Alternative method to download Stock Firmware - G2 General

Hi guys,
Just want to share another method to download Stock Firmware.
Here are the steps :
1) Type this in your browser http://csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/csmg/b2c/client/auth_model_check2.jsp?esn=IMEI
2) Replace IMEI with your IMEI phone's code
3) The browser will display some html codes
4) Look for text something like :
<sw_url>
http://csmgdl.lgmobile.com/dn/downloader.dev?fileKey=FW567986573210987654321/D80210A_00.kdz
</sw_url>
5) Text in blue color is your download link

I can't say what happened on your end, but maybe you didn't enter the imei right?
Maybe you can't do it from your location country?
If you want me to try with your imei, PM it to me.

this might be another silly question but can this then just be flashed from recovery like any other rom?

Can't help with that, never flashed anything on the G2. I just wanted to have a kdz ready for my phone just in case.

FYI, If this doesn't work for you try the LGMobile Support Tool found in the "Go Back to Stock Thread", It automatically downloads and restores the phone to stock. Ive used it , works great.

I have an Orange branded LG G2 ........ I was able to use this method to download the stock software by IMEI ,but I want to know if the software version I downloaded is branded orange in case I have need to install the original software to warranty.

same thing happened for me in Opera Next, tried it in Firefox and it worked like a charm ( proof that the ultimate browser does not exist )
