Guys I need help
I installed omega rom v49 which is based on android 4.1.2 just to give it a try. But when I reinstalled another rom my network/sim not recognized.
It says emergency calls only.. I tried following things but still no result
- format sd card
- seperately installed boffela kernal and modem
- installed avatar rom based on 4.3
Now my network only works only if I install the original omega rom
I really want to sort this out..please help

Have you backed up your EFS folder unlikely .

Appreciate your help and was so freaked out..
I was not aware of the change made by samsung..guess I cannot return to some of my favourite roms.

You can use any rom. Please read:
General > sticky roll-up thread > "IMEI / EFS - know this stuff"

hello
i have red many guides researched alot.
so i have the efs backup of my s3. when on 4.1.2 stock rom my iei is working fine but the problem is there is no network. but when i flash 4.1.1 stock rom i get my imei as 0049 , i dont why that happens
its a bit confusing i hope someone can help as i have my efs backed up
all i want is network for now and i did try ariza patch but when i try that on 4.1.2 rom i get my imei as null . and when trying on 4.1.1 i get y imei as 0049 .

Please go to:

Hi,
I have flashed rom s4 revolution rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2311671
and checked to flash new modem, now i dont have network, calls, sms, 3g don't work.
restored old my rom (cm10.2) updated nothing works. Maybe someone can tell me what modem i should install?

I have installed a custom rom (Revolution s4 v5.0) and everything worked great . But when I tried to send a message and make a phone call , there was a message that said there is no service . Any solutions to the problem ? Please help if you can . Is there any problem with the IMEI ? Can i fix it from just installing the original stock rom , or i have to get the phone to a phone service to fix it ?

Thread closed. Duplicate thread, a simple search is all that was needed
I have galaxy s3 I9300 and I have flash android revolution hd 29.0 on him , when its was finish my phone was Not Registered on Network
and my serial number was 00000000000.
to solved this problem I install BusyBox and then I install ariza patch, after the reboot I discovered that my sim isnt recognaize.
please I realy need help
This is the wrong forum you have I9100 .
Please if you actually do have I9300 problem then read the faqs and guides your problem is posted multiple times .

I have a I9300 what a stupid mistake I will edit the post.
and I read these guide before I post, nothing help me.

I burn a modem and now the sim is recognaize, but my serial numbe is back to 00000000000.
and if I use ariza its back to no sim, are there somthing else I can do??? a patch other than ariza???

hello guys..
i was trying to change custom rom and my imei number changed itself...
now phone can search network but when try to connect i get error " cant connect now plz try later ".
when i checked imei number its different in phone...
plz suggest me how to recover...
