Seriously? If you don't know that VZW stands for VeriZonWireless... You probably shouldn't be flashing your phone.

I don't understand. Does that mean Sprint will be releasing an update soon that will update us to that radio then? Or do we have RUU to get it? My radio is 1.02.12.0427.

Should this really be posted here? It looks to me like a Chinese version of our phone will be coming out (hence the HTCCN). If it was for the Sprint version, wouldn't it have Sprint in the filename? I'd hate to have someone install it and brick their phone from the incompatible radio. Please, correct me if I'm wrong.

He made a very good point. Don't get too excited guys. This is mainly for ROM chefs to poke around and extract anything useful. I'm sure it won't even let us flash the software, since we're not s-off and it's not for Sprint.

but could you flash them roms? or it'll brick your phone?

Yes. People on AT&T have flashed international roms no problems and it looks like the same for T-Mobile.
Does anyone know if you can flash a ROM from another network being that the phones are virtually identical with the exception of the radios. I am coming from Sprint and loved ViperRom but sadly he is staying with Sprint. I wonder if it would work or would I be looking at a brick if I tried.
It'll brick your phone hard. I came from the evo 4G lte. Viper roms were great but until he comes over or someone ports his roms we're out of luck.
Though a good thing is deck had already moved over to the one so cm10.1 shouldn't be too far away

oh **** i thought you were talking about flashing a viper rom on the ONE haha.
why would you want the international version of the rom on tmobile? bloat? i already got rid of my bloat with TI backup and i get to keep my wifi calling so i dont see that need for that.. sorry not trying to be mean just wondering..

I guess more customization. I want to change the button presses from tap to go home to bring up menu hold to take me home and leave double tap on for recent.. I know it's possible..

Unless it is AOSP based roms all of them will be similar with few tweaks and options. The main advantage is having the latest ruu since carriers take forever.

T-Mobile ROMs

It looks like there aren't any ROMs based on the T-Mobile formware on any of the forums. Are y'all getting the same data speeds on the international ROMs? Is there a tmobile radio to flash?
You should be able to flash any in the HTC One Forum. Our device is the M7 so you should have no issues. Only problems some people have been seeing is from ATT so far with roms that don't have the proper RIl files and this is believed to cause the radio to switch from E, H, and LTE chronically.

thanks, i wasnt sure if our device was M7 or not.
stupid question, but does flashing the roms on the international one forum **** up the radio?
Only if the ROM includes the radio. As far as I know, no one is including radios in their ROM's. I would personally hold off flashing any radio until we get a flashable zip, RUU, or other means to go back to the shipped radio. Some users are having issues with the WWE radio on Tmobile and ATT. Some may think it's just the rill files too.

Yah that's the one bummer about non T-Mobile ROMs. It's impossible to get WiFi calling working. Has to be a T-Mobile based ROM.

It's the same thing after you unlock the boot loader and have a custom recovery
The only thing is you have to flash the kernel manually

I mean, the "you can sort of unlock the bootloader but you can't have S-OFF" is obnoxious but it isn't any easier to bring your phone--if anything, the limitations placed on operations done in recovery make it harder to actually brick your phone since the boot and recovery images are normally flashed in fastboot.
But yeah, Nexus phones are much kinder to tinkerers. News at 11.

Yeah, that's what I did too. Only mildly sad to give up wifi calling; I never go over on minutes anyway.
Can't wait until there's T-mo specific roms. I get absolutely crap reception in my apartment and NO reception at work, so i desperately need wifi calling.
What we need is a good all around android dev /Rom chef to dedicate there time to our branded HTC one.
I hope Roms aren't gonna be generic forever leaving us with partially set up Roms/ having to flash radios constantly and whatnot !Never knowing what's compatible and what's not .
If that's the case I foresee a lot of angry people and jtag sales in the future .
I'd give it a month or two before we have a few 2-4 dedicated tmo HTC one roms 100% ready to flash and go just for us only .

Umm, I'm pretty sure why no one answered is because it's not possible. Just a thought. Typically if someone has a way to do it, it will be in the development section. I think you can only use the device with an operator that has sim cards. (except for sprint, I haven't seen any confirmation there.) since, Iirc, cricket is all cdma based there is no way to get the S4 on their network. Someone can correct me if my understanding that is off.

Yup. The S4 is GSM unlocked, but carrier locked to VZW on CDMA. Of course, there's a chance a custom rom could overcome that, but since I'm on MDK I can't run any custom roms.
