Xperia Mini Pro touchscreen hardware problem - Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Xperia Pro, A

Hello everyone! The screen of my phone has a crack, now the right side and the top side part of the screen is not responding. I have a question, if I take it to a repair center will they changed the flex that connects it to the keyboard or they will just replace the screen and how much will it cost? Thank you!

repair center replace touchpad+display which cost 4k
if screen is working and touch pad is dead, you can get a touchpad for 1100 rs from whole sale shops

Can you change the touchpad only? Because I think it is attached to the digitizer. The Display was working perfectly just the touch has a problem.

Really.......That's not good, get it sent off or try fitting a new one off ebay.
I had a very similar issue with my old HTC Hero, it turned out that the digitizer (touch screen) was broken. ( started more or less like yours but eventually the whole bottom part of the screen didn't work) I was wayyyy off my guarantee so I bought a cheap digitizer off eBay and did a home reparation, worked very well for me :-D
So yeah just send it in for repairs and you'll be just fine

Letter P isn't working

The far right edge of my touch screen isnt responding to my touch. I've called a few places looking to repair it and have been quoted $80-90. Is this a sign of a digitizer which shouldnt cost $90 to fix or the LCD display?
Is it just the keyboard or every app doesn't respond on that part of the screen?

Its that part of the screen. The far right side/edge of my screen isnt responsive. So digitizer or LCD? I can type the letter P in landscape only.
digitizer. Screen is just a display, digitizer recognizes any/all touch input.
Try this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1301723
Didnt work for me, but it might just work for you.
Thanks. Maybe I'll replace the digitizer myself. How hard can it be?

Maybe some more details to sort it:
- did the rom boot normal
- "down left corner" of what, the button or the touch display
- if you boot into bootloader or recovery, then is it ok, is the power button working, is the touch screen functional in touch recovery?
it's no the rom problem,in the corner where is het home" soft button
if I reboot to bootloader it's working if I press hard the corner, and the touch screen is workig fine in touch recovery

You can find lots of videos on youtube. My guess is you'll need a new screen if it's the cable. If it's the connector on the motherboard you'll probably need a new phone ?
wow,it's not a chance tobrepair this old?

You need to be very skilled to solder parts that small and not destroy anything. Anyway, it's cheaper to buy another used phone than to replace screen or motherboard than replacing anything with new parts. And if you buy another phone you still have spare parts you can use if needed or sell them to get some of your money back

Help! Did I screw up my phone?

Hi could somebody tell me if I screwed up my screen repair? This was stuck on the phone and then I tried to get all the glass off of it but I don't know what the cable does. I bought the screen lens off of eBay but does this now mean that I've screwed my lcd digitiser now?!

Those are the lights for the bottom soft keys. I suggest you find a YouTube video on how to proceed before you go any further.

Blurry screen after replacing lcd

Repaired my cracked lcd on Xperia z2. Worked perfectly at first but the more I use it the screen becomes more blurry (guessing this is something to do with heat) Starting with pictures but then starting with text.
I bought the screen from China (cud be my mistake)
Anyway to sort this or am I missing something.
If it is the quality of screen is there anyway to lower my resolution so I can use it till I get a replacement.
Thanks for any help

It's probably LCD fault. I don't know how would lower resolution help you, if the screen get blurry. You can try with changing DPI in build.prop file.
Ah rite. Thank you. I think it is the lcd itself.
U say change the DPI
What is this and what would I be changing. I.e (numerical value lowered). Not as clued up on system files I'm afraid but I am learning.

Found out the screen is 380x640 instead of 1080x1980. Really annoyed but hey my fault entirely.
Anybody reading this have a reliable source for buying lcd screens

yup, I second that, the lcd flex connector is possibly the cause
