hello everybody !
I got a Korean phone SKY IM A690S 2 weeks ago. until now , I can't do anything with this phone , just make a phone call or send message.
As you know , everyone uses smartphone always wants to explore all the features of the phones as well as can cook , can flash new os.
please help me to root, flash recovery flash a new rom .

I know that some of the random non brand name devices I've used, I could just use an adb shell and get root. But this isn't true for everything. As for rom cooking and recovery, that's a whole nother beast.

I just bought an Alcatel OT-983 and I would like to root and unlock it.
Any ideas about how could I do one of these?

I managed to unlock it for free using the O2 one month pay monthly trick. I received the unlock code in 48 hours.
got the root and the unlock, have now posted here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=35243450&postcount=1 and uploaded the recovery.img hoping someone would be kind enough to create a CWM for the OT0983.

help me, alcatel ot 983 bricked
I think I bricked my alcatel ot 983 by installing something, seriously I didn't know what I was doing, I am so dumb, this is my first cheap android phone.
I found some file called Andread_32_i2e on google downloaded from 4shareddotcom and flashed my phone, and the phone now hangs in boot logo the green android logo
help me, I didn't make any back up
do I need the original stock rom or something, I got no clue

what do you mean unlock? i meant to unlock it to use in other network
i'm not a coder, so i'm not sure what is on your thread, ie. no unlocking info

Some kind person over at 'hotukdeals' did me a favour and got me the SIM unlock code from the carrier. Root was easy enough, unfotunately not much support for this device, without a CWM recovery, or a stock rom, Iam reluctant to do any further changes.
There is an official application called "Alcatel One Touch Upgrade NB v1.02" that may be able to restore people's broken phones to their default brand new state: http://www.mirrorcreator.com/files/E3K4W5EI/one-touch-upgrade-nb-1-0-3-setup-medoclite.exe_links
The .exe name says v1.03 so does their website but it is actually v1.02. This may help these of you who have messed up your phones.
my bricked phone keeps restarting so I couldn't use alcatel one touch upgrade

the thing is alcatel onetouch upgrade tells me turn my phone off and connect to pc via usb cable but the problem is as soon as i connect my phone via usb the phone turn on, so alcatel one touch upgrade fails at 65% download from the server
I can get my phone in to recovery mode but I think I will need the rom, i dont know
if someone bought a new phone of this model and made a rom backup and if you can post that it will be really nice

if you guys could give me detailed instructions as to how i can extract the system.img file i might be able to help you. I have a stock rooted phone btw, i've uninstalled a few applications i didn't want and move some to sd using link2sd i think, not sure if that matters or not. My phone is currently not unlocked to all networks but will be within the next 2 weeks.

yesterday i have purchased a new Karbonn a1+. as per given instructions and tricks over the forum and internet i have tried almost everything but unable to ROOT my device . after googled some more i found a reason of not success which seems logical , that is KArbonn has changed the hardware as well as software version of Karbonn a1+, means a third version Karbonn a1+ introduces into market. the description is as below:
Karbonn a1+
SW : 2.0.8
HW: 3.0.0 (outside sticker)
HW: 1.0.0 (inside description @ about phone)
BB: SC6820
GB:2.3.6
Add info: No recovery or Hard reset Keys combination worked, only a TEST menu there.
i have tried z4Root, oneclick Root, gingerbreak, Shuame and unlockROOT but nothing worked on it.
i found somewhere on this blog about Rooted stock ROM but the same is for only soft V 2.0.0 and 2.0.3 so i left it.
please advice how to ROOT this. :fingers-crossed:
CONGRATSSS: IHAVE FOUND THE RIGHT TOOL FOR ROOTING TESTED ON SW-2.0.8
1. download Vroot fronm here
2. install on your PC.
3. connect your mobile via USB cable.
4. click on green button.
calm and sit back.
phone will restart itself and a superuser (chinese) will appear at last.
done your phone is rooted.
get rid of chinese Superuser
1. connect to wifi/net
2. downloa supersu from play store
3. open them the app will ask you to update bianeries. app will grant to self the root access that the app ask you to remove existing similar app. click yes and you have done.
you have rooted your Karbonn A1+.

shaume is not worked with this soft version : already tried.
Shuame worked for my mobile. I tried twice and worked both times. But I couldn't install recovery using shuame

Go to second page of this post, you will get tool+ CWM recovery.
Worked for me.

Try again by moving img file to root folder of sdcard. when you flash, and it dosent work, flash image again.

as per my experience with a1+ i came to know that this model need exact software version ROM please match the software version and hardware version than flash.
My phone versions are - h/w 1.0.0 and s/w 2.0.5
Can u Pls share some threads/links where I can get ROM for my phone.

What is your software version? this should not happen i have tried it on almost 14 sets and all are working fine till now.
sometime a normal reboot worked, but i guess u have already tested the same so,hard reset your phone with the help of android multitool or some similar thing. than post the result.:good:
ir i have a arise rowdy t1+ phone its board is sp6820gb_7620 and cpu id is 8810 cpu frequency is 1ghz and ram is 512mb with mali 300 gpu,
android version is 2.3.6 and kernal version is 2.6.35.7 [email protected] #7, software version is mocordroid2.3.6.w12.20_p20.01_20130715.130506, hardware version is 1.1.0. my problem is that my phone has only 128 mb of internal memory and when i tried to edit vold.fstab to swap its memory with memory card it stopped detecting sd card when turned on but when in recovery mode sd is shown present, i think its very similar to karbonn a1+ in hardware and software part so can you please help me with my phone?

I had already unlocked my phone bootloader and i extremely need to root my device
But according the tutorial of rooting this device i must install a custom recovery and install supersu zip to device here is 2 matter ... One that cwm recovery neither twrp havent install ... The error showing the cmd windows is failed too large size
I searched all of sites and tried to flash recovery by any tool like miracle crack and ... It resault dead my phone boot that for repair it i payed much money
