Got one sent to me for free along with the Note 3. I know most reviews weren't that great for it, but I like it so far. If you havent tried it already, the Watch Styler app is pretty nice: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2473558.
Install the app to your phone and create your own watch faces.

Since the anticipation of getting my galaxy note I've already noticed a few instances where I would LOVE to have one already. In general, I have this habit of writing random crap down on paper, and folding the paper up, putting it in my pocket, and losing it later. I'm a pack rat, so if I don't lose them, the papers just build up, even though I don't read them. It would be so handy to just have them all stored in my phone.
I'm looking for some specific examples here. I think this would be kind of fun to talk about.
Specific examples for me:
-while watching youtube videos about Starcraft strategy, I would want to write down the build order on the note, then alt tab into the game and try it out, references what I wrote on the note.
-Quickly writing down my schedule at work, so that I can program it into my phone later when I have time.
-writing down what my coworkers want me to go order for them at random restaurant i go to
I hope that I find myself in tons of situations where I have to use the pen. Only one I can think of is to pass time at work drawing random pictures.
Using the s-pen to take notes while on conference/speaker phone call . I think that will be handy.
Also I understand smemo (?) can be synced with evernote of which I'm a big user.

If you get the format down, you can send your handwritten note directly to you s planner (google calendar)
Also when getting a PDF or document, you can take a screen shot, sign or mark up the document and send back. Very convenient.
You can also do a voice recording for a note, handy when driving.

I have started a channel on youtube for video game related content. Deliberately being a jerk in online gameplay. Example: running up behind someone on Call of Duty and kill them in some humiliating fashion. I play a lot of games in a night, and having my phone nearby to jot down what map, date and what it is I did would help a lot.
I could do the same with a notebook and pen, but come on... S pen. ;-)

Not sure why Verizon doesn't include earbuds, so I picked some up for cheap on eBay. They come with the Note 2 in Asia at the very least. The are white and have a cool volume control built in. They are nice!
The controls also have another button that when you push it will open some sort of Google voice search. For a test I said "cowboys". You can see the results in the attached screenshot. It will also say the results out loud, e.g. "The Dallas Cowboys lost to the Washington Redskins...".
My question is this: how do I activate this search without having the earbuds plugged in? Thanks.

Press and hold the home button then select "Google"

Thank you! I knew about Google Now, but this looked different. But when I then click the microphone, it's the same thing. Thanks again!

The one that opens up from the mic button is a direct link to Google Search which opens up waiting for your voice input. Same program, different locations

Long press the menu button. It launches Google Now.

That is what came with my note2. They actually sound decent especially if position them properly the bass comes alive. I would be happy if I paid $20 for those. I would be miserable if I paid any money for beats. Beats are OK if you like bass, but honestly they just ruin music in general. There are plenty of good ear and headphones that will play all the way across the music scale for less than $100.

Bc vzw doesnt care about what the customers want. It saved them a buck or two on each phone by leaving them out. They left out the wireless charging capabilities as well and lock us with bloat. And don't allow Google wallet and try to force isis on us. And let's not forget the locked bootloader. Thanks vzw.

Used to be a great Craigslist app. Notified you when something matched one of your searches. Seems the developer is no more or isn't developing. I still use it as it's the best app out there. Problem now is that it only displays pictures. No text. Wondering if any devs know anything or if anyone knows of a good alternative.
Thanks!
Don't know of an app but ifttt.com can send you emails of all new matches for your searches. I've used it many times, works really well.

This appears to be the same app;

This is my favorite app. I've found almost everything I've wanted on here. Including my husband's brand New Note 2 Christmas gift.

It is the same app. But the text in the ads doesn't show up anymore. Before it had both pictures and text. Love it still, but it's a pain. Ha.
Yeah, or it'll show sum Txt, but not all. I've trained hubby to just click on the peace sign to go directly to the online ad. It's the notification that matters. So, we have to work around it, I guess....

Yeah. It's still the best one out there. Just wish I knew a dev who could take a peek at it. I can't imagine it would be too hard to get the text to pull.

The whole iOS is boring doesn't mean to much to me anymore I don't really mess with my phone besides rom updates. I was curious about the battery life.

I had an Evo 4G. Was curious about the iPhone so I got an iPhone 4. It was cute for a while. Then it's charm wore off quick and it just became dull and boring. I sold it and got an Evo 4G LTE. I soon after discovered the Galaxy S3 and fell in love with Android all over again.

Had a iPhone 4 (jailbroken), switched to GNexus and was surprised how good the phone was besides the battery life (and thats lol when u compare the Gnex to the Note 2) .. I could do a lot more things on the GNex then the iPhone 4.
Once I switched to the Note 2, it wasn't even close.
Don't go full retard imo
I'm glad I'm getting some opinions that aren't blatant fanboys. I was playing with one and don't think I could do it. Not to mention iPhone guys who wanna trade want money on my side (I have over $200 in accessories for my phone already)

My friend just recently switched from the 4s. He has been am iPhone fanboy, even though he claims he wasn't a fanboy, ever since he got his first iPod and iPhone. He just got sick and tired of Apples little walled in garden with the iPhone even when jailbroken. He saw my Note 2, played with it for a couple weeks and then made the switch. He is absolutely in love with hos Note 2 and says there is no way in hell he will EVER go back to an iPhone!
The only thing he dislikes is there is no way to sync his iTunes music, playlists, pictures, and videos. He was using Kies but since he flashed Vanilla Rootbox, which he has been on since the 3rd day he had his phone, he cant find any app for syncing his music tjat works with a USB cord.

There are certainly more (and a lot of times better) accessories for an iDevice; play music thru the media cable, earphone/headphone buttons auto detect the device, more choices when it comes to cases etc

He is currently using iSyncr but the problem he is running into with it is that it doesn't sync any metadata, like how many times a song had been played and all that good stuff.

My wife had an iphone 5 and she thought she would love it because she likes her ipad so much but right away she noticed that she can't see it too well because of the small screen. So she traded it for the note 2 and loves it way, way, way more because of the size. She says it was a great trade.

I went from a 4s to the N2. I have no regrets, and I thoroughly enjoy this phone.
Hello, I currently run with my Garmin (GPS) watch, a nano and no phone because the Note 3 is too big. I want to just run with one watch that will be able to track my results and sync to mgt phone when I get back to the car.
A camera should be a huge plus as well.
Thanks in advance.

You do not want a Gear Fit.
Rumors all over the web says in 2 months Samsung may have stand alone watch, maybe ideal.
I think there is stand alone watch now, not available in Canada so I do not know much about it.
Two words... battery life.
FYI.
I can scream, at everybody that says a Note 3 is too big, for me is is just right.
I do not put $750 devices is my pockets, I have a pouch and I love the device.
I'll keep a lookout for the standalone watch. Thanks Astrodigital
