[Q] Running Clash of Clans on PC genymotion - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi Im new here. Just like to ask if anyone can play CoC on PC using Genymotion?
Android starts perfectly but everytime I try to run games like CoC I only get black screen or crashes.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

I can play CoC with Genymotion. The problem is that it quits unexpectedly after 1 or 2 mins everytime.
Maybe you have to check your VGA card whick support OpenGL or not.
How about other 2D or 3D games?

Well I have been trying lt of combinations, with me CoC works everytime, but as the other user mentioned it close itself with no warning or reason, here I discovered it crash before opening if you do not have / support the acceleration activated ( VT-x/AMD-V) you must enable it, some processors do not support it, so it may be the reason... by the way if you find a solution for the random crash once it runs I will be more than happy to hear how to fix it.

Yes, I can play it with genymotion default OVA, but you must do a little tweak in virtual box.

Hi. Can anyone post their working settings (virtual box)? Can't get it to work. TIA.

when i increased the system memory to 2048MB and video memory to 128MB in virtual box, the app stopped crashing!
it may work for you.:laugh:
my system info: WXGA 10.1 tablet 4.2.2 with google apps, mac maverick, macbook pro 2013

Still not working for me, though. How much system and video memory do your PC actually have? Will that affect the system and video memory you set in VirtualBox?

after i increased the memory in virtual box, it didn't stop crashing...but crashed in about about 10mins...
I got 8G system memory. Maybe the bigger memory you got, the longer coc will run

I got 16GB system memory and allowed virtual box to take over 10GB. but the game still crashes after about 10 min. maybe there is a maximum of running duration. But i think there must be another solution of this problem.
After testing i recognize that there is a newer version of genymotion. i thought may this problem is solved with the new version. so i updated it from 1.0.3 to 2.0.1. But there are some problems with the new version. first, gapps arent integrated anymore. but you can import it. the other problem is that CoC couldnt be installed on the new images. so i installed the old version 1.0.3 and recognized that i deleted the old image with gapps. i cannot install CoC anymore (maybe of missing ARM support). you should not delete the old images from genymotion, especially the ova-files. you could find the ova-files in \User\AppData\Local\Genymobile\Genymotion\ova
So i cant play CoC in genymotion anymore. maybe there is someone who doesnt deleted the ova-files and wanted to share?

Anyone have been able to run castle clash?. i did the arm and google apps thing but the screen flips then go back to vertical and castle clash do not run, tried almost every virtual device available, any help?

i installed castle clash with google play but it crashes after i opened it. clash of clans works fine on the same system.

Yeah i got the same issue some apps will run but castle clash and other games do not even open, i hope some one here can help us

Anyone here successfully install Chainfire3D?

Everytime I touch Install Driver it said: Cannot mount.
Rom used: UrukDroid 1.0 So it fully rooted.
I tried to play Plan&zombie but it keep closed,
ive gotten past the mount issue, it reboots but then next time i load the software it still asks me to install... no issues though
edit:
ive got it working , need superuser but a not r/w access given at boot im guessing it cant mount something thats already mounted
right issue... it doesnt keep after reboots...

How did you get it working?
installed Chainfire3D 1.9 on Uruk 1.1b3 today without any issue. Just install like any app, set some setting and played with Contract Killer. No much diff though.

You can install it on UD1.0 too
Since the Version 1.8 (of chainfire) the app works on our gen8
+1 Install works fine since 1.8.

There doesn't seem to be much difference, maybe more stability, but if you install the Tegra plugin, you can play Tegra 2 games such as Samurai 2 Vengeance, though the performance is a bit laggy. There's two other plugins as well, but I haven't researched which games they enable.
Also, I love Night Mode when I'm out late bow-fishing. I can turn the screen on to change songs without killing my night vision.

Somebody say that they have a better game experience with it
i can say: Gun Bros works better
and you can set a few options for games about graphics details and quality
from my opinion its very good
OK, it seems it's worth to install I'll try it. I'm not a hardcore gamer, all I need is Filler and HexDefence and Need for Speed sometimes but if Starcraft will be ported to Android this could help, I think.

[Q] Question: Chainfire 3D in new firmwares like XXKG6

Hi Guys,
Anyone here able to install Chainfire 3D Pro (paid) in XXKG6 firmware successfully, and was able to install drivers, and plugins (including shaders) successfully?
I encountered some problems upon installing plugins and shaders (fro GP Riptide). My phone sudddenly trapped in a bootloop.
Any ideas.

I've been using Chainfire3D since KF3. Went to KG3 and then KG6. I did not wipe in between updates and CF3D works fine on mine with no boot loops. Have you also updated to the latest version of CF3D on the market?
yes, I updated my chainfire from the market. i think the problem started when I install the shader for GP Riptide.....

Sorry for the totally noob question but would you know if the Pro version's per application setting automatically take into effect by just launching the game in the app drawer?

