hello, im using P756 with P760 20h eur ver
My battery seems to be draining very fast, only 6 hours of using, and less than 8 hours standby time with 3g.
And if i drained my battery to 0%,i cant charge my phone at all, i have to unplug the battery and try to turn on the phone with 0% battery. and even i did turn off my phone on purpose, if i plug the powerm the phone will turn on, but doesn't go to the "charging mode".
apps.. only instagram twitter and such..
can anybody help? is it battery problem or system problem?
thx before
Hmm. Try downloading Deep Sleep Battery Saver along with Greenify. Those should save you. Remember to turn off Wi-Fi, Data, and GPS when not in use

Hmm. That sounds like a problem. In all honesty, I don't know. Lol. Reflashing the KDZ would work definitely, but idk if that's necessary.

Because it works bothway before.
Like the guide said about flashing L9.
And my problem happened after i used powet bank to charge my phone.
Is it a battery problem? Or a system problem?

Power bank cant create these kind of problem...
Just flash p765 v20c and wipe everything it will work fine...
And about flashing or rooting everything works fine on p765 rom dont need p760 rom for flashing or anything else..
If u do minimal customisation just flash stock and it will be good to go...

Just now 100% charging is completed and got the Beep but after unplugging the charger it showed 96% this is the 5th time I am getting like this..Any idea how to fix it? thought it is FW bug and changed to KI8 from KI3 still same
EDIT: Now I am rooted and did wipe battery stats still same problem
Do you have CWM? My battery went mad two days ago. All I needed to do was clearing the battery stats via CWM.

Even more interesting. If you phone freezes and you need to do a cold reboot (hold power until reboot) the battery level can drop like 20 or even up to 50% at a time. (it then slowly increases by itself).

Helped increase my battery life, others with the same problem as you said it worked too, good luck!

I don't know if the stock recovery has this option, so you should check it. If it doesn't, you could consider rooting your phone.
It worked for me, after my battery went crazy. It dropped from 100% down to 86% in 5 seconds. And when I checked the stats in the menu, I saw three lines if which one made an upside down looping. The first moment I was like "wtf?".
But if you don't want to, you should go have your phone repaired/replaced.

Ón my side it worked only with this steps:
1. Charge over night
2. run the app battery calibrator
3. unplug charger
4. drain battery all the way down till it shuts off
In this way yout phone can remember what is 100 % and what is 0%
PS: You need root permissions
I have asked Samsung Support on twitter about my problem they said: The device is fully charged, however, this is done to prevent overcharging which stresses the battery.

Hi all,
I am using ics standard firmware 6.1.A.2.45 with advanced stock kernel build 14 but it seems my phone is not deep sleeping, I lost about 20% battery over night, see screenshot attached, I had power saver mode on with everything switched off. Shouldn't phone idle % be higher?
Anyone have any suggestions please on how to fix this?
Thanks for any help.

Hey turn off internet connection if on or just check there might be apps that are running in the background.
Just go to Settings-->Apps-->Running
There u can see all the apps that are running and close all the unnecessary applications.
I hope this might work for you.
Theres no such problem wid my XPS.
5-8% drainage of battery overnight is normal.
My XPS ate about 3-5% battery in 7hrs last night.
Not a problem with mine.. Did a clean install, wiped everything and then did a hard reset.. Mine drains 1% mostly overnight, and rarely 2%..
Try a factory reset, or re-flash wiping everything..:good:
P.S : it's offline during those 6-7 hours
Some says that disabling "com.sonyericsson.android.wakeup" can help saving little bit of battery. I just frozen it and will see if there is any improvement. I have this issue too in my XS, it never enter sleep mode even with everything off (connectivity, screen, sync, etc). Markus on Sony forum said that they're working on it...
Brand New LT30p Tap-A-Talked
Just to make sure.
Use CPU spy app to check if your phone goes to. Deep sleep.

I googled a lot before posting in here, tried many things but none worked.
This started happening around 2 months ago. I installed a battery calibration application from Play Store. After installing it, in place of making my battery better, it destroyed it.
Now my battery lasts about 6-7 hours with hardly using it (but wifi or 3g on all the time). When I depart at 7:30 to go to school, it is 100%, and at 13:00 my phone turns off.
I thought it was a problem of calibration, and i don't really know if that works. Tried many other apps. None worked.
Tried installing cwm and wiping battery stats at 100%. Didn't work.
Tried repairing with PC Companion or SUS. Nope
I bought a new battery 3 days ago, because thought that the problem was the battery and not the calibration anymore. Didn't work! My battery barely lasts 7 hours, when before it lasted a full day.
Tried factory reset. As you can guess Didn't work :crying:
Then I thought maybe the time has come to reinstall original rom once more. I did that yesterday. Installed from the beginning and rooted my phone, and formatted sdcard. Installed this systemUI too http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1762162 .
Thought that the problem would be resolved. But no. Today the battery dropped from 30% to 1% and turned off.
This is driving me crazy. What to do?
Have you ever heard of this problem? Anyone got the solution?

Ok so here are the new battery stats. 6 pictures...
Now that I am charging the phone notuced that the battery went from 6 or 7% to 17%.
Surprisingly, this time the battery didn't drop from 30% to 1%. It dropped from number to number.
This makes me think that this phone is timed to power off. So in average using it drops normally the numbers but, when I don't use it or hardly use it, it drops, like it should power off.
I know this is stupid right!
It is WEIRD!
IT IS KILLING ME!

You can buy a new phone. (just kidding). Try this: Add this two lines (ro.ril.disable.power.collapse=0) & (pm.sleep_mode=1) to the end of your build.prop. If you don't know how to edit the build.prop you can learn here.
You installed new rom when this start? If yes try stock or some where you dont see that problem anyway this is nothing to do with battery stats. Every time when you charge phone above 90% then android make wipe battery stats automaticaly and even this havent nothing to do with %.
Sent from my ST15i using xda app-developers app
Ok I'll certainly try adding the two lines.

Try cycling your battery (fully drain then fully charge several times) and if you're rooted try calibrating it using an app from the Play store.

I had the same issue and its not the phone it is the rom version 4.2.2
I believe even s4 users are reporting the same.
My advice till google fix this is to disable sync when it is not needed as it looks like google service is the reason for this issue
Alternatively, try to install wakelock detector from google play. Look into cpu wakelocks and see what is occuping much time.
My phone got a very serious battery drain out problem.
The battery shows 10)% after surf internet a few minute it show 0% and close. Sometime after I charge it to 100% then it restarted the phone itself then battery show 0%. Guess what in safe mode everything works fine. No abnormal drain out appear. I google how to fix (install powersaving or battery doctor and even reset factory) but nothing work.
guys please help...ASAP.
Thank in advance.

so you change your battery and it works fine?
If it works in Safe Mode, then it is an app or setting that you have enabled. The whole point of Safe Mode is to only run apps that are preinstalled on the phone.
