I love the Xposed Framework. It is amazing and so I want to share a little xposed module I customized from @rovo89 & @C3C076 volume skip track code and added the volume skip track mod by @loserskater to get more options. I got tired modding my android.policy.jar and secsettings.apk everytime there is a new firmware so I decided to make the mod into an xposed module.
I only have the Note N7000 on stock Touchwizz rom so I am not sure if it will work with other phone models or roms. Please try and let me know.
As it is an xpoded module it requires that you have already previously installed and activated the Xposed Framework by rovo89.
1. Download the module from below and install.
2. Open up Xposed Installer and activate the module and reboot.
3. Open Volume SkipTrack app and choose your settings.

This would indeed be wonderful!
It works perfectly with my Sense 5.5 HTC One. Great work! But it only working with the HTC music app. If I have Play music playing and then push a command with the volume buttons it well stop Play Music.
Thanks for this apps, it full worked on my GT-I8190N rooted (no deodexed juste XXAMG1 rooted ROM, look this ROM on XDA).
Just, why does it not avaible on repo.xposed.info and on Play Store?

Confirmed working like a charm with N5 and Poweramp. Thanks Developer!
Thanks for your hard work! This doesn't seem to work with anything but the stock music app on my stock rooted note 3. Are there any modules that allow control of the currently playing music app such as Pandora or Google play music, Spotify, etc? It seems that all modules that allow for screen of music control via the volume keys, or via remapping of soft touch keys only target the stock music app. Thanks in advance for your advice and direction.

Yes, I need to know this as well! I'm using ARHD rom (4.3) with for the HTC One with Sense 5.5. I use Google Music because all my music is uploaded on there. That would be great if a developer came up with a working solution for this that would be at the very least be compatible with Google Music and support the Nexus Phones, and top high end phones (Note 3, HTC One, S4, G2, etc). So far this only works for the HTC Music app.
Update 1: Hey all I've found a temporary solution to the issue above. If you have a default music app that you're using, you must disable it. I did this and now it all the music controls work with Google Music. If I run into any issues doing this, I'll report it.
Update 2: App currently doesn't work with Nexus 7 Stock 4.4.1 rom

It's simple + effective = perfect!
EDIT: only works on media apps that play from the phone, not like pandora or google play music
Doesn't work with Nexus 10 (4.4.2 Stock ROM) + Play Music.
Can you fix problem with compatibility for any device? It will be great.
Confirmed working on HTC One S on stock and GrooveShark music apps, thank you so much for this.

Coz GB is much better than ICS, JB even Kitkat and future android version to come
Do u think GB is extinct just like dinosaurs? Most of us dont have money to buy new devices man. Even our devices have latest version but its not for daily use at it's very unstable.
How can I return it to original steps I tried to uninstall it but nothing changed

Hi guys this is a little mod that i made to JJ's Hybrid 2.2 & 2.4 roms for myself, but someone asked if there was a way to improve the music audio on jj's hybrid rom and i have a solution so i decided that i would share it.
Whats in it?
-Google play music. (can be found on google play store) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.music
-Music fx. (from aokp rom, can also be found on google play store) > https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lifevibes.musicfx
-sound libs and conf files. (from aokp)
What does it do?
This app and lib combination gives excellent sound quality on JJ's hybrid roms, google play music uses the music fx app and the extra audio libs/files accessed through play music's sound effects.
What equalizer settings are available?
-Phone speaker:
When playing music through the phone speaker you get the normal equalizer presets + music fx (stereo widening) + the ability to manually adjust the equalizer.
-Headphones:
When using headphones to listen to your music you get the same as you would with phone speaker but with two extra features. 3D effect (equivalent to srs) + Bass booster (equivalent to beats audio) which are fully adjustable in play music sound effects.
Screenshots: see post 2
What roms does it work on?
-JJ's 2.2-3.0 Hybrid ICS roms for Xperia ray/arc. > http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1535971
Reported to be working on Neo and arc ICS roms too
Will it work on other roms?
I don't know all you can do is try it but don't blame me if it goes wrong.
If you do successfully install this onto another rom and if it works please let me know what rom you installed it on so i can add it to the list.
Disclaimer: If you flash this mod then you accept all responsibility, install at your own risk .
How to install?
1. This is very important.... MAKE A NANDROID BACKUP BEFORE DOING STEP 3! so if it goes wrong you can restore from backup, you have been warned.
2. Download the zip (found below) to root of sd card.
3. Boot into CWM recovery and flash the zip (easy as 123).
4. Reboot and enjoy.

Another version with CM9 player: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=26579248 thanks soumya_digi
NOTE: This mod will remove the standard google music app!
The credits for this is a grey area for me as i have ton's of crap on my pc so i am not sure of exact credits but it was all from aokp and google so all credits go to them for this, all i done was make it into a zip to share.
Don't forget the thanks button if this helps you

Great... Nice one mate.... I am gonna put up a link in my Thread coz I get too many requests to change Music Player...
I just keep it simple AOSP coz thats the Theme... and I know if I put up enhancements in ROM then users would start requesting for simple one...
Having Addons like this would obviously benefit my ROM users...
Thanks .....

