I am posting the PAC-man kernel and modules.
Why?
1. It is stable.
2. It is time-tested.
3. It has many features (governors, io schedulers etc)
4. This way kernel updates can get to users even if ROM is not updated.
(like the recent cwm fix)
Changelog?
Code:
[B]20121212 :[/B]
- Initial (cwm dancing fix)
[B]20121216:[/B]
- Updated recovery to 6.0.2.2
- Power off option in recovery.

Support?
I will not be providing support for this kernel. You have been warned.
But i will try to help in whatever way I can.
Download
For PAC 4.1 / CM 4.1 -> Download
For 4.2 based ROMs -> Download
Modules for both (CWM flashable) -> Download
useful stuff.. thanks bro
uh! You are a godsend!
I wish I could thank you to death! limited to 8 thanks :|
Thanks, I will test this kernel to check on Sygic Navigation (it's drive me crazy because it reboot my phone). Boot time is very speed compared to FusioN v4.1 kernel (first boot is long also like on FusioN v4.1 kernel but this is no problem).
This kernel is the perfect compromise between the feature packed FusioN and the barebone FXP kernel. There are no drawbacks for this kernel.
This kernel is very speed. My phone with this kernel boots very fast and working very well. Next days shows how it's stable.

Try out! Just don't load at boot till you are sure it is stable.
My recommendation: Minimum: 249 Max: 1113 ondemand for routine use
(134 to 364 uses the same voltage, so minimum upto 364 causes same battery drain)
everything is work and rom run more stable.
Will it work on PA?(I guess it should work since its based on CM). But has anyone tried already?
I am currently on PA 2.54 by music.soul
Anyways going to try it tonight. Will post the results.

If the ramdisk is broken - at the most the phone won't boot
Don't know what can happen if zimage is broken but this will not be the case in this kernel. the zimage built from same source is working on other devices and the deconfig for all devices are correct.
great work bro
this kernel works charm in my sweet n naughty mini.......
thumbs up bro....
Confirmed working on all DRVICES, So enjoy and do Hit Thanks and support !
i don't know what you did to the kernel, but fifa 12 is running without a single lag on this kernel :good:

How to use RLE?
1.Get any 800*480 resolution image from any place. Lets take this as an example
2.Open up my ramdisk. This is the most advanced step here. You can use kitchen made by dsixda for this purpose.
3.You will find initlogo.rle over there. Delete it.
4.Now follow instructions HERE to convert your image to RLE format
5.Copy this newly generated rle image to my ramdisk and name it as "initlogo.rle"
6.Repack my kernel
7.Flash it and you're done.
Good job prototype-u!

That's great prototype-U! Do you know which kernel did you use? I mean, the WWE ROM, the Indian one...
I'm soooo happy I can have a "full" root phone right now with write protection disabled...

It would take only 5 mins to make it cm compatible
But I won't be coming in my hardcore kernel hacking mode right now and you can find the reason in my sign.
I was able to put many new freqs in the kernel and added stuff like init.d, govs etc. Will give you guys detailed changelog after few hours.

I'm here with a simple but fast kernel for AOSP 4.4.2.
Download with this link you get always the latest image.
KING's Kernel Manager: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2747094 to get OTA updates
Features:
Vibration intensity tweakable
- Allows to change vibration intensity
To change value:
Code:
echo x > /sys/vibrator/pwm_value
Change x with a number between 0 and 60. 0 is the strongest, 60 is the weakest.
Dynamic management of dirty page writeback
- Based on a Christopher83 commit.
- Allows to dynamically manage the dirty page writebacks with two different intervals, one when the screen is on and another when the screen is off.
- By using a higher interval we have better performance and less battery consumption, with a very low risk of data loss.
To enable it:
Code:
echo 1 > /proc/sys/vm/dynamic_dirty_writeback
To disable it:
Code:
echo 0 > /proc/sys/vm/dynamic_dirty_writeback
To customize intervals (in centisecs):
Code:
echo xxxx > /proc/sys/vm/dirty_writeback_active_centisecs
echo xxxx > /proc/sys/vm/dirty_writeback_suspend_centisecs
default for active: 1500
default for suspend: 500
tested values: 3000 - 1000 , 6000 - 2000
Disabled Gentle Fair Sleepers
- Gives better performance
AIO: Don't plug the I/O queue in do_io_submit()
- 30/35% faster sd card reading
-O3 build optimization
- Gives better performance
Dynamically disable mutex spinning at high load
- Thanks to faux123

Do people even read the OP anymore? There's even a post explaining that it's only for AOSP!
For now. That's the keyword, when it gets compatible with anything other than AOSP 4.4, then it'll be noted in the OP.
God!
On another note, nice! I'll be giving this a try later in the day.
Please system/lib/modules from AOSP 4.4 ? I give "thanks"

Good Job! Where do i put that values for dynamic management of dirty page? I'm noob in those things.

Got it automatically with your app, everything went dell but to be honnest I don't know what to check to give you a usefull feedback. It works very well on latest aosp that's all I can tell.
Do you have a roadmap btw ?
Hi! Good kernel i see some improvements (better battery life on a 2 year old battery), but sometimes phone restarts without reason 3-4 times a day.

If by roadmap you mean "to do", yes. I'm trying to get a faster bootup and to improve performance.

I don't get any reboot, I'm sorry
I'm flashing RC2 now.
About RC1 it's really good, I like it, phone is fast and smooth. There are some minor ui glitches but I don't know if it's kernel related or rom related. No reboots so far.
How did you mange to flash this with ukf? It says system not supported....
