[Q] dualboot jb s2? possible? - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, Hope someone can advise me with this one, im not a newb, but this dualbooting thing is something id like to do but a bit perplexed about.
This is my current setup -
s2 international version, which I have rooted and have cwm recovery 6.0.3.7.
I am running stock upgrade 4.1.2 android build jzo54k i9100vjms4 with jeboo kernel v1.2a+
64gb ext sd card which I have a current backup of my rom installed to.
I would like to use my current rom as primary.
Is it possible to dualboot with another jb rom upto 4.3 under this setup and how would I do it?

[Q] Latest stock & CM ?

Hello everybody. I have a i9100 with pda: xwlpy, phone: xxlq6, csc: neelp6 on stock 4.0.4 and Dorimanx 5.92 kernel.
Untill now i didn't want CM because of the dialer (really like the Samsung dialer) and other small things, but now i want a clean, fresh install and start.
So i was wondering, can I install this stock LSJ 4.1.2, then root it (or should i install it with mobile odin and try to keep root? i preffer via pc but root is a must), then install Dorimanx 7.26 kernel with mali and then as a second rom this CM 10 4.1.2 ? Then i'll switch dorimanx to battery mode because i'm not that much into gaming.
Are this the latest releases? Any advice before i start working ? (now i'm downloading for ages the stock 4.1.2)
You can root LSJ but not with Dorimax kernel.
You cant use dual boot option (yet).
Yes XXLSJ is latest release.
ok, is that 4.1.2 stock recommanded or another download

that stock 4.1.2 is a leaked test version and not a official samsung release for u
hence try some other stable Stock ICS 4.0.3 versions for now, till a official JB released from samsung
hm... any eta for that ? that would be great but i'm afraid i'll have to wait some months and move to another country, so i'll have little access to a pc to get in download mode and everything to make a really clean install

[Q] Rooting galaxy s2

Hello. Recently I've installed CM 10.2 with installer. Phone doesn't seem to be rooted,as installer may have locked it again? The thing is I want to root it and the question is ,do I do it the same way I found on some guide for 4.1.2 stock JB, where they first use Jeboo kernel, then root phone, or I go straight to root? I am confused since I cm 10.2 is android 4.3 jb version and I believe it has different kernel than stock already.

Installation MIUI on Galaxy S3 with Samsung stock 4.3 rom

Hello gentlemen, I have Galaxy S3 and I have there stock rom from samsung android version 4.3 (specifically i9300XXUGNA8) and I would like to try a MIUI rom. However I find guide only with downgrade on stock rom version I9300XXDLJ4 which is android 4.1.1. But I know that it used old EFS file version 1 and in my rom is EFS v2. So if I downgrade it, the telephone was not work - especially signal from operator. Does anyone have any advice or some guidance on how the stock Samsung rom to MIUI. Thanks for the advice. (and sorry for my english)

I've used the MIUI rom for s3, and trust me, it's really good. The only downside is that you have to downgrade to android version 4.2.2 which is CM based. The latest version is based on 4.2.2, not 4.1.1
You have to do this:
1) Root your s3 following a proper guide. There are plenty on the net. Just google it.
2) Install a custom recovery. I recommend TWRP or Philz Touch recovery.
3) Download the MIUI rom from their official website en.miui.com
4) Flash the rom using the recovery.
Done. Hope this helped

[Q] Can I safely downgrade from CM 11?

Hello, I have an S3 LTE version, I'm currently running CM KitKat, but the bugs (mainly the camera) annoy me very much. I wish to downgrade to some stock based 4.1.2 CF, TGP or something, but I fear that it will format allof my data, because I have heard that KitKat started partitioning the drives differently. Is it safe? The camera on CM 11 freezes randomly thus making it unusable for me. I've read the FAQ and this is disturbing:
How can I return to a 4.3 ROM from 4.4 ROM?
Flash a 4.2 Kernel (or lower for lower versions) and use the CWM Recovery to do the Full wipes, flash the 4.3 ROM you want and reboot.
Do I need to do anything else than installing the ROM if it's got the AROMA Installer?

Dual booting Gingerbread - Jelly bean - Nougat , without only one kernel

hi everyone,
i am searching a way to dual boot (or triple boot) my galaxy s2 between gingerbread(stock), jelly bean (stock) and nougat (aosp)
i don't want to be dependent from one kernel, simply i want a method similar to dual boot patcher.
i tried this application but i9100 device is not supported.
maybe i can select galaxy S3 i9300 in the configuration of dual boot patcher, but i don't want to risk to brick my loved S2
i don't know... but i really need a way to do this triple boot without depending from a kernel and storing rom files in the user storage (/data or internal storage... or external sd...)

Dual boot requires a kernel that supports it like DorimanX kernel, which will never support Nougat (I'm not personally going to update it).
You can dual boot stock jelly bean and lollipop, but that is as far as you can get (marshmallow dual boot support is unknown and most likely is broken).
Dual booting gingerbread and newer android versions is impossible as there is no kernels known for allowing this.
Saber.
Lineage Nougat
LineageOS 14.1 has everything thought of, as far as i understand, but can it be flashed ontop of a stock orange gingerbread ROM? i1900P(withNFS)?
