA updates, and reinstall root/gapps/etc.
Thank you very much, t499user, for the updated gapps/no more updating on boot fix. It worked flawlessly.
I could mirror on Box/Dropbox too if you need. Just let me know.

Sounds like you only had temporary root, you will have to root it again.
Hello everyone. This is my first tutorial with Gear S so I hope it will help someone.
First of all
I am not responsible for any damage done to you deviceI saw in this Tutorial thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/gear-s/development/definitive-guide-to-rooting-gear-s-t2973455, that some people have unsupported firmware versions and they can't root they'r device. It is not true. You can root your device, if you will follow this simple guide.
What do you need:
1) Gear S
2) Charging cradle with USB cable
3) PC running Windows (because windows is only OS I know XD)
4) Odin 3.09: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B4xXHWEm81OleU0wckt0S2pjSU0
5) supported firmware downloaded from here: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-R750/ (it is just on you which one do you pick, but it must be supported in the root thread)
6) Drivers: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B4xXHWEm81OlT1ZBeXdHYXZqQTA
If you have everything downloaded you can proceed to the tutorial it selfStep by step firmware changing guide:
1) Unzip downloaded software and install drivers
- you should end with one .MD5 file and one .dll file (I am not sure, if the .dll is needed)
2) Open Odin 3.09

"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",

}
- Here you have to Tick AP, click on AP and select your .MD5 file
-you should start to see something like this (wait until it says leave CS..)
- you can continue if you see this
3)Untick Auto reboot
4) Enable USB-Debugging on Gear S
- Settings -> Gear Info -> USB Debugging
5) Put your gear S into download mode
https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=qwcf79m9ycw
- credits go to cipherswitch
6) Connect your gear S to PC
- you should see this
7) Click start and wait till it is done
- when it is done you will see this
8)Wait till Gear S reboot
- Now just look at the firmware page and there should be new software version
If you have an error
-repeat everything but with different firmware version
P.S.: Sorry if you can't see pictures, so if you have problem just look into attachment they are listed here

I downloaded the exact same one from sammobile then I flashed the AOA7 root file from the root thread and it works fine. The software version will still be AOA7 but I think the baseband will be APC1 but mine is working flawlessly. Also you could still flash stock AOA7 first then root but theres no need as I've tested it.

as long as i know, changing stock rom does not affect carrier, but if u are scared, dont try it (i would try it for sure), because u can go totally back by flashing your stock rom.

Sorry, sounds right...can't remember the steps off hand.
Inside the .tar is an image file, might need to be unpacked, sorry just don't remember the steps.
Just follow the guide and use this file.
Best of luck.

I'll rack my brain to try to remember....but from what i do remember it wasn't like root for a phone.....no su app (tizen os) ...just able to execute admin commands via adb.
If you were to load android os well then su will probably be available.
I'll look back through my files, looking for any guides when i get a chance.
