i m using lava iris 455 jellybean 4.1.2 powered by mt 6577 chipset 1ghz prcessor with 512 ram... i usually port roms from canvas 2 (micromax a110) n dey just work awesome...
but now m tryng to port the mackay rom 4.2.1 for my rom...
wen i flash the zip file wthout any changes...the phone boots (camera,wifi,bluetooth) dsnt work and messaging app gets stopped...
so after i ported d rom without changing

the phn boots up ...wifi n bluetooth works.. but filemanager gets force closed n camera dsnt work...wen i click on camera it shows "gallery stopped working" n gets closed weras the gallery gets open n work fyn. ..neither any apk gets installed..
and wen i replace the files mentioned above the phone gets stucked at splash screen...normally it didnt happend before wen i ported different roms from canvas 2...i even m using mackay rom v2 without any issues...but v3 giving problems
so please suggest me how can i get this things fixed...
You have to port Android 4.2 kernel to fix most of the problems...

Hey friends i have successfully ported a rom based on racer rom on my Karbonn A1 or Zte N721 or Zte Racer all have same specifications .the base ROM is racers ROM based on CM 7 . If i flashed it as it is it does not boot earlier. Then i used android kitchen porting tool . Now the rom the booting on my device but the issue is that My WiFi, Bluetooth and No service with sim. Idnt understand whats the problem is i guess it is dude to drivers but i dnt know how to change them.I need suggestions so that i can start working further .

so i ported a liquid smooth rom (4.4.2) from the galaxy ace 2 to my xperia u using this tutorial and novathor 4.4.2 as base ROM .. the rom sucessfully installed but it continues to play the boot animation forever and does not boot into the OS ..
i tried taking a logcat but it gives me an empty txt file :/
any idea as to why this happens and how i could fix this ?

As the title says i m looking to port KK roms for Xolo Q700S aka Cherry Mobile Flare S2
i have already ported VIBE UI n a AOSP Rom for the device which are KK base got HTC sense Emotion UI but they are too big n i aint no expert to resize them n i doubt i can
are there any other roms for 6582 which are KK based m looking or Samsung UI, LEWA OS, MIUI OS , AMOI UI, Xperia UI, Color OS
any of those i can get my hands on even if they are FHD pls guys

I have made a rom for micromax cabvas knight. I fact i have made two roms. 1 miui and one lewa.
I picked g4s lewa rom and miui kitkat rom and made necessary changes acccording to miui porting tutorial.
The problem is , it ports sucessfully but after boot logo screen goes blank.
i am sure its related to boot.img. i followed the boot.img unpack and repack to resolve bootloop problem. There is no boot loop but only blank screen.
Can someone help me.

​Bro u should try porting a rom which is based on mt6592.
If u want to port the lewa os try porting THL phone rom bcoz it has mt6592 processor not a gs4 rom coz it does not have Similar processor..and prashant is currently working on a miui v6 kitkat based rom so i think u should try porting a lewa os rom to canvas knight.
Hey!! In my MICROMAX CANVAS KNIGHT CAMEO A290 , I have flashed DECEPTION custom rom for lollipop version. But this ROM is working very slow and it is hanging very much. It takes much time to open or close any app. It is very very very slow. And i don't want to run kitkat. So plz suggest me best lollipop ROM for my device MICROMAX A290...PLZ REPLY FAST..
