Help me find an unlock code....

I want to unlock my ATRIX so I can sell it to anyone in the gsm network.
How do I get the unlock code without paying some website?
Is there an app for this or pc program you can recommend?

I've heard u can call the provider but I paid $2 on eBay and got one.
I don't want to pay because I go through so many phones I would have to pay every 3-4 months for the unlock code.
I don't think the carrier would give me so many unlock codes a year.

If you bought your phone from a carrier, call the carrier, tell them you are going out of the country on vacation/business, and need the unlock code. They should give it to you with no problems.
If you bought from another source, do what the other poster said.
That's my problem...... I bought it off ebay with no contract.
I go through 4 phone s a year. Hoped someone could hook me up with a program that did it or I can buy and use over and over for each phone.

He was talking about SIM unlocking, not bootloader unlocking.
there's no free SIM unlocking program AFAIK, if the code is not from your carrier.
I don't need it be free. I just need a program to buy and use it for any gsm phone I get to unlock it.

I believe the SIM unlock code is per phone (the code for each phone is different). I saw someone posted some reputable web sites before, search for it.
He's each code is based on the manufacture and the IEMI number.
Just thought I could get an application for under $150 that has all the manufacturers and IEMIs on a database.
Just didn't want to pay and find a reputable website for each phone manufacturer.

Thanks. I will try my carrier - since its not bought from them I might not be granted this but I will stress I have been public valued customer for 7yrs with 3line. Might get me the code.
If not I will use your link. Thanks.
My main goal is to unlock this and throw it on eBay as an unlocked phone with no contract and mention root. This should allow the phone to sell for a higher price.
Thanks for all your help.
This is closed.

Called the carrier and BAM! in under 30 seconds they emailed me the unlock code.

[Q] Unlock Note locked to AT&T

Hey guys,
I just bought an AT&T Galaxy Note through Craigslist. I've bought other network locked phones before and unlocked it later using these extensive XDA forums. But this Note is locked to AT&T and cannot be unlocked without contacting AT&T for the unlock code. AT&T cannot give me the unlock code since I'm not an AT&T user. Is there anyway I can unlock this phone?
I hear Google has answers...
I swear the "help me unlock threads" keep popping up like cockroaches.

Not really. I just feel that at least one person has to keep it real even if its unpopular.
Let's put it this way. If I say it then everyone else who's thinking the same thing doesn't have to open their mouth and get in trouble.

Have you called ATT anyways?? Try it. Or get a code from a third party unlocker on ebay.

This is a GSM phone, not CDMA. They do not have to activate the phone.

You may not be subtle but you are correct. OP should have searched first. Most phones have to be unlocked this way. Thread should be locked before a spammer tries to leave his spamunlocker.com link here.
Ok. I seem to have enraged a few people.
Before I posted this question I searched for a similar question in the forum. The best result was how to unlock using the ATT code. I have already called AT&T and they're not willing to give me the unlock code. I've tried to get codes online. I've tried one and it didn't work. Now I am stuck with a phone that's just a PDA and not worth the money I put into it.
I was actually looking for answers from people who have gone through a similar experience. I thought this would be a commonly occurring issue. But I've tried what everyone of you have written here and it hasn't worked yet. So what should I do?

I bought the unlocked code from ebay around $4 and worked like charm and use the phone now on T-mobile network
If ATT won't give you the code, and they sometimes do even if you are not on ATT, then you have to buy your unlock code. Best bet is to purchase 1 from a vendor on ebay. You also need to be on the stock ATT ROM to do the unlocking. You cannot unlock the phone with a custom ROM on it.
I don't like giving reference to these 3rd party vendors but here is an informative video. If you go to youtube and read the directions with the video you should be fine.

I just called att to "unlock" my phone I preordered my note 2 so I'm waiting for the launch,But called att and asked if they would unlock this note 1..They unlocked it and gave me a code..So its officially unlocked now..
Thanks everyone for your helpful comments. I was able to get the phone unlocked through a friend's friend who works for AT&T. He just called customer service and got the unlock code. I think I just spoke to the wrong guy when I called. Anyway, the phone's unlocked and I'm very thankful to all you guys.

Unlock one x + on o2 uk

Hello all, I am currently rocking a galaxy note 2, love it, but its size is its greatest feature, but also its worst. I have decided to get a one x +, getting it on a super cheap O2 contract. I want to continue to use my three sim card, so my question is firstly does a uk O2 htc one x + come.network locked, and if it does where is the best place to get it unlocked. My three sim card comes with truely unlimited data, so want to continue to use it. Ibl have searched the forum, but can only find threats to do with at&t.
Thank you for any responses.

htc legend sim network pin

hi guys, it is possible to unlock it? it is au phone. i unlocked the bootloader already. but still simlock. can help me to unlock it, thanks a lot
Thank you mod for moving...

You need to purchase the unlock code, or ask HTC provide it for you, something I've never heard achieved.
Unless you mean you're locked out of your sim card itself, in which case you must contact your sim card provider, which is usually your carrier.

A little carrier switching help

Hey guys my biggest question is does the s4 come already gsm unlocked. Cause my plan was to buy it outright and put a straight talk sim in it and be good. I'm very new to this system coming from sprint. A little tutoring would be awesome. Thanks
