Hello! I want to replace the body of my i9100, but I want to know if there is some risks, I saw some videos on youtube, and I realize that I need to remove the screen of the body, removing the "glue" or something like that. What is your opinion?
Full housing bought:

Thanks
Having some scratches & cracks here and there doesn't mean you should replace the housing.
And yes there are risks especially with the screen which can break easily or the it's ribbon getting damaged.
Also even if you safely de-attach the screen, are you 100% sure you can attach the screen to the new case housing perfectly?
Also did you purchase the right adhesive tape to attach the screen?
Here some adhesive tapes:

Not 'risky', but I'd do that when/if I'll break the screen.

i need to do a replacement housing on my white hero.... want to change it to pink.... is it hard to do ? all i need is like changing front cover.... how to do ?
It's not so hard to do, but you need to remove the touch windows from the front cover. the glass is glued and you have to heat it to soften the glue.
you can find many video on youtube
Where have you find the housing?

The housing in the link is OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer), i think the quality it's the same of the original one.
If you see the picture, all the black part in the front pannel, is the glue.
so i dont need to glue it ? =/

so do i need to buy glue ? XD or does the housing include ?XD how big chance will i break the touchscreen ? is it safe to use the oven or hairdryer ?
its not glue exactly. its a double sided sticky tape which is already attached to the housing.
when you remove the glass front from your old housing, you reattach it to the new one using the tape that is already applied.
so no, you dont buy glue. id think if you did try to glue it yourself, youd royally mess it up
i wouldnt put it in an oven myself. hairdryer it for a few mins, gently pushing the glass out until it loosens up enough.
Hey,
I want to change the complete cover of my neo (looks kinda wasted atm
I have found this Video below how to disassemble the phone,
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vOE_Z-y8FUs but my Problem is that i only find new covers without the glass...
http://www.ebay.de/itm/Sony-Ericsso...esignfolien&hash=item257260a639#ht_1585wt_906
or only the glass http://www.amazon.de/Sony-Ericsson-...F150/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1341754831&sr=8-1
Can i now buy only the cover and carefully press the glass of my Neo out and after that glue it with the new cover ?
Hope some1 has better knowledge and can help me out
I´d say: take your's apart and see how it's glued together.
Personally I really want to replace the worn out buttons, but parts are expensive.

My buttons are completly worn off almost too. Sucks!
Dust is your biggest problem if you gonna open your phone, so do it somewhere "clean place"

is it an easy enough job the remove and change the full galaxy s2 housing ?
Mines is a little rough looking and can see online the housing cases can be removed and replaced.
Worth buying?
Thanks
Im not sure if you need to take the screen off the top housing bit.The middle housing is easy enough to change as long as all the components come off ok.They are taped in and bear in mind other people have removed then reinstalled components and faults appear.
I once tried to pry out the vibrating module(is a unit that does other things I cant remember) and it basically split in half because the tape stuff that held it in wouldnt release the bloody thing.....lol

well...i guess out of vids, tuts n' stuff that if u want to replace full housing of s2 you need too pry out touch screen with amoled and all hardware aswell....i've broken gorilla glass but amoled luckily still works fine....BUT..,i opened my s2....ripped all parts out of it....i mean all parts.....and came to touch screen part where i had to heat it up from front part and when i thought i heated it up enough i tryed to pry out gorilla glass.....BUT....due to cracked glass it started cracking even more(and gorilla glass &amoled are bonded together)...,so i stopped and put it back together before amoled cracks....i was so lucky......because i lost only my touch keys(back & menu) due to another crack that appeared but amoled is still working.......so....i think if i'd have a non broken glass i could detach and pull it apart easily....and eventually put it back together....it's not that hard really....those parts...e.g. vibrator module, sensors & stuff....they are bonded on housing with double sided tape...and it's pretty strong....
but if u're an expert...you can do it....you just have to be very careful to not to break any of those parts....
so....if i were u...i'd give it a shot....and i'll replace my complete touch screen as soon as i receive my payment and order it on ebay....then i'll try to detach old broken glass from amoled & i'll try to keep it alive...I'll make a video aswell...

Hi guys!
I have i9100P on which the front glass is broken. The screen and digitizer work perfectly, so I thought why shouldn't I try to just replace the front glass.
I know that it is really difficulty, but I can't lose anything other than my time.
The only problem is I don't know which kind of a glue I should use to glue new front glass. Any suggestions?

Hi.
Accidentally dropped my s3 i9300 ( ofcaurse at day when i don't had lifeproof on in ) and front screen has a one crack from top to the bottom.
Im ok with replace it by self together with video from xda user http://goo.gl/120AwW
This was created in 2012. I wont to ask you noob questions:
1. Is this the best way to replace it?
2 . Do i have to replace digitize or only front glass ?
3. Which glass/screen is the best to buy as replacement ? ( is possible to buy better then original - like for s4 or better ? )
Thank You for any help.
I found this thing. http://goo.gl/JNKlqc Is that what i need ?

Yes but u ve to be very careful when u remove your broken screen. Make sure you get the screen hot enough without frying yr lcd. What u are replacing is only the glass, the digitizer is a film glued on the lcd.careful not to lift it up when remmoving yr glass also be careful of the flex cable for menu and back button. Never start from bottom. One thing for sure yr phone will be the same again as the original does not have a gap between the glass and the lcd it is filled with glue. Its better to buy the complete assembly from aliexpress cost abt $90US. Cheers