Yes it does. Once you set a per app setting for the game, it will automatically come into effect no matter where you launch it from, even from the launcher's homescreen.
running KG3 with nightly cm7, no probs here with chainfire 3d. All games running smoothly, including riptide

i'm using chainfire 3D pro paid, when i istall the driver
Riptide GP runs well but my webbrowser crashes everytime!
..without drivers browsing is fine but can't play Riptide GP

[Q] phone rebooting while installing hd games

hey guys, my optimus one keeps rebooting whenever i try to install an hd game like air attack hd, drift mania hd etc ..while reckless racing and some others work fine ..has anyone else faced this problem? ..am on megatron v1 and franco kernel v19.2
HD is a suffix that doesn't really mean anything in this context... it just looks cool.
When exactly does the restart happen? When you start the install, after a while, when you're done and launching the game for the first time...?
What's your system like? Do you use anything like DarkTremor? Do you install to internal memory or SD? Have you connected your phone to your PC and checked if there are any leftovers in .android_secure? Do you have ADB ready? Have you cleared your cache?
air attack hd is not compatible for the p500

this thing happened to me too.. when im INSTALLING the GAME the phone reboots by itself and when i opened my app drawer the game is not installed..
can you tell us exactly the reason behind that'? and what do we need to do to prevent our phone from rebooting while installing HD games'?
it'll be better if your will gonna tell us how to clean cache' how to delete left overs in android secure..

specifically what hd games are you talking about?
honestly i can't remember THOSE HD GAMES that caused the rebooting..
i remembered just one..
GuerillaBob.. and mostly Gameloft HD Games..
that's all i can remember

1. Connect to your PC, check the SD card for errors, then check if the list of files in the .android_secure matches what your phone reports to be installed on SD.
2. To clear the cache, restart into recovery mode, then select "clear cache"
All of this probably won't help with most Gameloft titles though... they are simply not designed for your hardware (and as far as I remember not sold to people with such devices). Obviously that still shouldn't crash the installer (though it is expected to crash the game), but my guess is that the games are simply too big.
guerrilla bob is not even supported on our phone so theres no way you could've downloaded it from the market. WAREZ
i downloaded guerrilla bob from some site and installed it..it runs for a few minutes then closes automatically..but, that's another matter...

it's overclocked to 748mhz..am on megatron v1..i know not all games are compatible with our phone but then it should give some error or something while installing..but the installation goes on forever and then the phone reboots..samurai vengeance, air attack and drift mania are the ones am talking about..

does the game size matter?..nova is running fine even though it's bigger in size than the ones i am talking about..
Let's put it this way: if a game is big, it usually has a more complex structure inside the APK as well and that can cause issues... at least that's what it looks like to me, but I haven't worked my way through that part of the Android source yet. Of course, it should not happen, but who knows what the malware you've downloaded is trying to do. Just stick to the market, for your and our sake, which is BTW also the component that's responsible for "not compatible" messages. APKs themselves don't have any concept of "compatibility".
in regard to the size of the game' i think that doesnt even matter.. i have a NOVA also running on my phone and it works fine on stock 2.2 rom ~

HD Games TIP : tried to find APK that is running on ARMV6.. i think you misunderstood me..am not a big gaming fan or dying to get these to run..but it was just bugging me why it reboots..was just worried if my phone has some problem..

Play Store missing aps

Hi all,
Im currently running cm10 20121205 and flashed gapps 20121011.
problem is now play store basically returns nothing. I installed shadowgun deadzone and asphalt 7 previously on cm9 from play, but deleted. now on cm10 i cant even search for them. they dont display in search results.
i'm running 132dpi, however have tried on 160 as well.
i've edited buil.prop to samsung SGH-T989 to see if that helps (hadnt done that on cm9), but no.
has anyone else got/had issues with play only showing limited results? how did u fix it?

Have you tried update-Rolands-Lite-V3-JB-4.2-Gapps-Extras-signed.zip, it's worked for some.
ended up re-installing lcd density modder pro and installing the fixed market from there (not the framework).
its an old version of the store, but it works

Games suddenly not supported on device using Remix OS

Ok so I decided to install this Remix OS and try it out. Its ok. I can play some games at work on a laptop that I turned into an android device. It has worked for 3 days now with the game FF Mobius. But today when I boot and try to launch the device (which hasnt had a recent update) it comes up with the error "This Device is not supported". So..... What happened? It worked for 3 days and then today it fails because it isnt supported? I tried reinstalling just to see if something happened to it but it cant get back into the game to finish the download because i get the same error message. I was thinking of installing this OS on multiple computers but if this is going to be a normal issue, i guess I wont. Anyone have any insight as to why this might have happened?
Incidentally, the device is an old Lenovo X220 tablet PC with touch screen. Like i said, it was working flawlessly until this morning. Not sure what happened while the machine was turned off over night.
Anyway, any help is appreciated.
@FumundaSaq I think this is a question for the creator of the game. He simply blocked Remix OS or your specific device. Why? No idea, I'm sure he had a reason.
To make things clear - nothing happened on your machine's side - it's the app only.

@FumundaSaq it doesn't matter who is the creator.
What matters is that he dictates the game requirements. It seems like this game checks your device through a database and rejects it by blocking game further function.
Like you said, it worked before, you didn't do anything and now it doesn't work - so the app creator had to modify the online part handling the app or there was an update for the game in play store that brought trouble. Second scenario is OK because all you'd need to do is go back to the previous release, but if it's the 1st then it's worse.
Of course you could change your device info fiddling in some system files and that would work but I don't recommend it. Only thing you can do now is contact the game dev about this.

If you haven't added anything stupid like a RAM editor - for game hacking then it's likely just a root checker. Should be able to verify that shortly

latest versions of remix os have a strange build.prop
it gives wrong screen size,wrong dpi and add as device id a acer tablet...
i am sure the problem is here. i dont know why remix have a so strange build.prop but to me,if the game is not compatible with the acer device remix use as id,the play store judge it as not compatible your device as well.

Ok so I guess you can delete this thread. Today it works.... I have no idea. I just thought I'd try it out and apparently it works now. Thanks for the input and suggestions all! This OS is still finicky. Anyway, thanks again.
