hi, I got galaxy note 10.1 SHV-E230L tab.. which I got in 4.1.1 firmware and there was problem that always on screen one message screen is showing PDA version
Phone Version
CSE Version
H/W Rev 0.2
and some other Camera n/a
Front camera n/a
band unknown
channel unknown.
so the problem is when I check imei was 0000000000000000
but baseband was ok.
I can call even.. storage memory also showing 9.41 gb.
I flashed with odin 4.1.2 but the problem is still there.
if anybody can help me to only remove that annoying message from the screen that is enough for me..
otherwise if possible to repair imei , that is very helpful for me.

[Q] No Network in Galaxy GT I9300 After Odin flash

Hi Everyone,
I know there are a few thread around with the same purpose, but nothing helped me. I even did ping few members who claimed to have known the problem, to my bad, they are busy to reply me. So i thought i would start a new thread explaining my problem.
I got a new Galaxy GT I9300 Before 3months in Singapore, The shop is famous for selling smuggled phones, so i am not sure to which country mine belongs to. There was no network initially, so the shopkeeper offered his help, He gave the mobile to a nearby service centre and got it ready,
I am not sure what he did, but d phone had CWM and Super User. I already own a Galaxy S2 and i have done a lot of flashing Custom MOD's, So i wanted my Galaxy S3 to be original for a while. So i tried to restore by flashing a official firmware, To my surprise the phone didnt have any network in it after the ODIN flash. I tried an INDIAN firmware, then Singapore.
I tried CWM (which i am not a pro) but couldn get back the network. I went back to the service centre and he told some files are corrupted since i flashed the phone with official firmware.
He again flashed it, now the network works, voila ! I couldn figure out and he wouldn tel me. ****ing $40 !!! The phone had CWM and SuperUser installed in it again.
The phone had the following information after wat ever he did.
IMEI - 3531*********99 it is same in d board and in the phone information.
MODEL NUMBER - GTI9300
ANDROID VERSION - 4.0.4
BASEBAND VERSION - I9300DXLE9
KERNEL VERSION - 3.0.15-611327-USER SE [email protected] -71 #1SMP PREEMPT TUE MAY 22 21:54:17KST 2012
BUILD NUMBER - IMM76D.I9300XXALEF
NETWORK - SINGTEL
SERVICE STATE - IN SERVICE
MOBILE NETWORK STATE - DISCONNECTED
MY PHONE NUMBER - UNKNOWN
ERI VERSION - N/A
IMEI SV - 01
SERIAL NUMBER - 000000000000
DEVICE STATUS - MODIFIED
Can anyone please infer on what the service guy had done. so that i can update my phone to JB. I am sick and bored of the same firmware for over 4 months and i wanna change it. But i dont want to get struck in the same issue. Please help and advance thanks !
I am afraid you had bad luck
1. You should NEVER pay for stuff that does not work (and is not with original firmware).
2. You should also read this - it is almost certainly the same story (in your case SN 00000000 should also give a strong clue things are not what they should):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=34226179
3. Since whoever f***ed those things the first time on your phone did not make an efs image-backup you can never return to factory state!
4. You are basically stuck with a phone where you will have to apply a patched modem after each ROM upgrade.
when you say patched modem what do you mean.?
Patched modem ???
When u say patched modem, can u explain tat ? Is it possible to create one by ourself ?

A patched modem apparently is modem code that does not check all the stuff in the efs partition (for instance when SN is 00..00) - I am currently using the one posted by ariza somewhere around. Patching one might be quite complex and for the moment I did not have the time to research that. The only problem that I see is that certain providers are said to be using very unusual modem code (since they have unusual settings in their own network) - and in that case you need to use a patched version of that specific modem version - but so far I have not seen that happening in a very repeatable way in posts from european networks.
The other problem is that when you install any full ROM (for instance 4.1.2) that will overwrite your modem - so you will have to re-install the old patched modem (so far ariza_v04.zip seems to work OK with 4.1.2 on my operator's network).
Serial no 000000...
Thousands of Thanks man, I have been facing the same problem from last few days after flashing cwm6 and UltraRom. hi can you please suggest me an modem for Samsung Galaxy s3 I9300 Indian version.

[Q] Invalid IMEI on Chinese Galaxy S3?!

Hello guys!
I am new to this forum and to this problem too. I do not have much experience in "phones". Anyway here it is my problem. I have recently got a CHINESE Samsung Galaxy S3 from a friend because he complained he cannot use it due to the Invalid IMEI error. Yes, it is a clone at a price of around 150$. Besides the fact that the IMEI shows as INVALID , the phone is 90% like the real one. The 10% consists of the poorer display resolution and the fact that the AUDIO does not work while using the JB 4.1.1 OS. There is no hardware problem because this Chinese phone also has a separate OS for "tests"( where you can test if the features of the phone are working properly...i dont know if the original one has this "sub-OS" too. On this "Sub-OS" there also is a feature called "Version" where it shows the properties of the phone. However, when it comes to the IMEI it says UNKNOWN). Now when I enter the "About Phone" in JB 4.1.1 I get this information:
Model Number: GT-I9300
Android Version: 4.1.1
Baseband Version: I9300XXLEF
Kernel Version: 3.0.15-570657-user [email protected]#1 SMP PREEMPT Wed May 23 09:05:19 KST 2012
Build Number: IMM76D.I9300.ZSALED.9P017.6628
*** I don't know if this makes any sense but my PC found this Phone while USB Connected as Android mt65XX Phone
I Also tried that SUPERONECLICK program and tried ROOTING it. At the first attempt the program announced me that the OS has Already been Rooted ( Which I think it is normal since the phone is not original) I cannot use the POWER+HOME+Volume Down option ( Maybe because the phone is not original) so I cannot get into the DOWNLOAD Mode ( or smth like that)
What can I do to get a working IMEI so that i can make Phone calls. I live in Romania ( Europe ) and the phone recognises my SIM Operator ( Cosmote). So...any hope for my friend or he has to return his phone? :/ Thanks!
you won't have any support for it here, sell that piece of crap

