[Q] Highest rated screen protector in your opinion

I haven't been much of a fan of screen protectors in the past.. but iv become quite attached with my SIII that im thinking it may be a good idea to get one for once.
So my question to you guys is from your experience what has been the screen protector you have used in the past which was most effective, not only preventing scratches, but screen clarity & preventing finger prints.
XtremeGuard & a few other protectors has had some bad reviews as per the topic in the accessories area. So whats been your experience ?
Cheers

Just them using a generic stock image for now. I'm sure it will change once the final design of the screen protector is finished.
Jesus $34.95 for a screen protector? Hopefully it comes with a midget to apply it for me perfectly, I would just mess up the application like I always do with screen protectors.
I'm flexible on the included midget, I'll also accept an attractive woman to apply it perfectly.
Sent back Otterbox Alpha glass
I bought the Otterbox Alpha Glass for Nexus 6 from Amazon for, like, $1000 (okay, it was closer to $37). I didn't like it because it didn't seem to stick on either short edge and parts of the long ends of the phone. I figured it was just me. I asked to have it exchanged. Then I watched someone on Youtube install his, and he ran into the exact same problem. So I think I will just get a refund and then... I don't know. I've already tried the expensive plastic one from Zagg with no luck.

Film protector from Ultimate Shield (review/opinion) with pics

Hi all, been using OP phones for a while now, and since the 3, it has been really impossible to find a good glass screen protector worth the money, as we all well know.
I have then gave up on them and have decided to try a film type, since I take good care of my phones and really never drop them.
So I usually don't take the time to write about that, but really I feel like I should say good things about this one brand (first time using those "wet application" protectors, so the same may apply to other brands, I'm just happy with this one on first try).
First, they do free shipping anywhere in the world. The protector and small accessories come in a simple hard back enveloppe. I think that's good for us, as well as smart.
Second, and linked to the first point, they have a good customer support. My problem was that when entering my shipping address, I could not select Hong Kong as a "country". So I emailed them asking about this, and within a few hours, I had a nice reply and the customer rep had activated HK in the drop down.
Then the product itself.
It is not too hard to apply, really. Follow the steps and you'll be good. They recommand to wait 8-12 hours to turn on the phone again, but I need my phone as an alarm clock, so I waited like 2 hours and all is well. All in all, doing it in the evening, it took maybe 30 mins to install (with waiting to dry up a bit).
The film sticks well, even on the edges of the screen, and it is hard to tell it is there (well, under low angle light, you can notice a very slight "orange peel" effect). On the other hand, touch feeling is really as if there was nothing there.
I tested with the slim official OnePlus cases, as well as the official carbon bumper case, and no problem to notice at all. I also have a Spigen case, but I don't dare trying it, it looks like it "crawls" up a bit much on the edges of the screen. I expect that any slim cases, or those that are not too tight on the edges won't be a problem.
I also ordered one for my wife's S8+, and have installed it as well. Will post pictures this evening when she gets home and I can use her phone for pictures, so you can see how it looks. (for her, I took a full body coverage, and I'll post some pictures of that, so you can see how it goes, and how it looks on different phones).
So all in all, I liked the company attitude, the price (8 GBP for my screen only coverage for OP5, and 12 GBP for S8+), free delivery and of course the product itself.
Let me know if you have questions, I know I personnaly am always looking for info before trying those protectors. God knows I've wasted enough money on many useless ones :crying:
Edit :
have added pics so you can see how it looks (the slight orange peel effect), and also how it goes really fully to the edges
Woow it looks really good!

It does, yes.
I've been using that for a few days now and it's really hard to tell it's there.
Also something I noticed with usage is that it's very fingerprint resistant. Maybe better than the naked screen in that respect.
Can't really comment on long term durability but at least it's very good at the moment.
Having a discount of 25% today i took the risk and ordered it
Oh cool, hope it'll work for you as well as it does for me
I have a spigen case too, you sure you don't want to try it ahah?
is it like rhinoshield or is it like screen protector for scratching?
I say about this: https://www.ultimateshield.co.uk/co...cts/oneplus-5-invisible-film-screen-protector
Thank you!

Nice! Thank you I'll see to buy this screen protector, nillkin's one is really too small, cutting the screen is annoying :crying:

It's very exact fit lol, so the protector must be very well aligned. But the protector is so thin that it just stays under the lips of the case.

I personnaly have the rugged armor
Can't say about that one!
I ordered it long time ago. Haven't tried it yet. I have nilkin glass now. Since I want to protect whole screen and I have a otterbox case... I will apply film soon. Fingers crossed
Ordered one today, got tired of every single tempered glass protector that has adhesive only on the sides and lets the dust go under the screen.. Let's hope this is as good as advertised!
Yeah, let us know if it works well for you guys too
Ordered! Waiting on shipment
Mine arrived, pretty simple package but it made its way to Hamburg Germany without problems
Will apply it when in clean surrounding ;p

where to buy original screen protector.

Hi all, I'm asking if anyone has found a place where is possible to get the original screen protector that comes with the phone and already applied.
This is why I'm tired to waste so much money in trying screen protections the doesn't fit the device. The only one working perfectly, was the original, applied by huawei.
Please help.
I don't care glass protections, but at last plastic one is OK for me.
I think that I need only to know where to buy the original huawei screen protector, as I've asked above. No other types, not similar ones. Only exactly the same.
It's not the best, but it works well for me. So I need help in finding the original one. Thanks who can help me .

Had a search and couldn't find it..
Honesty it's not a great protector at all and there are a great many out there which surpass it.
Ive got a 9h tempered which is superb.
My original lifted at the top as did many others, is yours in perfect condition?

hmm tried several protectors, both film plastic and glass, NONE of them held up for more than a week, the expensive glass ones were the wost... edges seem to let go of the screen... only one that held op longer was the original one, so im kinda also looking for a replacement for it ...

I've got the £11.99 one from this page and it's fantastic.
https://www.ultimateshield.co.uk/search?q=P20 pro
Complete coverage, fitting went perfectly and it's tough.
No rainbow, no real glare and the glass is very very clear. Plus it's 9H so it'll take a pretty beefy knock..
The only concern I would have is whatever case you have, if the lip is obtrusive or onto the screen then it may lift.
PS: the stock one is awful pal, there are no iffs or buts about it, it lifts, it scratches and it won't take a knock?

About your "only" concern, is a pain. So the reason why I want only the original screen protector.
And please, this thread is for finding the original screen protector, not to have advice on other "fantastic" brand, or model: there are already other thread open about recommending screen protectors.
Please don't be OT

Contact Huawei directly, there are others out there but I've literally no effort left to convince you otherwise. OT?
Pftt
Good luck.
PS:. Doesn't really matter now but I have the SP I posted and i have a ringke case on which is very tough and it's fine.
Anyway, each to their own..personally I don't think it exists, primarily because it's crap.
Yes, is crap : but a working crap
