Hi guyz, im using a stock JB rom, but i dont like JB lock screen and i would like to have ICS lock back, i mean lock screen with slider... How can I have it back? Pls dont say "use go locker" or "install ICS ROM".

You can use the UxpNxtLockscreen.apk of any stock rom. You just need to replace the one of the rom you have

I don't own an Xperia U (I have WT19i) but it is not that easy, just replacing the file as the other guy said doesn't work. A lot of it is to do with the framework you most probably will have to fiddle around there (which I found complicated). Sorry that this doesn't solve your problem but it's a step in the right direction :good: .

LWW is a lot different... In stock roms in XU you don't need to modify framework or other files... The magic is in that apk I've said... Without that apk, we will only have AOSP lockscreen. If I follow your logic, I woudn't be able to use this:

Like I said I don't own a U so don't know an awful lot but am very sure that the framework plays a part in the lock screen to an extent.

No ICS to JB MODs in the MODs thread?
It's probably not trivial, Install the ICS and take logcat since boot right after you may get a lead.

Just posting it for all the new people that didnt know. I havent seen it mentioned yet in the threads. We used to do this to get back to the original android slide to unlock screen. Turns out it still works.
Use what ever app you chose, I use Root Explorer. Navigate to /system/app and rename htclockscreen.apk to htclockscreen.bak.
Then reboot for changes to take effect.
Changing apk to bak is preferred over deleting in case you want the lockscreen back all you have to do is rename.
moving the unlock icon over to the camera does not work. So you can only unlock.

Correct. Doing this on a GB ROM will get you the stock AOSP sliders though.

I just made this change on my GB based ROM and it worked great. My last phone was a Nexus One so I miss the stock Android experience. Thanks for the tip.
Just an FYI to everyone, you will need to unlock your phone before answering calls. This is the only real draw-back to removing the htc lockscreen. If you set up a pin/facelock/pattern this will be really annoying, if not, it's only a matter of sliding the lock to the right =)

Since it's part of the O/S rather than an installed app, it can't be pulled out. It can probably be duplicated by someone that knows how to create lockscreens.

This MOD was in a REAL CUSTOM ROM R5.1 ICS but I have no idea whether it will run on STOCK ROM, as some stock applications do not work to me at the ROM.
Download the package REAL ICS r5, extract:
settings.apk
and replace this in /system /app
I use ICS R5.1 REAL the small cosmetic changes, and it looks great

i tried replaced settings.apk from many Roms witch has this theme but icon in app drawer was lost and after restart bootlop.

I am searchin for somebody who will be so kind to uploads yaffey's APKs because I am not able to extract APKs myself on my laptop. I tried another PC but same problem (look at attachment please).
I have "cm-7.2.0-mango" on my Sk17i. I need to extract APKs files for stock GB Camera apk and stock GB SW keyboard apk. Stock rom is "Xperia MiniPro (SK17i)_4.0.2.A.0.42_HU.ftf" which one you can find HERE.
Please, will be any1 SO KIND to do this for me?
Additional question is if there is possibility to use in "cm-7.2.0-mango" stock ICS Camera apk? I have had ICS and I liked new stock ICS Camera more than stock Camera in GB ... I think it should be texinput-tng.apk, camera I don't know...
Make a nandroid backup or backups of the files you delete/overwrite to revert back if it doesn't work

Then just paste it there and fix permissions like in the screenshot. Reboot and it should be done

yep i did it exacly like in screenshot.. currently usin "cm-7.2.0-mango". instalation incomplete. still same problem. i need at least stock sw keyboard. btw HW keyboard in "cm-7.2.0-mango" do not suport "SYM" button.. do you know how to fix it? thx

No, tried cm7 myself and I don't know if it's possible to fix, maybe it's normal that it doesn't work.
Normally it is the textinput-tng.apk, otherwise I don't know, sorry
Firstly just for my ROM. Now corrected with clean modifications for CM10 of Xperia Arc. Everything works, just flash with CWM. Have fun.

cant u just post a tutorial so that everybody can do it on their own without posting here

Tried installing it on the latest AOKP for the Arc, didn't work got a bootloop. Oh well that was what I expected since it's for cm10 ;P