This is just a simple guide to change DPI of certain apps and make it look like tablet apps (just the same way as in Paranoid Android ROMs). There's no complex method involved, no flashing zips and stuffs. Just wanted to share my findings with you guys.
Requirements:
Rooted stock ICS or stock ICS based ROMs (Tested on Viper Xperia v2.1)
Procedure:
Download and install latest Xposed Framework from here:
[FRAMEWORK] Xposed - (2.1.2)(05.02.2013)
Follow the How to install steps in the OP of the link.

Reboot.
Now download and install the Xposed App Settings from here:
View File
After installation, enable the module from Xposed Installer.
Reboot.
After booting up, now you are ready to open Xposed App Settings to change App preferences.
Now let's proceed to edit the DPI, for example Settings apk to make it look like as in Tablets.
Launch Xposed App Settings.
Search for Settings.
Select it, and enable the toggle above.
Now set the DPI to 160 and Screen(dp,px) to 600x1024.
Click the Save icon and exit.
You'll have something that looks like:
Enjoy experimenting with other apps.
More Examples:
Walkman:
Friendcaster Pro:
Youtube:
Note : For those who are using small apps, its better not to play with SystemUI DPI.
One humble request, since many of us already know about Xposed Framework, so please don't spoil this thread for those who don't know. Thank you. :fingers-crossed:

Try your own values to make things look perfect to you.
And for the Walkman, change the dpi to 100, and screen (dp,px) to 800x1280, that will fix Landscape layout.

This is a simple Android Xposed module to replace the default Android App Not Responding and Crash Pop-up messages with your own custom messages and/or sound effects!
Included sound effects
"He's dead, Jim" - Leonard McCoy from Star Trek TOS
"I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that." - HAL9000 from 2001: A Space Odyssey
"Ah ah ah, you didn't say the magic word" - Dennis Nedry (Newman) from Jurassic Park
Note: The Youtube links above are much longer than the sound effects in the module.
The trimmed versions of these sounds are copied to the external storage directory in folder /soundfx.
In-app selector is also included to use your own sounds.

Tips & Hints
To include the name of the not responding/crashed app in your custom error dialog, use %1$s (percent sign, number 1, dollar sign, lowercase s).
Changes requires soft reboot to activate.
Known Issues
Certain types of app crashes on some tested devices have a few second delay playing the sound effect
Some devices will not play the sound clip for the in-app crash test button

I try my best to thoroughly test everything I publish, but given the staggering number of devices, ROMs, and apps I cannot make any guarantee that something will go wrong. Use at your own risk!

Love this module
There's only one thing which keeps me from enjoying the sound as well...
Would it be possible to route the sound through ringer/notification stream instead of media stream? I don't want sound to be played when the phone is set to silent for example in school or in a meeting.
Seems like just a small chance in code but I'm not that good at coding to accomplish that...

I need to second this. My media stream is almost always turned off because otherwise I'd be hearing noises in class. Notification stream would be a better choice. Otherwise, this is a pretty snazzy module.

AFAIK the app creates a folder called sound_fx or similar in /sdcard0 (internal memory) when launched (which I find rather annoying since the app copies the files every time it's started. I moved the files into 'ringtones' and next time I want to customize the dialog the folder is created again).
This folder should contain the named sound files

How can I fast-forward or seek to a specific part of an audio I'm listening to? This is more relevant if my phone had to be rebooted or my player crashes while I'm listening to an audio book. When I restart the app, I may not want to start from the beginning but from the place I've stopped earlier.
The KitKat player had a progress bar that I could drag to a point where I want the player to start playing from. I'm unable to do that from the Lollipop Music Player.

This will activate google left, DT2S works as it should, and no real side effects (you may notice some stuff missing in the about phone section, but it appears cosmetic, or it may be just me)
I've made a magisk mod to simplify it. Just uninstall anything related to making left work, update to the latest OOS launcher in the playstore, flash the mod and reboot.

Tip: If you want to keep the same layout of your homescreen from the original launcher, use OnePlus Switch application to backup OnePlus Launcher and after you have the modded launcher with Google Feed installed, do a restore for OnePlus Launcher from OnePlus Switch, worked like a charm. Avoids having to re-do the entire homescreen layout or app folders.

Wohoooo was waiting for this since ages...thanks brother
Fantastic!!! it was the "extra touch" I missed.
Hi guys, I'm new, please help. The article said that flash this. But via TWRP or Magisk?
Edit: um, sorry abt this, I came across a topic saying flash via TWRP is system mod, via Magisk is Magisk module. And based on the topic name, it should be flashed via Magisk
Any way for you to make a mod to add a Google search bar in the app dock area like on the Pixel launcher?
That would be amazing
Anyways great mod, flashing it now!

Maybe I'm crazy but on dark theme animations are like crazy .. maybe it's touch latency and that feel more on darkness theme? Animation are 1x on develop mode, rooted with magisk 17.2 with patched boot IMG I don't remember if with stock IMG it's the same or not..
Can anyone confirm, that this mod leads to a dysfunction of V4A Sound-Mod?

V4A has nothing to do with this mod. Reflash v4a or aml.
