Anyone have a list or an idea of what I can remove in regards to stock apps? I've seen a list like this for other phones and I know this phone is new but I'm sure there's power users out there that have removed tons. And if so, is titanium backup the best way to remove them?

Titanium Backup is your best choice, freeze is recommended.
Yea it took me a minute to find and I knew it was there.

Much appreciated. Yeah froze a ton of stuff. I subscribed to your thread so if I come across anything acting weird after being frozen/removed I'll post it there.

I would appreciate it, I'm running JellyBomb Domination ROM now and having a hard time adding new content, there are apps listed that may be essential and unlisted apps that may be bloat...
What I have been doing is trying to add explanations and links to each apps functions to make it easier for users to know exactly what it is they're freezing/removing.
I have a pretty good understanding of what does what. Unfortunately no idea what noq is haha.

Thanks to untermensch. This is a port of his original mod for the Vibrant.
I updated the reboot options to work with DJ05. The first attachment is just the reboot mod. The second attachment includes both the reboot and accurate battery mods.
These will only work if you have DJ05 installed (you would know if you did).
Hahaha, I love how we have mods for DJ on XDA before the actual update. Just a Tad messed up.

Oh don't get me wrong, I understand why it hasn't been released yet. I just think it's a little messed to post all these themes and mods for something a lot of people don't have. It's like, "Here, have this spoon. It's made to go perfectly with Cap'n Crunch. Oh you don't have any CC? Damn, that sucks bro."

It's less than ideal. However, anyone who wants DJ05 can get it. They just have to go elsewhere to get it.

LOL. I feel like the heavy hint dropping on this forum pretty much guarantees that anyone who wants 05 can get it, but by making it slightly more difficult than clicking a link it takes out the stupidest 30%. By making those who want it go to the best place to get help, that further slims down the number of "I don't know what I did nor what I was doing, but my phone doesn't work right anymore and I can't be bothered to search for a fix" threads. The only other way I can think of to do the same thing would be to require people to use adb to install the update, so at least they learn some basic tool use in the process.
That being said, I'm still on 01 and have no intention of upgrading until I see a theme/ROM combo that I fall in love with.

How exactly is your nook being "gay"?
Unless your nook is homosexual another term may be more appropriate. Maybe you can say it's being a <edited before I get banned>.
Just so you know, removing apps can limit what the market will show.
Have you made changes besides removing apk's?
Thanks for making a ROM!

This on boot looped for me. I like the removed apps and I''ll try it again after the next update.
Yes I wiped and install the ROM twice to make sure.
But I like the idea so keep it up.

Alright, It does that for me every once in a while but it goes away after a force restart with the power button. I will just have to go step by step again and see what app is causing it. Thanks for letting me know!
But seeing as I have no boot partition, it might be next week or so until it comes out. :/
Aw, I know someone who'd love a homosexual tablet.
No disrespect, but maybe you'd like to actually know how Android works before trying to (rick)roll your own ROM? What you're offering here is easily achieved without a custom ROM, even on an already-installed tablet, so other than the fame, fortune, and tons of women, I'm not quite sure what you're on about here.
Sucks about the boot partition.
Rodney
So... this is CM7 with some apps removed and a different file manager?
I agree....however......installing CM7 on the nook is so darn easy that many people who have limited computer skills are getting in on this game. Lots of folks who could not modify the CM7 install might want something like this. I am not sure what that this particular 'custom' ROM has to offer....yet. Who knows, maybe he will eventually get a modified install worth the trouble. I have never tried it myself, but the 'phiremod' modification has its fans...it is basically the same as this but obviously much more refined and with its own theme.
Why do people flame someone who creates a new rom on this forum? Look what happened to the last rom you guys flamed. He took it down!
If you don't like what he is doing then DON'T DOWNLOAD IT! It's that easy.

Because it's a low-effort ROM. Seriously, all he did was pull a few APKs out of the ROM and didn't even test the effects of the missing APKs.
We shouldn't encourage low-effort posting like this. If someone comes out with a good ROM, people will respect that, but this isn't even a ROM. It's CM7 with APKs ripped out of it

I have accidentally formatted my SD card before. Mistakes happen. I would like to get a CM without unusable apps on a nook. There is more to it though than just removing the apk. Market stuff, system... etc.
I also applaud the goal you are trying to reach. i have been curious for months now in seeing how much faster an odexed rom for the nook could be.(if it's possible) or at least apk optimized with unnecessary images and language packs taken out.Hopefully one day a dev can try and cook one up. Don't let anyone discourage you.
Anyone have a list of bloatware that is safe to remove from the ICS leak?
(Actual file names?) Would be nice to get rid of a lot of this.
Thanks.
No one has a list?
Make one then? I just deleted stuff that I knew was useless, and didn't pay attention enough to record which ones. Just remove the stuff that's obvious, and a quick Google search will tell you what the others do if you don't know. Nobody can make a completely comprehensive list, as some find useful what others find as crap. Even de bloated ROMa suggests have more stuff that I end up deleting every time I flash a new room, because the devs hereto stuff inn there that I see as unnecessary.

Looking for an add-on or app that will lend some intelligence to the Rezound in the areas of notifications and sounds (or, if it's already there and I am missing how to do it, please advise).
Specifically, I am hoping to find a way to do the following:
- Let me program a "night" mode - so during certain hours (say, 11PM-7AM?) my notifications sounds are muted (buzz is ok)
- Need to do this independently of the ringer (as I don't want my ringer muted during this time)
- Need to be able to control the reminder buzz/sound. Don't need to be constantly buzzed at night when an email comes in and I don't acknowledge it
- One more for the wish list - a way to tell my alarm I keep set for Mon-Fri that I want it to skip one day (such as on the 4th last week, when I was off). Would prefer that to turning off the alarm, and setting a reminder in my calendar to enable the alarm again the next day.
FYI, running Nil's ICS Business Sense 5.3 ROM.

Btw - THAT was a good response.
I don't mind a learning curve, and at least now I have some clue as to what to research...also figured someone may have already created a mod or tweak (or app) to do these sorts of things, hence why I asked.
Seems these would be basic functions you would expect to find in a smart phone?

you can use any stock rom there are so many debloat scripts lying around in this forum..
What people regard as bloat varies hugely, so I suggest reading up on what is safe to remove, then use titanium to initially freeze a few at a time, while you gain an understanding of what each .apk does, you can then easily restore if you encounter problems or uninstall when you decide for definite you don't want a certain function.
This approach will give you much better insight into the system whilst giving you valuable knowledge of it also.
Go slow, learn well = no brick
Android Development Stock debloated rom or one that uses Aroma is your starting point .
