Morning all,
I have a Prestigio Multipad 5097 Pro tablet which features an RK2918 processor (Same as the Odys-Loox).
While navigating XDA forums, I came across this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=36634416&postcount=41.
It is CM10.1 for the Odys-Loox, which I have already mentioned has the same processor as my tablet, and so I was wondering if I was to flash the rom to my tablet, would it work or would I brick my tab. If it should theoretically work, would I just flash it in the normal manner with the RK2918 Tools that are provided upon the download of a stock Prestigio ROM from their website.
Many Thanks
GC
Okay so let me start with my first post! last month i bought a qmobile a700 and on the second day got CWMR on it and messed it up bigtime by installing some random custom rom. Since then i've been trying to get my qmobile back to life. since a700 ain't a popular model i couldn't find much help from the internet so i decided to start working on it myself from scratch...
so after almost more than a month i have finally managed to get almost everything running.. the list of stuff working really great are
rear camera perfect
wifi perfect,
bluetooth perfect,
nexus 4 boot logo,
boots really fast!! (when i say really fast i mean it) (cuz i added some tweaks in build.prop)
battery will obviously be good...
stock 4.4 kitkat UI by default
gps works fine
all the sensors are working too,
cwm recovery preinstalled
and way many more stuff.. no time to mention them here...
and the stuff which don't really work that great are
the front camera sucks bigtime, worse than 1950s cameras
both sim cards aren't detected. (the baseband problem thingy, because i never backed up my stock rom's modem.img)
playstore gets worms sometimes.
i want to release this ROM ASAP because i know many people must be waiting for this, i have a little request from some owners of a700. i need the stock a700 rom so i can finish fixing this rom once and for all. i'm really tired and frustrated now, don't wanna spend more time on this. someone just extract and upload their stock rom and i'll upload this custom one in less than a weeks time after i get the stock rom. here are the instructions to extract your stock rom... (for noobs)
download the first file attached at the end of this post.. it is to root your android device (don't worry, ain't nothing gonna happen here)
rooting your android can't get easier than this, enable 'USB debugging' in 'developer options' in 'settings'.
connect your phone to the computer.
run that file, press the "root" button and you'll be done within few minutes.
then goto play store and download an app called 'mobileuncle tools'
after downloading that open it and press 'authorize' when asked for root permission...
then download the second post at the end of this post... (its cwmr)
copy that file to the SD card of your phone.
run mobileuncle tools app on your phone, then goto 'recovery update' section and press on 'recovery.img'
press ok and then ok again, after the okays you'll be in the phones recovery (clockwork mod)
use volume + and volume - keys to scroll up and down and use the power button for selection..
scroll down and select 'backup' option. it should successfully backup (but incase it didn't and it gave errors like couldn't mount /data /system etc, backup your contacts and important stuff, then go into the recovery again and select 'wipe/factory restore' option.. then perform a backup...)
zip the backed up folder (in sdcard/clockworkmod/backup...) and upload it somewhere and send the link to me or upload it here...
that's all
PM me if you have any question...
you can easily get all those files you need from the webste
gionee.co.in
as a700 is gionee gpad g2
hope it helps,
and yes if you still need a700's backup, i will provide you whenever i have one
because currently i m using gionees firmware as i have ruined mine qmobiles firmware
regards

Walton Primo N1 is also a clone of A700 and Gionee Gpad G2. i have Primo N1 and have tested Gpad G2's Stock on my phone. works without a problem but i like N1's Stock more than Gpad g2. you can try as well.

Hi guys anyone have cwm backup of a20 ??
sir how can i find qmobile a700 real rom of qmobile i have installed other rom but doesnt work
My Qmobile A700, also branded as Gionee Gpad G2 elsewhere, is stuck at boot after I installed the Gionee Gpad G2's stock ROM on my phone which was having issues [playstore wasn't working] .
- As I coudn't find A700's stock ROM, I went for Gionee Gpad G2's stock ROM.
- To install Gionee Gpad G2's stock ROM on my A700, I tried flashing by SP-Flash tool, following all the instructions but the flashing never started.
- After that I flashed the Gionee Gpad G2's stock ROM through CWM, by downloading the zip version ; next thing I know, I am stuck at boot .
- Have tried Hardresets/format of the system through CWM, no results.
- Since I didn't make backup of any sort, I can't even go back to the Qmobile's original ROM now, which atleast worked for the phonecalls and stuff.
- Though I tried restoring a backup of another working Qmobile A700's by [NANDROID]. Got an error during restoring /system. [No idea why? :/ ]
I would greatly appreciate if someone could help.
Let me know if you are still having any problem, I'll be more than happy to help!

Hello, i just got a secondhand Acer Iconia A210 tablet. however its from a company and they put a custom rom on the thing. is there a way for me to do a clean install of jelly bean on it?
i have looked around for some roms but every link i find is either dead or fake.
