To flash alliance kernel unlocked boot loader is required.....as you're on stock 4.0.4,just root your neo install cwm and flash pureness rom followed by the fix for your phone( step by step instruction is already given by thilinac in his post)

You stuck at boot logo(with locked bl) when you don't follow these instruction precisely. This method is already tested on all 2011 xperia hdpi locked bl devices and all works fine.
4.Format /system (in mounts and storage)
5.Format /cache
6.Format /Data
8.Install patch for your phone model

Are you making full wipe?? Maybe thats the problen make sure you make a full wipe in CWM
Sent from my SK17i using xda premium
So you have an unlocked bootloader try this:
Flash rage kernel 3.0
In CWM wipe data/factory reset
Wipe cache
Advanced-wipe dalvik cache
Mounts and Storage-format system
After that flash S'perience Rom
And reboot

Make sure you are doing this:
flash the kernel go to cwm wipe factory wipe cache
go to mounts & storage-format system
go to advanced -wipe dalvik
cache flash the rom reboot..
Then make sure that in aroma installer u selec the right phone model and unlocked bootloader option!!!
You can always hit the thaks botton if we are helpping you.

Why did you upgrade to ics if you wanted to install a gb rom? I think problems started there.....
Full wipe = in CWM do factory reset, then go to mounts and storage and select format system, then advanced and wipe dalvik cache.
Then flash rom.
If you keep having problems flash the stock GB fw, then restrt the process again: Flash kernel for the rom you want -> do a full wipe in cwm (you have to format system in mounts and storage!) -> then install the zip.

[Q] Q: Jelly bean in Sony Experia Neo V

Hi all!
I have sony xperia neo v. I'm trying to install super jelly bean v6.0 but I have no luck at all. Always stuck at some point. The device is unlocked and rooted. Furthermore, I don't know what to do. In reboot mode, it says device not conneted or not found, something like that. In flahtool it cannot find device. I've installed pc companion, and I've installed manually from flashtool drivers. None worked.
Thanks in advance.

its the Kernel flasher by GhostFreak.. u can get that in Neo V development section..
Full wipe means : wiping system, data, cache and dalvik cachee..
So try it n flash kernel and flash rom by doing wipe..
it ll work for sure

I've wiped all my system, data, cache, and all using CWM. Now the device detected, but there's a new problem. It says the phone is not rooted. What? I'm VERY sure I rooted my phone. Even before installing CWM I made sure my phone is rooted.
What can I do now, My phone is stuck at Sony Ericson logo. I even cannot enter the CWM. Please....... TT:crying:

Thanks a lot, man. :good:
I've downloaded stock rom. But still cannot flash kernel, it says I haven't root the device. Even though I've rooted it and I'm sure.
Anyway, thanks again!

Thanks.

Sir, when flashtool says the device is not rooted it means bootloader isn't unlocked... for now flash stock ftf using flashmode in flashtool and then make sure the bootloader is unlocked then only install jb with PROPER INSTRUCTIONS Best of luck
Cheers,
AJ
Thank you all! I finally succeeded installing super jelly bean 6.0 after unlocking phone officially! Thanks!
