You'll always get that message once rooted even if there's no update available.

If your rooted you might as well install a custom rom, they usually update it all the time...unless u can unroot it with no probs since the phone just came out

I will be getting a note 2 either this week or the next. I am wondering if the newest ota is able to be rooted and unlocked so I can ROM up when I get it. Thanks. I heard that it would break root and patch the unlock but that was a week or so ago.

Yes, you can follow this guide to unlock/root your phone with the latest ota.

Looking to grab the 4.4.2 update OTA. But I'm rooted with TWRP.
I DO NOT have a computer of any kind. My question is, is it possible to revert to bone stock not rooted MJ4 with out a computer?
Sent from my SM-N900P using xda app-developers app
So I need to find a way to get the 4.4.2 official ota without a computer. I need to somehow flash a stock unrooted ROM, (can't update if system is modified...)
Or could I just flash the ota .zip in twrp?
Sent from my SM-N900P using xda app-developers app
You'd need to flash the 4.4 bootloader then flash freeza's stockish 4.4.2 rom in development. To get pure stock I believe you need a computer and Odin.

Oh dear. What I feared.
I may have to go up the library and use their computers if possible. XD.

Most libraries restrict downloading files.. You might be better off going to best buy lol..

You are in the wrong section. This is android development. Look in note 3 general. This has been answered numerous times. A MOD should be moving this soon to help and answers section. If you still have questions post them there. You'll find plenty of help I assure you.
