From my knowledge i9305 does not have the fm radio hardware. So the app is useless.

You didn't give them the appropriate permissions
rw-r--r--
and change ownership to root and root

On the phone you can use a root file explorer app(available in the market) and go to system then apps and change the permissions to what he says above.

fm radio apk

Can someone post the Samsung radio.apk file I want to see if it would work on the cm9 rom
Here you go...
It says "Aplication not installed". Does anyone know how to fix this?
You have to push it to /system/app/, set permissions rw-r--r--, and reboot.

It most likely won't work with cm9, since it's way different from GB.

So then, is it possible to use any sort of FM app here on CM9? Because I can't get Spirit to work, and not all my local stations are on Tune-In

I did it, but how can I run the application? I reboot it but I cant see any shorcut or something like that
For ICS and later versions, please use spirit fm here:

Using rom toolbox. Accidetally hit uninstall instead of advanced freeze
maybe you just disabled it. go to settings > applications > all > video player > enable

Use root explorer to move the apk to system/app folder and that'll do the trick.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
Hmm still a no go. I have a sprint gs3. I wonder if thats the issue?
You meed root to move it to system/app folder, is it rooted?
If its rooted then in root explorer mount as r/w using the button at the top and then paste it in to the system/app folder.
If it successfully pastes in there you should be fine.
You don't need to install and anyway it won't let you, it'll keep saying not installed but since it is in system/app folder that doesn't matter.
Just reboot after you move it to the folder.

The issue is that you also need the .odex file, i had the same thing with sms (secmms. apk + odex)
I made a zip with the maps system\app\ and the 2 files. You can install it using recovery mode.

Boot up sounds not working.

Hi guys.
Need some help, using root explorer pro I have put an mp3 file into store/media/ui named 'PowerOn.ogg'
However it doesn't play when I start my phone up !
I had this problem before and I fixed it (somehow) but I cannot remember exactly what I did, now since flashing a new ROM I encountered the problem again.
What can I do? thanks.
I am running Omega v6 with whatever Kernel came with it.
WHile I am here also, is there anyway to get the lockscreen off Jellybean 4.1.2 onto Jellybean 4.2.2 that I am currently running?
I miss my ripple effect

Convert the file to .ogg and paste it into the folder again. Should work.
For the next time, questions go to Q&A section, not General.
