[Q] How to Unroot LG L3 E400 ? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

What I have here is a rooted to CM9 LG L3 E400 and I want to unroot it, or in other words return to stock, and I humbly ask for your help. Info about OS:
Android version: 4.0.4.
Baseband version: LG-E400-V10d
Kernel version: 2.6.38.6-CM [email protected] #1
CyanogenMod version: 9-20130714-NIGHTLY-e400
Build number: cm_e400-userdebug 4.0.4 IMM76L eng. jenkins.20130714.140630 test-keys
It needs to be unrooted because this OS has a few issues. One of those issues is that the device doesn't allow USB Mass Storage mode to be selected in order to connect with a computer. Also, the files in SD Card can't be accessed via device or computer (strangely though, the photos and videos are accessible via gallery). I've searched all over internet and I've always found some broken links in unroot guides, making those guides unusable. If you could help me out with this, I would be very grateful.

MIUI On Android W007 - Android Smartphone

Hey guys,
I just recently discovered the MIUI custom ROM for Android - and i've just fallen in love with it... Unfortunately I am new to this concept of installing custom ROM, and have a few crucial questions. The first one being - is it possible to even install this ROM on my android? I have purchased imported phone, from China (the W007 Android); For this I have done quite a bit of looking around, but unfortunately (where ever I have found a download link) for the MIUI- their all just specific versions (for specific phones). I am sooo interested in installing this onto my phone, but I cannot find a valid version for my phone... The Phone Details Follow:
Android Version: 4.0.3
Baseband Version: MAUI.11AMD.W11.50.SP.V14, 2012/04/20 17:38
Kernel Version: 3.0.13 Sat Jun 9 13:12:07
Build Number: ALPS.ICS.MP.V1.11
Model Number: e1809c_v75_jbl_253
(Please just ask me for anything that is needed)
Second question was... Will I need to Root my phone, inorder to install this custom rom? I was asking this as, I believe that the warranty for the phone becomes void, if it is Rooted?
If you guys could please help me out with this little problem - It would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advanced. :fingers-crossed:

Hi you have tested MIUI Rom in your W007? It's work?

Seeking Advice to root Allwinner A13

I'm looking for some advice about rooting my android device. I'd like su permission, so I can remove protected bloatware, use apps such as Root Explorer, etc.
The device is listed on Amazon as an Allwinner A13 (correct, I think) with Android 4.0. However, on my "tablet information" screen, the Android version is given as 4.1.1.
Here's all the info from the "about tablet" tab on the settings screen:
Model number: Q88.
Android version: 4.1.1
Baseband version: v0.4rc3
Kernel version: 3.0.8+ [email protected] #284
Build number: nuclear_evb-eng 4.1.1 JRO03C 20130531 test-keys
The device arrived with no clear documentation, and it's a bit hit-and-miss what you end up with, with these - my friend ordered the same item and ended up with a device with different apps installed, and his device was already rooted when he took it out of the box!
Is there a way to root without using a computer? (I don't have ready access to a PC right now.) I've tried Poot and a couple of other apps, but no luck so far.
Thanks in advance for any help; I'll be eternally grateful.

I need help too... My version is 4.2.2... Model Q88.. Firmware/v0.4rc3.. Kernel 3.0.8+ [email protected] #40. Build number- nuclear_xw711-eng 4.2.2 JDQ39 20130626 test-keys..... PLEASE!!!! Help us... We gladly appreciated....

Ah, someone in the same boat. Have you found any more info on rooting these, since your post? They obviously can be rooted - as I said, I know someone with the same model, Q88, that already had full root access, straight out of the box.
Let me know if you find anything out; I'm still looking.
With the poot/ministro method, I'm just getting an error message about a "daemon has materialised". It hasn't harmed my device, but neither am I any closer to su permission.
[rant]We really shouldn't have to jump through any hoops to get control over our own devices. Imagine if you bought a PC, and you didn't have admin access to Windows. If you ask why, you're told: "well, you might delete your system files, and we can't trust you not to!"[/rant]

My tablet is a allwinner a13 too. And this process worked flawlessly. But you have to use a computer.

Cheers, I'll have to work on getting hold of a PC to use, to try that method. Thanks for the post.

Hello! I am a first time owner of a generic android tablet. I am totally lost when it comes to technology. I love the tablet, but I cant download hardly any apps because of the low memory. I put an external SD card in it, and I still have no memory space. It has so many system apps and user apps that will not let me move to the external SD card. I would like to root it and cannot find any information on instructions for my particular device. I dont wanna try to root it until I have the right steps and info to do it. I dont want to mess it up. I would greatly appreciate any help and advice. Thank you for your time and consideration!

Thanks for the tip it helped me dip my toe in the android tweaking water however after pouring over the instructions it seems this method was intended for devices running Ice cream sandwich I did install pdanet but I backed off after that step I am really nervous about bricking the tablet I waited almost a month to arrive so I'm going to take it slow and keep digging for more device specific info and will share anything I find useful here
Thanks for the tip, I still haven't had any luck finding any info on my specific tablet yet. Any help is greatly appreciated. I'm nervous about bricking it too. I had an issue with it just a couple days after I bought it, and I had to do a hard factory reset. So I wanna go the safest route possible

I used Shuame http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2430698 to root my A23 allwinner 7in tablet. (there's only a Chinese version at present) by just clicking stuff using the guide above and it will add some Chinese apps but they are easy to remove.

Hi All,
I hope this thread is still active, its the closest information I've
found in trying to discover this tablets brand name and specs.
I come into this tablet world as a newbie on a quest.
End Result: root & flash this tablet into a Linux OS.
Re-Purpose instead of trashing.
This tablet given, can be bricked...to find confirmed way to accomplish
successful rooting/flashing.
:victory:
I am using Linux, Ubuntu or Debian...
so all those winblows 8,9's or 10's - "root'ers" do me no good.
Anyone wanna play or contribute in this 'sandbox'?

NozaTech Android Tablet?

Hello guys, A while back I bought this tablet Its branded "NozaTech" but over time its become sluggish and seems to be infected with advertising and some sort of malware.. Its even at the point where applications keep crashing and google play wont install anything else. I think it was shipped with a dodgy ROM, How would I go about finding what custom ROM that is compatible with this device? as I think it needs a complete wipe and a new spark of life. Also how would I go about installing it?

so all in all we are in 2020 and this is pretty ancient but I see no reason why not to use the good hardware.
I want to explore my options.
do I find some more updated android firmware that is documented to not brick this box and install it?
or do I try out an alternative os? I understand that this is not a regular pc therefore if I want ubuntu I heard that armbian is my option.
those are my only 2 options, right?
I just want something that is similar to android or ubuntu-desktop and that is stable, works well, relatively modern and not from 2015, and that will not brick my box.
can this thing boot from an external sd card or external usb hard drive?
Any recommendations as well as os installation tutorial links will be greatly appreciated!