What do you mean by that? The policy of the forum does not allow fake phones or you simply don't know how to do it?

[Q] how to recovery lost imei no Samsung Galaxy s2 gt-i9100?

i have Samsung Galaxy s2 gt-i9100(rooted) and suddenly my network signal was missing. and i dialed *#06# and display no imei and unknown baseband . so how to solve that problem?
gt-i9100
android version - 2.3.4
baseband - unknown
kernal version - 2.6.35.7-i9100xxkh3-cl479037 [email protected] #2
No EFS backup ? Try flashing some stock roms. If that doesn't work, service centre or local mobile repair shop; they have equipment to write the IMEI back to the device.
Yes sir i have i have tried to restore but it didnt work
neddinary
Sir give links to flash rom
plz
Samfirmware. No, I'm not going to give you a direct link; did your last slave die of overwork per chance ?
same problem
what firmwere should i download if it dosnt show up any baseband version????
Did anyone gotta solution?? :crying:
Try all the firmwares for your country/carrier (not 4.0.4 though, just in case you flash & forget then do a factory reset. If you've flashed a couple of those & your IMEI hasn't returned, it's fairly safe to say it isn't coming back; take it to a local mobile repair shop, many have the equipment to re-write the IMEI to the device fairly cheaply.
Did you manage to sort this? I was asked to look at a friends S2 which was showing no IMEI number, and I managed to sort it....
^^^
Spill the beans then; what did you do to fix it ?

Ah.... this fone was completely stock, still running Gingerbread 2. whatever!!
So.... all using Odin....
I updated-no joy
I rooted-no joy
I flashed newer custom ROM-no joy
Then, I tried flashing Stock 4.1.2, and away it went!!
IMEI number replaced, fone now working, friend well impressed!!
The files are I9100XWLSW_I9100XXMS2_I9100XEULS5_HOME.tar.md5
I'm not sure how to post a link (perhaps someone could show), I got them from YouTube, but have them if anybody needs them.
But if you Google for that, and you're on UK S2 I9100, you should be fine!!
Hope this helps some people, please bear in mind the usual : "I cannot be held responsible for any damage caused...."

Unlocked T-mobile SM-G900F Network problems

Hello Everyone,
I've tried searching for this issue in the forum, but nothing was close to what I was experiencing.
I have come across a used T-mobile galaxy s5 here in my country (Morocco), It's unlocked, but I don't know what kind of flashing operations this phone has undergone before falling into my hands.
The main issue is that the network connection is unstable, it drops every 15 minutes or so, and when I try to make calls I get the error message '' not registred to network "
The IMEI Number seems good, I'm running a stock t-mobile Rom (with all the software, and the t-mobile logo on boot) and I've update my firmware with samsung Kies. The issue is still there.
My main interrogation is what do I try now to make it work, it seems to me that the baseband needs to be patched or something like this to work with our local carrier (Itssalat al Maghrib) but I'm open to all of your suggestions.
Thank you very much for your help and time.

Your phone is not Genuine is a clone because that imei is registred in database like Galaxy Grand Max G720AX.
That's probably why you cant flash firmware for Original phone!
Upload photos on the net like https://imgur.com/upload and send me link in private message

Firts imei 357557/06/483373/1 which you have post is not the same like you said :
This imei is Right 352564/07/6980787
But your S/N S/N:R58G30EA7PA someone has marked as stolen or is wrong S/N.
But the thinks is that probably or your back glass is replaced or mainbord or your imei someone changed ...
Firmware for second imei is this one :

Make sure your batterry is more than 70 % and use Latest Version of odin .

thanks for your replies i will try that rom maybe its going to work

Solved
i fixed my s6 edge sm-g925f and im sure this method will work for any device> The only problem is that you're not flashing the latest firmware, do you? yeah maybe you do but not the latest one what i mean then? let me tell you.. even if your previous firmware was example/ android 7.0 and installing 7.0 will fail why? answer: you need to go to sammobile [for example if your device is Samsung becasue sammobile is the best for samsung firmwares just make sure to download the firmware from there if your device is samsung } and check the date of firmware like the latest firmware location doesnt matter just downoad the latest one, you know what i mean right? for example you need android 7.0 you dont just have to download any 7.0 firmware, thats wrong you have to check the date of firmware and download the latest 7.0 firmware, thats it and i hope you fix your device asap cuz i know the feeling thanks for reading this and good luck !
